We werent sure what dining time we wanted. We had late but were waitlisted for early. I think we ended up getting early(docs say main), but now I'm leaning toward wanting late. If we can change it and get our own table (this is something I really want, and am hoping to get), I will change it. I'm looking at the Sailaway party is at 5:00, right? If I have to be ready for dinner at 6:00, I'll miss that. That stinks! Plus eating all day I dont think we will be hungry for dinner by 6:00. So, Ill be visiting the dining assignment changes area upon boarding.

i'll bring m&m plain. safer that way!

it might be a good idea for late dinning...w/all those time changes! as you know, we're from the west coast, and w/all those time changes, we'd be eaing dinner at 4 (our time!!!!) ughh...

candies! (i'm thinking m&m's...only cuz i love them! i'd get m&m's peanuts. are there any children that are allergic to peanuts? if so, i can get plain ones! only reason i ask is because our DS6 is allergic to peanuts, and he knows he can't have anything peanuts!) i figure candies are good, can use them anytime!

where do we give them to you? and i assume you need those mickey tag things. do you need me to label them for you w/the family names/code names? just let me know! i can even string lime green ribbons around it, and that way, when you get them on the ship, it'd be easy to for you to tie it around your goodie bags?

oh this is getting so exciting!!!!!!

as for computer savvy...i am SO NOT!!!!!!! i got help from Brenda & couple others on another thread! if i could do it, anyone can! i used photobucket. just go to their website, upload your pix, and use their url address thing that they provide for your pix, and copy & paste it onto your signature on the disboard thing! that simple! like i said, if i could do it, anyone can!
and thank your for the compliment on my family! yes, i think my boys (all three of them!! ha ha) are a handsome bunch! ok, i'm biased!

Those that are contributing to the goodie GIFT BAG (it is about 8 1/2 x 11 or slighter bigger) - please bring them with you when we have our 1st cruise meet. If there are many items, please put them all in a ziploc bag (remember 20 sets). It makes the assembling process fast and stress free. So this is what we have so far.

Hi Susie- My friend who went on the cruise did early seating b/c of the kids and she said she would do late seating next time around because she felt rushed.
But that's her opinion..I read a few people saying they love early seating.
She said getting dress for formal at 4:30 was too early for her and the family.

I think you'll be fine tho. It will be cool to see the family at dinner tho

Not sure about the colors. I read that even tho it will be hot when we go to Mazatlan...a few people suggest wearing jeans because you may get "scaped" or bruised from the horse rubbing on your inner thighs. I think we will wear jeans for protection and if it get's too hot we will change.

How about jeans and powder blue shirts (boys) and pink tops (girls).
Any color is fine with me.

I just read that you can get 10% off at Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto, Pch Grill, Plaza Inn in Disneyland and Wine County Trattoria in DCA. Also you get 20% off on a Walk in Wlat's Footsteps and Welcome to Disneyland Tour by showing your AAA card.

Also I believe there used to be a 10% off coupon in the back page of the Birnbaums Disneyland Official Guide. If you make all of your purchases at one time in the Main Street Emporium and you spend more than say $150.00 it would pay for the book. If you spend more you would save even more. I am not sure if this coupon is still there you you need to check.

Oh yeah we got our docs today.

I will bring something for each of the goodie bags.

We plan to go straight to the pool when we board then get lunch and eat pool side. This will most likely be the only time that the pool area is somewhat empty. Anyone want to join us. We will most likely be at the Mickey pool.

packing changes? did people already started packing yet??!! wow! we have sd luggage to unpack still!

Guilty. I've been packing for a few weeks now. When I see something I want to take I throw it in my suitcase.

Sailaway usually starts at 4:30 (right after lifeboat drill) and 5:00 is when the ship pulls away from the dock. I've found we usually have plenty of time to go to our room afterward and get ready for dinner at 6:00.

If you have a Disney Visa card you also get free stroller rental and a character greeting and photo.

OMG - see what happens when i go to bed at 8:30 or so??? Everyone gets online!! I'm with Nancy on the packing - altho not in suitcases yet - waiting for Disney Direct to get them here but everything (for me anyway) is piled up on the guest room bed - so no more visitors for us for a month or so!! guess i should start on Ryan's sometime soon too!!!!

Speaking of 'matching' clothes - it will be really interesting to see how many of us bought the same clothes from Disney.....the TIKI dress/shirt/shorts the Americana swimsuit & flipflops etc. - i can't even remember everything i bought - but i'm expecting to see a lot of it onboard!!!!

oh, i thought of something for the goodie bags! a mini photo album! i'm going to check out target or big lots tomorrow, to see if i can get 20 of them. and i'll make a little mini DIS photo album, so we can all have a place to put our DIS friends' pix in. nothing fancy! thought it was a cute idea! will let you all know tomorrow! and i'll still do the m&ms plain!

DH and I are making a quick weekend trip to WDW (without the kids!) for our 10th! Its also DH's birthday on Sunday.

I am afraid that this trip will be too short...sort of just a tease, ya know? I went down to WDW solo in December, from a Friday morning to a Monday afternoon. That felt a bit short and this is even shorter. We only have 1 park day, but I figure we do the parks enough with the kids. I want to relax and do the adult stuff we usually dont get to(Jellyrolls, PI, lay on a lounge chair by the pool, enjoy our meals...and drinks, LOL). This time tomorrow Ill be a basket case, LOL!

HA - I was thinking the same thing - i CANNOT get my hubby to any DL or WDW park anymore
so I'm thinking DH & Irene should hook up while Randall & I hit the parks!! i'm thankful my son still likes to go though.....also, let me know what park maps you are not able to get - i think I have some extra ones from our NOV trip that i could bring for Randall - have a really good time!!! I'm envious that your DH will go for an adult wkend!!!!

The kids and I went to Disneyland today, last minute (we have annual passes) and I saw something that might be nice for the goodie bags - they sell these little gold sparkle and black Mickey Mouse balls - the kind that go on a car antenna or the end of a pen. Gold for the 50th anniversary celebration. If that sounds interesting to anyone, I'll pick them up when I go back in two weeks -

Also, anyone need/want gold mickey ears? they're quite cute -
