i'm going to the DOLLAR TREE (& target) tonite - i read in another thread they had stuff that other cruisers used for their door signs....will go to Michaels too if i don't find it at either of those stores

That's a tough one - but i LOVE Indiana Jones ride at DL; and Cal Screamin CA or Aerosmith's Rockin Roller coaster at MGM - same ride - different locales and props!!!

ohhhh...fun, fun, fun!!

have never been to wdw...and don't go to dl that often...i do like the buzz lightyear astro blaster ride. it's really cute! i used to love those crazy fast ones...still do, i guess...but now we go for the "kiddie" rides, since they can't go on those crazy fast ones yet! although DS6 mentioned that he wanted to go on tower of terror! yikes! i don't know about that one!!!! have to make DH go w/him! and he doesn't really like crazy fast roller coasters!

TofT will be okay - not a roller coaster at all - just drops you really fast - then back up and drop again - maybe further or less than before - does this 7 8 times and the sequence is different each time - DS & DH will love it! i waited for our WDW trip till DS was really old enough to completely enjoy every bit of it; didn't need naps and we could just go all day long - which we did!!!! It was the perfect time/age for us to go there...and we're ready to go back too!!!

i like mulan, and little mermaid! but i have to tell you my encounter w/cinderella...
you all know we have 2 DSs, and they are so not into princessess...but when we saw cinderella, i told them, oh look, there's cinderella!! go take a picture w/her! of course, they were not thrilled. (they were 4 & 2 at the time). anyways, so i scoot them over, and she bent down to their level, and they sort of leaned into her & sat on her puffy blue dress. and she made a comment about "oh, how adorable they are" or something to that effect. now, mommy here, have never heard cinderella speak, except on tv/movie. and her voice is so sweet! well, this cinderella, omg!! her voice sounds just like she does in her movie!!!!!!! i swear!! i just stared at her...and i looked over at DH! (i was in awe of seeing cinderella, and actually hearing her voice!) and after the photo op, i thanked her, and rushed over to DH, and asked him...did you hear her???!! omg!!! her voice is SO SWEET!!! like the real cinderella! (and i was trying to sort thru reality vs. fiction here!!)

needless to say, i was so THRILLED in hearing her speak! the pix of our DSs w/cinderella...they just did it, cuz mommy made them! but it turned out cute!

i totally had a "omg" moment w/a character!! and i knew exactly how a little girl feels like when she meets/sees a princess for the very first time!

ok...i'm back! are we at 1000 yet?

oh how sweet - my first fav character (when i was 8 - can't even tell you HOW MANY YEARS ago this was!!! ) was cinderella too....because my grandparents gave me this beautiful Cinderella watch that came with a porcelain statue of Cinderella....it was my FIRST Disney gift! I lived in Iowa then & WDW did NOT even exist yet....okay so that gives you a clue anyway!!!

how old was your boy when you went there? ours still take naps...sometimes, i wish they didn't, so we can just keep on going...but other times, i'm grateful for the quiet moments! and i take a nap too! hee hee...

that would be a good age...they have bundle of energy! even my DSs! they just don't realize they need naps! they could be so tired, cranky due to tiredness...and still insist on "no, i'm NOT tired!!"

i know for my DH, "go, go, go" would not be a vacation!!!!! we'd need a vacation AFTER the vacation! just to recover!

Okay by the time i get back online - we'll have met and probably surpassed our 1000 posts!! Off to the school to turn in last minute registration forms and absentee paperwork for those 2.5 days DS is going to miss!! Will let you all know what i find in the way of magnetic tape.....

Yes, we're staying at GC.

I did TOT first time when went to WDW in April and hated it. I was really starting to get sick to my stomach from all the drops. The effects before the drops was really cool though.

Favorite ride - Haunted Mansion
Favorite character - the mouse
Favorite ride DL - Mr. Toad (because we don't have it at WDW anymore)
