~Aug 2013~ Sew what~We've gotta find a way back-Part II- TR link posted - 8/31

Thank you very much for explaining. If you don't mind a couple more questions... So, I get that you get the CD with both packages & the rides/character photos, but can you order the prints from the traditional photopass website at no charge, or do you take the CD to a photo place like CVS or something & get them there? My printer isn't very good for photos, but I imagine with the CD I could print them myself if I so choose, ist that correct? Sorry for the silly questions, but this has always confused me a bit. Then again, I just figured out texting not too long ago.

You do get the prints from the ADRs but no other prints.

You do get copy rights so you can go to CVS or Target or upload to Shutterfly or print at home.

(my DH doesn't text.;))

Sorry all... No time for replies this morning... :(

It's Victoria's 8th grade graduation - and they insist on doing it at 8am...

Then it's my bi-weekly shopping trip, which I have had NO time to prepare for, so I am pretty sure it will be a bust.

And we have a few appointments today...

Tomorrow is back to sewing!

I hope all of you have a marvelous day... And Tess - great news about Kat!!!

D~

Since I can't do replies this morning - I will leave you all with my next calendar page. :thumbsup2

Congrats to V! Today is my grandson's graduation from high school. The ceremony is originally scheduled to be outdoors in the football "stadium", however it is raining and supposed to rain all day - thanks to TS Andrea! which means the ceremony will be moved to the auditorium - where only the parents will be allowed to view the ceremony. Everyone else will be relegated to either the gym or the cafeteria to watch it on tv. :headache: Not sure what we are going to do, since there are 5 grandparents and various aunts and uncles who were planning to come.

I was fortunate enough when my kids graduated that each of their ceremonies were held outdoors. Although it drizzeled when my younger son graduated...

We're hoping to go see Kat tomorrow, but will depend on how many other family members are planning to go. Mike (her dad) asked that only family visit this weekend, since it will be so overwhelming for her (and because my brother is here and we all want to see him too.)

Sooo glad to hear Kat is doing so well and moving to a regular room. I do hope you get to see her as well as your brother this weekend!

D~ what a packed day! I hope you do well on your shopping. You've had to cram so much in lately, give yourself a break if you don't do as well this time. It happens. You'll do twice a well next time.

Congrats to V on her graduation! Next year will be a whole new world for her!

I guess no news is good news as far as Chaira is concerned? Hope so anyway. Would love to hear how she's doing. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Glad you girls had so much fun at your dismeet and your surprise birthday party. That V is a smarty and great at keeping secrets (Luke your AG at Christmas). Congratulations to her on the graduation from middle school.

Your plans are changing so much....but it seems you finally figured it all out. I am sure it will be great in any case. The PP+ will be nice for you since it includes the pictures from Tusker House. The prints at CRT are part of your meal so you don't need to have the plus to get them.

We are in Florida wrapping up our universal trip. We had a good time but a little wet with TS Andrea. It is hard to go to Florida and not be at Disney but we did go to DTD Disney on our first night for Earl of Sandwich and goofy's candy co. My phone got messed up and I lost all my contacts and settings so I have been out of the loop.

Prayers for Kat, Chiara and the others in need.

Congrats V!!! And Mom and Dad for being there for her to make sure she reached this point!

I know I'm horribly behind, but I've been trying to catch up the past couple of days as best I can!

The Dismeet looked like a fabulous girls trip and capping it off with a surprise party is pretty awesome!

Prayers going out for Chiara and Kat and everyone else who may need them!

Congrats to V, and Mom and Dad of course, on her 8th grade graduation! High school! Yikes! I'm only a year away from that with my oldest and I think I might cry just thinking about it! How do you all do it?

Really looking forward to the big auction! Can't wait to see what's in store!

:grouphug: Hugs to everyone!

HAPPY HAPPY GRADUATION!!!!!!!

GIVE HUGE HUGS FROM ME

She said thanks! :)

Oh no! I sure hope that it didn't rain, and you were all able to watch the ceremony.

I was fortunate enough when my kids graduated that each of their ceremonies were held outdoors. Although it drizzeled when my younger son graduated...

They usually do it at our football field, but they never make the decision until the day of. Otherwise - it's indoors here too.

We're hoping to go see Kat tomorrow, but will depend on how many other family members are planning to go. Mike (her dad) asked that only family visit this weekend, since it will be so overwhelming for her (and because my brother is here and we all want to see him too.)

I didn't do the greatest... I will tell you all below.

Congrats to V on her graduation! Next year will be a whole new world for her!

I know - she is a bit nervous about it - but she has come so far this year, so I think she is ready - I hope so anyways.

I guess no news is good news as far as Chaira is concerned? Hope so anyway. Would love to hear how she's doing. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I will do a small update below.

Thank you! That helps. I like the way your DH thinks.

Thanks! She says thanks too.

[Blizzard Beach all day? Have you ever done that before. We made it about 5 hours once at Typhoon Lagoon. But, I was about done after 4.

I don't think it will be an "all day" type thing. It was originally our day off - so I'd really like to finish up with it early, and just hang out at the resort and pool, if possible. We will need that time to relax and propell us into our last 2 park days - which are very full ones.

[Yay for Kat progressing. Hope you are able to see her & your brother & you are filled with peace & love.

Well said.

Hi Star! It's great that you are thinking of extra ways to make $$ for your trip... I think it's so important to get creative with your budget.

you can get lost in the shuffle around here BUT I promise you you will never find a better more tight knit loving group of people anywhere !! Follow this thread and some of our others and you will laugh cry and shake your head alot so WELCOME to the Dis and better put your seatbelt on !!

Hi LIz!!! You are right - V is very sneaky... LOL

You seriously need to go check out Mo's TR on our MOA trip - it's hilarious! It' starts here:

I don't think they are changing that much? I just keep waffling back and forth over a few days. :rolleyes1 I agree - I am going to do the best I can to get PP+, because I know it will be very beneficial to us.

YAY!!! I knew the Universal trip was close - I didn't realize you were there though. Cool - I bet it was awesome! Bummer about TS Andrea though... :headache: But awesome that you got to go to DTD. Hopefully you can get your phone figured out when you get back home.

Congrats V!!! And Mom and Dad for being there for her to make sure she reached this point!

Thanks Sandra... I will pass along your message once V wakes.

I know I'm horribly behind, but I've been trying to catch up the past couple of days as best I can!

No worries at all. It's nice to see you and thanks for stopping by.

It was awesome - you need to go read Mo's TR about it, it's soooo funny!

It is crazy - it's going too fast now... It's like - you know it's almost over - so time keeps speeding faster and faster as the days go on, and you try as hard as you can to hold on as tightly as you can... :grouphug:

Really looking forward to the big auction! Can't wait to see what's in store!

Thanks - me too!

Hugs to everyone!

Thanks! Right back at ya!

Chiara update: I am sorry I didn't update on Chiara yesterday - as of posting in the morning, I had no new information. I still don't have much information for you all, but she did text me a picture of her beautiful baby yesterday... I don't want to give up any details (I'd like to leave that to her to tell) - but the little darling is just precious!

**********************************************************

First - I have to post a picture of V - Thursday was her class trip to Valley Fair - and every year, she has a picture taken with one of the Snoopys... Here is this year's:

Attachment3.jpg

Yesterday was just a strange day...

V graduated 8th grade... It's a big deal here - ceremony and all.

Afterwards we went to Caribou for some delicious goodness... (love this picture of her...)

