Yes I did mean Katie. Oh well. I kind of have some of the names in my head. I just am not always sure who belongs to whom. I heard that the Magic is rolling in the seas right now from a DIS on board. Remember to bring the dramamine just in case.

Looks like Arlene and I think Brenda are eating a Palo's at 11:00 am on Monday. This is the same time as our party of four.

Hi all -

The kids and I went to Disneyland today, last minute (we have annual passes) and I saw something that might be nice for the goodie bags - they sell these little gold sparkle and black Mickey Mouse balls - the kind that go on a car antenna or the end of a pen. Gold for the 50th anniversary celebration. If that sounds interesting to anyone, I'll pick them up when I go back in two weeks -

Also, anyone need/want gold mickey ears? they're quite cute -

HA - I was thinking the same thing - i CANNOT get my hubby to any DL or WDW park anymore
so I'm thinking DH & Irene should hook up while Randall & I hit the parks!! i'm thankful my son still likes to go though.....also, let me know what park maps you are not able to get - i think I have some extra ones from our NOV trip that i could bring for Randall - have a really good time!!! I'm envious that your DH will go for an adult wkend!!!!

A few years ago I caught on to DH's strategy. He makes me out to be the Disney freak..."OH SHE wants to go again..." stuff like that but deep down , it's HIM! He just wont admit it.
We did Disney for a day and a 3 day Disney cruise alone about 3 years ago(My 30th birthday gift). That was wonderful! We take our kids enough that we dont feel bad going alone when we get the rare chance. 24 hours from now Ill be on my way to the airport!

Randall - I'm willing to go to WDW anytime LOL. I would never be able to go without DS (he loves Disney as much as I do - probably more).

Brenda - my DH is like yours. One year he said "no Disney". We went to Canada. While we were in Toronto we went to see the Lion King. So we got our Disney fix anyway. Maybe there should be a separate DIS meet for all the significant others who wouldn't go to Disney every chance they get. 2 years ago I booked a Western Disney cruise. A few days later I won a trip to WDW on a local radio station. 2 days later DH got a letter from Hilton that he had won a trip to any Hilton in the world. Of course we went to DL on that trip. We did WDW in January, DL in June and DCL in August. The next year was the absolutely no Disney vacation LOL.

Well fortunately i'm not afraid to travel without him....DS & I had a GREAT time at WDW by ourselves last november! We hit the parks early - and stayed all day - no grumbling no naps no need to watch ESPN - all those things DH has to do!!! But i will give him credit that whenever he has to travel to LA on business (his home ofc is there) OR has to go for a golf game....then DS & I get to tag along and he'll get us to DL and pick us up whenever we're ready to leave....

Kasey - i love the idea of the blk/gold mickey balls!!!

Nancy - you should have played the Power Ball lottery when you & DH were winning all those trips!!! There was definitely some "MAGIC" going on!!!

My DF just brought our GOLD EARS - they are VERY CUTE!!!! Just FYI - they run pretty big, so i got the infant size for myself - it comes with a chin strap, that can go under my hair in the back to hold it on....

Also, she was NOT able to get the Mickey chocolates - line at Candy Palace was TOOO long
so i just have the cruise and Disney stickers for the gift bags...

Had to share this with you all - my DF Vanessa is the artist for this statue for the 75th Anniversay InspEARations tour. All 75 Mickey statues are being auctioned at Sotheby's in NY on Sept 27th. What you probably don't see in this photo is the film strip that Mickey is holding contains cells from many different Disney films. Also the sad thing is Mickey was SUPPOSED to be wearing his "sorcerer hat" but when the statue creators made hers they left it off (no explanation)...but I'm still very proud her drawing was chosen...

hummm - i don't remember - i'll have to look at her original again...it's really awesome - there are 'magical' sparks flying from the film strip too....which i can understand they couldn't incorporate into the statue....
She's an awesome artist - and was studying at Disney Animators Institute for a few years as well.....

Guilty. I've been packing for a few weeks now. When I see something I want to take I throw it in my suitcase.

Sailaway usually starts at 4:30 (right after lifeboat drill) and 5:00 is when the ship pulls away from the dock. I've found we usually have plenty of time to go to our room afterward and get ready for dinner at 6:00.

If you have a Disney Visa card you also get free stroller rental and a character greeting and photo.

Everything sounds great! Thanks Randall and Starwood for the tips. Does putting things in your bags as you go really count as packing? If so, I'm guilty as charged!
It sure looks like we're all going to take a dip in the pool first thing.

Hey my new MICKEY luggage was shipped today - YEAH!!!! now i can get the 'stuff' off the bed and into the suitcases!!!! so i'll be officially packing as well!!

Okay - sounds like it's the pool 1st - and Bahama Mama's 2nd!!!

I have all the names of each family member except for DM. I may have missed it on one of your post. I got her 70th birthday celebration noted but not her name.

Still waiting for my docs - TA said she will receive them on July 31 and FedEx to me on Aug 1 .......still too long of wait for me.
She was wrong about making reservations online hopefully the docs will be in sooner than July 31.
