Do you think they are updating the machines to try out the new fastpass techniques I keep reading about (extras for other rides, special all-day fps, etc.)? Maybe they are getting ready for the new stuff starting in October.

Fastpasses weren't available for any of the rides at AK when we went for EMH last week...with so few rides available at AK it made for some really long waits.

Since we avoided EMH after that, I just assumed fastpasses were never available during EMH.

Don't really care about Stitch...but Jungle Cruise????!!! The lines are pretty monstrous, even when I go in off-season.

I've never gone in August, so maybe it's different then.

Whether any given attraction will have FP during EMH totally depends on the ride managers for that EMH.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

IF the FP machines are operating during PM EMH, they "start again" at the beginning of the EMH.

Well whoever the managers were for emh at the AK need to have their heads examined. It was wall to wall people, with hour long waits on rides. If crowds like that don't warrant fastpasses, I don't know what would.

Grrrrr. We always pick up a FP for Jungle Cruise on the way to Splash Mountain. It works out so perfectly. Also use the PhilharMagic FP.

Thanks for the heads up, safetymom, and a question. Is this just for obtaining fastpasses, or will it apply to fastpass returns, too? I know they won't give any out for after park closing, but if I got a fastpass for 8:30 (on a 9:00 close night), would I be able to use it at 9:30, during EMH, or would the fastpass return line be closed, too? Anyone know?
