Good morning all!

It's kind of a dreary drippy morning at the lake today.

Yesterday was wonderful and sunny.... And glorious, so much so, that the last picture I took yesterday was the one of my coffee.... The pictures I am sharing today are from the day before. Lol

I worked out right away yesterday morning, then I went for a walk... I walk around the lake to the end of our road and back, which is 3 miles. I love walking here vs. home because it is flat here... At home the hills are murderous, and I can only do 3 laps around town before I am sick of it, which is under a mile.

Then we had a lake lunch of sandwiches, chips, dip, frog eye salad and fruit salad.

Afterwards, I threw on my suit and sat on the front deck to read my book... It was wonderful.

Mm loves to have his dummy thrown, we store it in a high tree branch, so whenever he wants to play (which is often), he will sit under the tree and look longingly at his dummy. Who says animals can't communicate? Mm also loves to swim... He will often run into the lake and do laps around the dock, just for the fun of it.

Again, photos won't rotate... Wish they'd put that option into the app.

Before dinner last night, we took the girls out tubing, we like to use the wet bikes to pull them, because the wake from the wet bikes is much smaller than that of the boat. Then it's also easier if one of them wants a break, they can just climb on the back of the wet bike rather than trying to climb into the boat, which is rather difficult.

We had a dinner of brats (or in my case, turkey brats), chips and beans. Then we built a fire in the put and made snores. Num.

And that finishes another relaxing day at the lake.

I can't believe we are at 48 days... I have so much trip stuff swirling in my head. I feel like it is really crunch time for me.

Good morning everyone!

It is a beautiful, but breezy morning on the lake.

We had another wonderful day yesterday...

I went worked out and went for my walk.

We had a nice lunch of typical lake food. The frog eye salad is totally gone, and the fruit salad is right on it's heels. I will probably end up making my curry salad sometime this morning.

Both Josh and I took a gloriously long nap yesterday afternoon... His in the hammock, mine in our bed. The girls woke us at 4pm, worried that we'd sleep through the night. Lol Legitimate fear.

We decided to have hot dogs for dinner, then Josh tried to get them up on skis. V went first... She was very close to getting up, but I don't have a photo of it.

Then Alli tried...

She did not have much success either... They were so disappointed because, as they say, everyone out here makes it look so easy. Which is true. But I am proud of them.

They decided to play in the lake instead.

And I took a pretty cool photo with my phone...

No big plans for today...

That cloud photo is beautiful! And I love the Dumbo photo. I hated that I had to sit on the outside of the ride when we took our Granddaughter last year. You really couldn't see much of her...but you could see way too much of me! Glad you're having lots of fun and relaxation. You all deserve it! And don't worry about answering individual quotes...you're on vacation!!

Great pictures. Water skiing is the only kind of skiing C wants to try.

Love the dumbo picture. I kind of miss dumbo beingfront and center in Fantasyland even though I love the new set up.

Great pictures! Looks like you are having lots of relaxing fun. I tried water skiing once when I was a teenager and never was able to get up on the skis. Something about me pulling back instead of lifting up . I also tried snow sking once and nearly killed myself - or at least I was very lucky I didn't break my leg -- but that's a story for another time.

I miss going to the lake with my brother and his family & watching everyone waterski. I tried a couple of times, but...ah... well it took alot out of me. haha
Then there were always those that forget to let go of the rope when they fell. Nothing like face skiing.
Your pictures are so nice.
btw, the cinderella retro picture.... they could all be cinderella! beautiful!

Looks like you are having a fun, relaxing time at the lake! Love that Dumbo picture. Its really cool with the castle in the background!

I did water ski a few times, from what I remember, sitting on your bottom in the water, skis were sticking out of the water and trying to sit (squat) during takeoff. Hope they get the hang of it, it really is fun!

Loving all the lake pics you are posting! You should see me trying to view the sideways ones. It is uncomfortable for me to turn my head to the side (neck problems) so instead I turn my whole laptop sideways....it's a riot!

I love water skiing....SO much fun! Once you learn the trick to getting up on the skis it's smooth sailing!

Good morning everyone! Happy 4th of July!!!!!!

It is a beautiful morning here on the lake, just "breezy" enough to keep the bugs down.

Yesterday was perhaps my laziest day yet. Lol I am not sure how many more lazy days I can take?

However, today will he fun... 4th of July is always a huge event for us, since Joshs birthday is tomorrow.

We are planning to have a few of our lake neighbors over for a fish/pheasant fry. I am sure we will be doing some swimming/boating/wet biking.

Then as the sun is going down, we take the boat out to the middle of the lake to.watch everyone else waste their $$ on fireworks. Yes, I know, I am a tightwad even on the 4th of July. I did let josh but fireworks one year, I think we spent $100... It was the biggest disappointment and waste of $$ ever for 15 min of non-entertainment. Then I said no more, and we watch everyone else - who can actually afford to spend the $$ on the good stuff.

Josh and his dad have been hard at work on the back deck and stairs all week... I really wish he wouldn't have spent sooo much time working this week, so i've forced him to take today and tomorrow off. I'll be so mad if he doesn't... Seeing as he forced me to take the whole week off. However the back deck is looking very nice.

rogue and I are camping. he his honestly the best dog ever! Do quiet and calm.
Barks a little at strangers but for a 5 month o,d puppy, he is pretty awesome.

Can't wait to see the bag. Wow zeros 14 hours! Labour of love!

Totally agree. We live up on a hill, so we can see all around. I know a few neighbors are doing fireworks tonight and tomorrow, so we will just sit out on our deck and watch
