Attractions that are different at Night

I have heard that Astro Orbiter is totally different at night. I only rode it once in the daytime and my experience was a nice ride but not worth the wait. I could see that being that high up at night and being able to see the MK lights would be special.

Back before FP+, my family and I always made sure we had late night fast passes for Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Jungle Cruise. They are just different experiences in the dark. I like doing Peoplemover at night, but I don't see it as a completely different experience like I do the other two. It's still great, though.

People are also right about Tower of Terror. It's different walking through the outdoor queue, as well as having the doors open and looking out over Hollywood Studios all in lights.

One thing to note about Living with the Land: it usually closes at 7:00, so it's not open the last 2 hours that the park is open. Wanted you to be able to plan accordingly.

I've also heard Jungle Cruise...Sept. will be my 11th trip to WDW and I have never done this attraction at night...we'll be doing it when we go to MNSSHP! I'm excited for it!

My other favorites at night are Splash Mountain, Test Track, Tower of Terror and of course the PeopleMover!!!!

I think half of the reason the Jungle Cruise is better at night...better CM's.
I think the best Jungle Cruise CM's choose the prime evening time slots (instead of working in the sun)

Big Thunder and Splash are awesome at night. The view from Astro Orbiter is pretty special with all the lights on, and riding the Tower of Terror when it's dark really adds to the atmosphere. I've never done Haunted Mansion at night but I want to.

I've heard that this is the reason as well. The Jungle Cruise is only a good time when you have a good Skipper. Otherwise, it always seems like a bit of a waste of time, especially if the line is long.

I agree with TOT- it is really cool to see the park lit up at night when the doors open. Plus I believe there are more drops added to the randomized sequence at night. Last year we had about 8 drops at night but only 4 during the day!

I also agree with BTMRR and Splash- I love to watch Wishes from either one of these rides! Or just see the castle lit up from them...

We are also big fans of BTM at night! :thumbsup2
I personally love the TTA at night and DH likes Pirates at night for some reason (another dark ride)

If you can manage to snag a night at AK, Everest is AWESOME at night!!! BEST ride at WDW by far! :goodvibes It's hard to get because of their park hours, but if you're there when AK is open at night - don't miss it!

Are you able to do Swiss Family Treehouse at nigth or does it close down at dusk?

my favorites are Dumbo, Thunder Mountain and Tower of Terror! all of them are completely new experiences at night, especially if you time it right and get to ride during the fireworks - it's super awesome!

The first ride I thought of was BTMRR, it is a completely different experience for me. Don't laugh, but Haunted Mansion is for me also. Yes, I know it is indoors. But walking up to the ride and through the entrance area sets the stage for me in a completely differnet manner.

I echo this entire post. I will also add TTA. At Epcot - TT.
As many times as I have been to WDW I have never ridden JC at night, but am definitely planning to this year. The only reason I won't do Splash at night is because there's no sunshine to dry my wet little body.
