August 10- NYC Cruise to Nowhere

Is anyone else going on the 2 day cruise to nowhere from NYC on 8/10/12?

I'm trying to plan it now, as a girls weekend away. maybe we'll see you there! Do you know anything about the itinerary? I know they did them last year on the Wonder when it was in the Pacific.

Yes, my DH and myself will be on this cruise. August 10th is my birthday so we thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate. This cruise is also the first for both of us.

We are going too!
Our family is Me, DH, DD10, DD8
Also going is my bff, her dh,dd10, and dd7

My husband surprised me with the cruise as one of my Christmas gifts!!! :thumbsup2

The best part? It's 2 days away without any of the children. We have never been away from the kids for more than a few hours. Can you tell I'm excited?

We are from Morris County, NJ - about an hour west of the port.

Where are you all from?

I'm glad there will be more Disers on this cruise! :cool1:

We are from Hershey, PA. It takes us about 3 hours to get to NYC.

TinkerTY - DH and I will be cruising without our twins. This will be the second time we will be away from them overnight. I'm excited but I know I'll miss them like crazy too.

How exciting!!!

We vacation at Hershey frequently. Actually, we were just there in December to see a concert. We love it there, but it doesn't compare to WDW. :lmao:

We are also sailing on the Dream in May (as a family). It's definitely going to be a fun vacation filled 3 months for us.

DH and I are going. This will be our 4th time with DCL, 2nd time on the Magic. We are actually staying in an inside cabin for the first time to see what that is like and how we would do with no windows or balcony on a longer cruise. DH would have a hard time though getting me to give up my veranda on longer cruises than this one.

My understanding from those who did this before is that you will be assigned to the same dining room both nights, the menus in all Dining Rooms are identical. No fireworks or Pirate Night. There are shows but not sure which ones.

I just pray we have sunshine the one day we have at sea. :goodvibes

We're another Morris County couple! DH and I will be on this cruise. We usually go to WDW for our August anniversary, but decided to change it up this year. We love cruising out of NY!

How exciting! I would love to meet someone "local". :)

Our anniversary is in April - we typically go to WDW between March and May to celebrate.

We have been booked since last April 12th..just checked my invoice. It will be a girls weekend with about 10 of my friends....I have always wanted to get them onboard a Disney ship since we usually do a weekend trip once a year. Thought thought this was the perfect time to introduce most of them to DCL (2 cruised with us to Alaska on DCL over the summer). We have all been friends for about 20 years so this will be great. We are only about 30 minutes from the port so this will be so convenient with no flights!!:lovestruc

My DH and I will be on this cruise, too. We're on this one and the August 12th 5-night to Canada, too (so we're B2B). We're avid Disney vacationers and cruisers----these two cruises will be our 12th and 13th :thumbsup2

This sounds like a fun girls weekend! What a great way for some of them to get introduced to DCL.

I'm glad to see that more DISers will be on this cruise! :thumbsup2

Six months from today we'll be setting sail.

Hi everyone!

We just booked as well! I should say "I"! It will be a surprise for our anniversary, which is Aug 4! It will be Me, DH & our DD! I'm super excited!

We're from LI, so I'm looking forward to taking the train to ship.....never thought I'd be saying that! Penn Station has DCL ads everywhere promoting their NY sailings!

BTW, Hi Erik & Jason!!

Hi Everyone, We are joining you on this cruise.

Erik and Jason, I think I saw you on another cruise that we are taking over the summer.

Hello All!
DH indulged my request to go on this cruise for my 30th birthday! We recently had twins so it will be our first solo get away! Can't wait to see everyone and relax for a bit!

Wow...I haven't checked in on this thread for a couple of weeks. I'm so happy to see that we have more people joining us on the cruise! I'm excited. I've never sailed The Magic but I'm sure it will be a fun weekend get away. :)
