Attn.: Canadian Lumberjack Fans

This is funny, how we're off-kilter actually "relevant" and to what exactly? Can't wait to hear this one, amazing that a cover band could be called that. If they are really so relevant and great, when and where is their next gig?

I have not seen this mystical lumberjack show and I wasn't particularly concerned when Off Kilter got the axe. (See what I did there? :goodvibes) However, being Canadian, I can say that Off Kilter certainly represented a very big and important part of Canadian culture (even if they weren't really Canadian). Listening to them felt like listening to a local band here at home. So I do think they captured a Canadian essence.

Now, we do have lumberjacks too, I suppose but that's a pretty small part of our culture and what's being described sounds more like redneck Americana than what I e know of lumberjacks in Canada.

I liked Off Kilter....Not just because of the music, but also for the "life" it brought to the area.

Even if i didn't stay for the show, it was fun to hear the music as we strolled by, seeing some dancing, especially the younger ones. You saw people smiling and having a good time, even if they were just walking by.

I haven't been to this lumberjack thing yet, but i can't seem to imagine the same enthusiasm that i saw with Off Kilter. :confused3

As a child who grew up in a big city (NY), I always enjoyed trips to a nearby Country Fair and enjoyed some of the wholesome Americana like looking at prized cows, pie eating contests, and gamesmanship of log rolling and speed sawing.

I can see the enjoyment of lumberjacks being as much fun as, let's say, a car stunt show or birds flying around. For the record, cars don't do it for me, but I love birds and rarely miss Flights of Wonder (with a $1 always at the ready).

Lumberjacks can appeal to the folks who wear Carhartt clothing, use John Deere products, and drive a pick-up truck.
Not everyone enjoys the Beetles, some people enjoy Tim McGraw. Can ya' tell, I live in farm country now.

And I'm OK with the diversity away from music.

Do I think the show is likely to be boring for my wife & child - Yes. But there are plenty of kids in her classroom (some of whom will never go to Disney) who might enjoy knowing a lumberjack show was going on at Disney.

But I am surprised this is back after being on hiatus.

I wear Carhatt's (wore my full body suit today, and own a bib and jacket as well), have a few John Deere items, a 4-wheeler and an actual tractor (though it's a Kubota), and drive an F-250....we actually own/run a working farm. I suppose that qualifies me to say that despite whatever bizarre stereotype your going for here, even I don't like the lumberjack show.
