So they also had lots of activities for the Children.
They had I think it was a story book reading and all the kids sat on the floor and listened.
They had them up there doing all kinds of fun things all the kids were involved and there sure were alot of kids!
At the end before we were getting ready to go out for the dessert buffet they brung in Goofy and Minnie and had them dancing with the kids and giving autographs then your GG also got to take there picture with them at the end.
Before we headed out to the dessert buffett our waitresses and waiters came around and gave us GG pins as we had to wear these to be admitted across the way to the dessert buffett!
The kids all had a blast here I think they actually liked this one more then the safari don't get me wrong the safari was great to and had lots of fun things to do but this one just seem to get the kids going a lil more!
So after we were done with our GG picture we headed on over to the dessert buffet and fireworks. The Buffett was really nice and yummy !
The fireworks were great from the view we had we actually were picking the soot off after the fireworks were over! This was a really really fun night and was well worth the 2 TS credits on the DDP ! If you can get 8ppl together to do this I highly recommend it!
Then if your a pin collector you also get the pin and you can only get it at the GG!
I don't believe there was actually food from every country but close to everyone .
It was a good variety and if you decided you want to do it and your not sure if you'll like the food usually most ppl like pasta and they had 2 types of pasta and so many ppl asked him for a spagetti with alfredo he madea big batch of it up!
They really went out of their way to make everyyone happy! But let me tell you waiting in line it all smelled really Yummy! I didn't try everything I think I had the rice, the cheese soup and the pasta and I think thats all I had.
But If you are undecided between Safari and Illuminations and can only do one I think it depends on you and what you would enjoy more it's a hard call the food at both was great!
The atmosphere's at both were great also!
I don't know if I could tell you which of the 2 to pick! lol!

So that is the end of our final Grand Gathering after it was over we still had about 2 to 2 1/2 hours left on the Evening EMH so we all decided to go do the countries I believe we did Mexico and Norway and Germany and we took a few silly pics I only have a few of those

So after we were done goofing around and riding a few rides in the countries we headed on back to the buses and headed back to POP to call it a night! Stay tuned for day 6 8/29 our DHS day includes american idols and a family member involved in Indian Jones Stunt spectacular and more......

The food looks great on the drink table are those beer bottles? Do they offer alcohol and if yes is it extra? I just said to DH the GG would be fun but its not fair that you have to have 8 or more in your party.

The food was really good. And those bottles I believe were flavorings for the coffee. No alcohol. sorry

HI! Everyone sorry I'm not going to have an update until probably tommorrow .
I have to get it all ready it's a long day and a nice amount of pics so I want to get it all wriiten
before I post because if not i'll be here all night!
I have to go check my email just realized I haven't checked it in like 3 days or more!!
I don't even know scary! See DIS is not the only thing i'm slacking on lately this next trip is coming so fast
and I just can't get into it.
Idk maybe when were there it will be different.

I believe you can do it either way oop or ddp. That kinda stinks only needing one more person. Maybe you can find someone going the same time that wants to do it. It's really fun.

Joy the GrandGatherings were both great and HDDMR was also great we had front row stage seats! That doesn't come until Sept 1st .


I didn't do an update tonight because I am missing my book with my notes as soon as I find it I will get in 8/29 . It may be in my bag I hope I don't

August 29th, 2009
We woke up and had some breakfast then went swimming for a bit.
This trip we seemed to do alot of sleeping in which is unusual for us when we are on vaca I usually have them up and out as early as possible but that was not the case this trip . So I had been texting back n forth all day with Danica zero to hero about possibly going and checking out The American Idol Experience as her BF LOU was trying out ! So she texted me and told me he made the first cut and I can't remember for the life of me what time the show was he was in but anyways we headed over to DHS in time to first catch the parade w/ High School Musical it was really cute!
We had a lil more time to pass so we headed on over to Rockin Roll Roller coaster as this is DH and DD's Favorite ride at DHS!
After they got off we headed on over to The American Idol Experience and waited to make sure that we got into LOU's show.
The line was getting really long really quick. While we were waiting the guy that is like the Ryan Seacrest of the show came out to get some feedback for Lou R the one canidate in the show how funny is that since we were there to see him!? So he had us all chanting Lou's name and saying we love you Lou ! It was pretty fun! Then he interviewed this lil girl Katie and she said I love you Lou your my American Idol or something to that effect! It was soo cute! It was great how they get you all geared up and into the show before it's even started. I must say this show was really good! Here are some pics I took of AIE

They had buttons on the seat arm and you got to vote for who you wanted to win this was a really cool show if you get a chance you have to check it out!
OK so Lou was up against 2 girls! The one girl I thought was good but she had the attitude that she had it in the bag that was the girl in pink she hit a few bad notes though it was a diana ross song I believe.
The other girl she was only 14 in the blue color she sang rascal flatts
Life is a Highway she was just ok. Of course we picked Lou to win he was awesome! So we left there and headed on over to the Indian Jones stunt spectacular show I'll continue that in the next post....