20130607_101749.jpg

Then off to Jimmy Johns with BFF for lunch... There's a short story here: It has been her mission for the last several months to try a new sandwich - every time we go, she forgets. So this time, she said, right before we walked into the store... "Mom, this time I'm gonna remember..." So, she walked up to the counter and said "You decide... I don't like tomatoes or cucumbers." LOL We made her sit next to the menu and try to guess the sandwich... It was so funny because the JJs guys were totally playing along... She guessed it right - it was a #10 HUNTER'S CLUB®
A full 1/4 pound of fresh sliced medium rare roast beef, provolone, lettuce, tomato, & mayo. - minus the tomato)... And she liked it... Of course - it was one of the most expensive sandwiches on the menu. What would have been super funny is if they would have actually given her the sandwich she always orders...

20130607_115452.jpg

Then it was time to grocery shop... This DOES relate to my Disney planning - because, as of this week - any of the $$ saved is going into our Disney fund... I am starting to get a little paranoid that I won't make our budget (not the pay off date - but all the stuff after that)...

So, you'll love Target... I had almost nothing on my list this week. So, I purchased 2 things of coffee, 6 boxes of Mac n' Cheese, 1 container of Parmesan cheese and 1 box of quart freezer zip-loc baggies. LOL That was all we "neeed" this week. It's a shame I didn't have any coupons for any of these things, but my total was ~$20.

Then, we went grocery shopping quick... Spent a bit more here - but we needed some produce... My toal starting was $83, after coupons - it was $59 and change... Not a huge savings, but that left me with almost $100 to put into our Disney budget. It won't officially go in there until after the 2 weeks is up - just in case I need a few things before then. And I have a decent stock of most things we use often, so things I would normally buy (cheese, creamer...) I didn't have to get.

Then Josh's uncle flew in yesterday, so he came to our house for dinner and spent the night... It's been so nice to have him here - MM thinks he is his new bff... :rolleyes1

Today is a sewing day for me, since this week has been kind of weird with me messing up my Target schedule, and taking all day yesterday off... I will be finishing up my custom order this morning, and then moving on to the applique of my last BIG auction bag. I hope to get all those things done today. Tomorrow, I hope to work on the BIG auction wallet that coordinates with this bag, and hopefully cut out a few more GAC wallets... Ideally - I'd like to have 2 "boy" and 2 "Girl" GACs. I would also like to do a few camera straps - those will be very last though, and I am not sure about them?

Oh - and I was able to get all of my auction details written up the other day too... That was a HUGE relief for me... I still have the last 2 bags to write up, and anything else I have yet to do... But to get a good chunk of it done was really wonderful! I also have my ending schedule figured out, and all of the items will end in 5 minute intervals.

I hope you all have an amazing day today... Prayers going out to all in need (Kat... Chiara... Ruthie... Aunt Mary... and anyone else).

D~

Awesome pictures as always ! That sandwich sounds like it would def be a favorite of mine BUT with the tomatoes :thumbsup2

Thank you for all the continued prayers & I send them back to all in need of them Give Chiara much love when you have contact w/her again

Which day to do you want to meet for ice cream? And where? Let me know, so I can get you down in my planner.

any day you have time would work for me IF we can avoid a Mon (not counting BB day) or a Tues that would be better but really up to the 3 of you and I will make it work :thumbsup2 thought you wanted to Ghiaridellis DTD but if somewhere else...Beaches & Cream...whatever..your choice I'd be happy with a Mickey Bar sitting on a curb with you ladies

Sooo... Remember that bag I did back in April, and I couldn't show it, because that person wouldn't be seeing it until June? And she wanted to be surprised??

Well, she was able to meet her bag in person yesterday, which means I get to share it with you today...

Despite the simplicity of this bag, it was very difficult to streamline and get exactly what I was thinking to translate into the bag itself... I would have to say that this was in my "top 5" of most difficult bags ever. I wound up consulting several people on this bag - including my BFF - who was a tremendous help.

In the end - even though this was a bag that SCARED me a lot... (remember that?) - it still turned out great!

I searched high and low for this interior fabric - I finally found it 2 weeks before I had to start the bag, nothing like cutting it close! Phew!

And - just to keep this post about planning my trip (even though my bags are Disney inspired, and they are totally centered around my trip)... I am erring on the side of caution... Here's my next calendar page. :thumbsup2
