Awesome! I hoped they'd be back. They're way better than off kilter.

He's glad you like them!

Awesome news! All Off Kilter had was tradition, relevance, charisma and great music. They didn't have dumb, unfunny jokes, bland actors, a silly theme, and the sound of a chainsaw permeating the park making them so easy to find from anywhere.

Long live the oh-so-Disney chainsaw show!

Perhaps they improve with some NYE drinking...:drinking1

Anyways, I don't know which will be louder: the combined NYE fireworks of Epcot and DHS or the lumberjack show!

This is funny, how we're off-kilter actually "relevant" and to what exactly? Can't wait to hear this one, amazing that a cover band could be called that. If they are really so relevant and great, when and where is their next gig?

'Off Kilters' were always way off kilter to us - Lumberjacks belong at Dollywood or Silver Dollar City. Always wished for ear plugs just to pass through that area! Come on Disney, can't you do better than that???? :confused3

They're not actors, that's part of the issue apparently. They are also not Disney.

Hmmm. Minority voice here. I'm kind of looking forward to it.

Ugh...was hoping they were permanently gone. Saw them last month and it was horrid. Miss Off Kilter a lot, one of my favorite things at Epcot.

As a child who grew up in a big city (NY), I always enjoyed trips to a nearby Country Fair and enjoyed some of the wholesome Americana like looking at prized cows, pie eating contests, and gamesmanship of log rolling and speed sawing.

I can see the enjoyment of lumberjacks being as much fun as, let's say, a car stunt show or birds flying around. For the record, cars don't do it for me, but I love birds and rarely miss Flights of Wonder (with a $1 always at the ready).

Lumberjacks can appeal to the folks who wear Carhartt clothing, use John Deere products, and drive a pick-up truck. Not everyone enjoys the Beetles, some people enjoy Tim McGraw. Can ya' tell, I live in farm country now.

And I'm OK with the diversity away from music.

Do I think the show is likely to be boring for my wife & child - Yes. But there are plenty of kids in her classroom (some of whom will never go to Disney) who might enjoy knowing a lumberjack show was going on at Disney.

But I am surprised this is back after being on hiatus.

They've been contracted for a year. Outside of anything that will cause Disney to either break the contract by buying them out or fire them (based on their own breach of contract I'd guess) they should be at Epcot until next October. I get that a lot of guests don't like their show (I don't think it belongs and that stage is noplace to do a lumberjack show) but a lot of the complainers might have gone after anything that replaced Off Kilter and wasn't another band, some are just offended by the noise (which isn't going to be a reason for Disney to break their contract), and unless they either hurt somebody or do something offensive that would get them fired, they will probably stay until their contracted period ends.

you're gonna have to speak up, we're passing canada, we can't hear you

I don't know. They used to do a show like this at Valley Fair in Minnesota, while you waited for their log flume attraction. It was a lot of fun.

I'm supposed to reserve my opinion on FP+ and everything else new until I visit, so I have to do the same with this.

Nice try, but not quite. City folk are funny. :lmao:
