I gave you the link to rate codes back in this thread:

Why in the world do you feel a need to start 3 threads in one day on the same subject? [ETA: Make that 4 posts. I just saw another one] People really won't answer your question any faster.
Here's my take on it, as I am in the same boat you are. I am using the AU02 code and I arrive that day after 12/16. Do not cancel your Thrifty reservation. Do not worry about the
travel agent code. Make a back-up reservation somewhere and try to keep calm. Thrifty is still allowing reservations on their website for your dates (12/18 - 12/31) using the AU02 code, so the code is not blacked out after 12/16. I am not going to worry unless Thrifty emails me and tells me that
my specific reservation is no longer valid.
To make a back-up reservation, use the codes from Mousesavers. Here's the link again:
http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html . I just plugged in your dates in National's web site using the AMEX contract ID (5125601) and got about $350 USD for a compact car, taxes included.

The reason why you get the same rate with and without the code is because the length of your rental is
only 4 days. The code is good for rentals of 5-10 days and it is not being applied to your rental. Try the Wall*Mart code over at the Mousesavers link I provided earlier. Or ... you might do better renting from National and using the AMEX code. Again, check over at Mousesavers for more information.
