Hello all you out there who visit DL often or at least recently...My family and I have been going to DL every 6 month and finally next June will be making our way to Florida.
That being said how much should I schedule in for MK?
I know there are rides DL doesnt have but I am not sure if we really need to spead 2 days there.?!

We are really looking forward to seeing the other parks! Any words of advice would help my planning.pirate: princess: :wizard:

Well, who's in your family and what are their ages? How long is your stay at WDW going to be? Are you visiting any non-disney parks?:earsboy:

Personally, one day or part of one day is enough for us. As DL AP holders, we tend to only do what we don't have here on the west coast. We love Buzz, Alladin, Country Bears, COP, the castle and we're looking forward to seeing Mickey's Philharmagic in April. We also enjoy both parades and will try to catch the fireworks. One of our strategies is to pop over to the MK after AK closes just to catch the parade and fireworks. Epcot is our favorite park in FL and we try to spend most of our time there.

Thanks Party Teacher.

LindaR,
Husband and myself & twin 6 year old boys. We are staying 8 days and no other parks but Disney!!

June will be the summer period for the parks so it will be a little busy. But you should be able to do MK in a day, save an evening for a return to hit some of the fave rides. Make use of the FP.
AK-half a day, Studios-one day, EC-day & half

You are going to really enjoy WDW and will be shocked at the size as a whole. That was always the comment I got form DL vets. So much to do but you will have a great time.

One tip - definately book the Family Magic Tour at MK. Your twins will love it. It is a two hour tour whereby you go around MK looking for Captain Hook's special golden hook. Peter Pan has stolen it, and captain Hook wants it back. Peter provides the clues and it is your job to find it and get it back. You hop, skip, jump, crawl and generally have a ball throughout the tour.
Check out www.wdwig.com for more reviews.
My kids (5 & 8) and cousins (6&9) loved it. They got to spend about 40 minutes with Peter Pan at the end of the tour.
So, IMHO you will need parts of two days. I wouldn't do the FMT on your first day to MK - take that and explore and ride. Do the FMT on the morning (it's only offered from 10am - 12ish daily) of the second visit. My advise would be do the tour, have lunch (perhaps a character meal - CP? - book after 12:45pm to give you enough time) then decide whether to stay, or go back to the hotel. You can always come back later for the fireworks.

Just want to add another comment........
Plan to spend almost a whole day (or two mornings) at AK. My kids (5 & 8) love AK! It is definately their favorite behind MK.
Must do's - It's Tough to be a bug, Kilimanjaro Safairs, Kali river Rapids, Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, Primeval Whirl (if DS's are tall enough and like rides), Dinosaur (might be a little scary for them, but do a baby swap, so you and DH can ride....it's really cool!) and The Boneyard. Other attractions are fun as well, but if you want to take in the parade, you'll need the whole day.
Because you are going in June (we were there in June two years ago) it will be hot, so perhaps schedule two mornings to cover AK.
Hope this helps.

One full day should be enough for MK.. make sure to try some rides that exist at DL and MK because there are differences between the two versions. I think you should spend a whole day at AK. Now, since I've been there so many times i go for a few rides and I'm out by 11 but newbies should see all the shows and walk around the animal exibits, it's such a goregous park and you want to take it all in. Epcot probably deserves two days, especially if you want to spend time walking around world showcase and seeing everything. One day would be perfect for MGM. Enjoy your trip! DW is quite different from DL and I'm sure you'll love it!
