Katie...how was the nemo ride. they're getting it done in disneyland, but not till summer 2007. can't wait. i think it's like a submarine ride thing, right?

Yes, the Nemo ride coming to Disneyland is going to be a submarine thing. The one they just opened at Epcot isn't though. Thats just a dark ride, like Peter Pan or Snow White where you ride through and see scenes of the movie. It was cute, but not something I would wait too long in line for. I think big fans of the movie and kids probably get more out of it. It wasn't bad, just nothing "WOW" to me...like the show in AK was.

So - who's going to book for 2008 CA cruises? I may change our Nov date when bookings open up but not sure if we will be going or not.

Probably not us....would LOVE to do the REPO - but those dates dont' work with school schedules...and after this cruise in April, we'll be doing the Eastern cruise in 2009....BUT if the magic takes one more trip to the west coast after '09 - i'll definitely be on one of those Repo's!!!!

Once again we really wanted to do a 7 day Caribbean in the summer of 08 and once again, they mixed things up on us. Between dry docks and moving the ship, Im beginning to think there is a reason I shouldn't do a 7 day Caribbean. ;)

But we have been going back and forth about whether to do back to back 3/4 nighters or just head out to CA again. Right now we are leaning toward CA for either the July 20 or Aug 10 cruise. We usually like to go as late as possible in the summer, however I realized DH will be turning 40 that year so it might be nice to be on the ship for that in July (and our anniversary...both in the same week). So we may be back out there for one of those cruises.

i can't believe the magic is coming back!! we're looking at the repo from la to canaveral. the date looks kinda "good", like it's workable...but have to really check on that. if not, maybe one in august/july too. (like Katie!) we'll see. i did place a call to our ta...have to talk to her!

Katie...(and anyone else!) if you do decide to come to la...we can hang out and have a "mini meet" at disneyland! let me know if i can help you in anyway. it would be so cool to meet up again! :flower:

Hey - let me know if you get a mini meet together...we'll fly down for the day!!! :-)

Soooooo??? Has anyone booked?

We went back and forth a zillion times and ended up going the other route. We are doing back to back 4 & 3 nighters, July 20 and 24th. :yay:

Not us - I priced a cat 6 for 8/3 for the 3 of us and got a price of $6993.95!!!!

I'm so annoyed that the Magic is not going to be doing 7 day Caribbean's for the 2nd year in a row. Who knows when we will be able to cruise again.

got 2, actually. now have to decide which to keep...we got one for mexico july 13th, and the eb repo. i really want to do the repo, since it's a longer cruise...which means more time to explore the ship, be pampered, etc. mexico one, i feel like, "ok, been there, done that". although the boys will be older & we can explore the ports more, i suppose. we have till saturday to decide. will let you know what we end up w/...:flower:

Woohoo! How exciting...and what tough choice.

Nancy, I too wish they were going to alternate 3, 4 & 7 nights on the Wonder as I would have preferred the 7 Western. I'm just looking at this as pretty much time on the ship and beach time at CC.

Katie

What I really don't like about back to back is
1. It costs more than a 7 day cruise.
2. I love the days at sea and you don't have any.

Maybe I'll look into a cruise out of NY - that way we wouldn't have any airfare to worry about. I priced out a Norwegian cruise line this coming summer and it was only about $1000 per person/first 2 people for a veranda.

I hope Disney knows what it's doing because it seems to me pretty soon no one will be able to afford to go. Maybe they are using the extra money to build the third ship.:rolleyes1

I totally agree the prices are crazy. I'm still having a bit of buyers remorse over this.;)

When we priced it out first thing Wednesday, the 7 night Mexican Riviera was a bit more than the back to backs. But unfortunatley doing the back to back we only get the 10% off 1 of the cruises where as if we did the 7 night it would be off the total price. Plus our $200.00 credit went down to 100.00. So in the end it came out about the same....but still painful. :scared1:

We have the Norwegian Majesty here in Boston and have done that to Bermuda. We liked it a lot...driving 20 minutes to the port was awesome! I think once the kids get a little older we will be trying Royal Caribbean. Maybe Ill finally get my Western Caribbean cruise. ;)

oh yes...the prices are outragous!! there are so many other cruises that go to the same places & it's so much cheaper. although i've never been on any other cruiselines. and living here in the west coast, we have many options, with out having to fly anywhere.

i was telling my DH that maybe this will be our last disney cruise...cuz the boys are getting older, and we've got disneyland if/when we need our disney fix. but of course, things will change once they bring a ship out to the westcoast permanently...like it's been "rumored"...we'll see...

the prospect of possibly going back on the magic is exciting enough for me right now!! :flower:

hey girls....so glad to see you're all going on cruises again soon....i'm just sad we won't be together on any of them....our DIS group is finally getting some 'activity' on our thread for our Western cruise april 7th. There are a couple other women travelling alone that i'll meet up with at Palo....and we're trying to get a DIS meet that 1st Sat on board...wishing you all the best....do hope we get our own Disney ship soon here on the WC - but i can't bring myself to try another cruiseline...and Ryan isn't interested either......

Hi all -

For some reason, I was notified of only brenda's most recent post - first since September 05 - thought it was an error, but logged in, and saw everyone's posts ... took me back, to say the least.

We just booked the caribbean double dip for November 2008 for us ... Mex Riviera just seemed expensive ... and this time, the whole family will come! Gabe & Eavan, and the twins, who will be 4 by then and able to enjoy the clubs, and DH, who wishes he came last time.

Best!
KC
