I called my TA today to make final payment and still waiting for her to call back. I guess I can do online check-in when we're all paid. Looks like excursions can't be done until 5/27 - right?

What is everyone doing at Castaway? Is there a better place/side to settle in there?

We finally made the decison to drive from Chicago to Disney World and then to the port. Two families in my group will fly and one will follow us.

I think when you book excursions depends on whether you have taken previous Disney cruises. I was able to book on May 12th because I have taken one previous cruise. I haven't made any specific plans for Castaway Cay yet. Last time we were there, we had so much fun just snorkling and walking around. They had a treasure hunt that the kids really enjoyed. The kids programming was fantastic on the island and my son (then only 5 years old) did not want to leave to be with us the entire day. I undertand that the island has been expanded a great deal since then (2006), so I am excited to explore, and am really happy this cruise has 2 days there. I would be interested to hear others' recommendations as well.

We will be driving also (from PA), and spending a few days at the parks before the cruise. We cannot wait!!

FYI.....For those of you with kids who are planning on going to the Disney parks before or after the cruise, the Disney Educational Series provides a great way to get some really deep discounts on tickets. The program is geared towards kids ages 6-17, with classes held in different Disney parks. If just one child from your family signs up for one class, the whole (immediate) family can purchase the discounted tickets! (My kids are each signed up for 1 class.) I booked the Atlantis Aquaventure for our group,DH, DS, DDiL and 3 DGC ages 7, 8 and 9 on Nassau day. I think the time was 9AM. Anyone else doing that?

I'm also trying the snorkeling off the boat on CC. I'm not steady walking on sand, weak ankles, so this way I'm going to definitely do some snorkeling.

I took the 11:30 to 12 noon sign in time. It's getting closer!!!
