I know there was a thread that mentioned this before, but I can't seem to find it: What are you all doing with the extra base MYW tickets that you had to purchase? I'm going to have two and have no idea what to do with them! Can they be applied to the renewal of my AP's? Can they be given away? Anyone know for sure?? Please help!! :confused3

Tucking it away, not using it and apply it towards next years AP or MYW upgrade, whichever is best.

Did you have to add the no experiation option to the ticket for that or will they honor it anyway??

No, from what I understand and was told by the CM, the ticket doesn't expire until 14 from first use. The key here is first use. As long as you don't use the ticket, it doesn't expire and therefore do not need the no-expiration option, plus you can't add a no-expiration to a 1-day MYW ticket.

I thought all base tickets expired 14 days from first use, or on first day of use for a one day. So unless you swipe it in a turnsile at a park entrence, it has not been used. Disney will not sell non-expiration with a one day, because it is not needed. And finally only one ticket may be applied per new ticket upgrade.

All I have learn on the DIS is coming back to me, now when is the exam, lol.

Teach me to go advanced next time, oogie boogie beat me to it!

Ahh thanks!!! That makes sense...

my two cents ... CM told me same thing regarding "first use"
dont swipe 'em and they're good forever

We're keeping the 1 day tickets and using them when we get AP's again. We're set to renew in Jan but won't be getting back till at least April. Renewing for us is a waste of money in this instance.

Just spoke to a CM from CRO who said that although the 1-day tickets never expire, they can not be applied to the renewal of an AP. I wish these CM's would get on the same page :sad2:

(I was so mad I called back  ) Asked to speak to a supervisor, and Jordan has officially said that we CAN use the MYW applied to the renewal but it must be done AT guest relations at the park and not over the phone... (YAY! Another quick trip in January!! heh heh heh :p ).

So you can upgrade MYW tickets only at guest relations at the park? Isn't guest relations inside the park? I ask because I was planning on buying a 1 day MYW ticket and then upgrading to an PAP when we got there. But if I use the ticket to get in, I wouldn't be able to upgrade? TIA

I know at MK you can do it at the ticket window, that's where I did mine the last 2 times.

Guest Relations is available inside AND outside the parks.

I went to Animal Kingdom and got very frustrated and irate with a cast member at a ticket window who refused to help me. She kept pointing me "over there". I said I can't get in!!!!

But Guest Relations is available outside of the parks as well! :)

I apologized when I realized what an idiot I'd been! :)

I was told by a CM that we should request a 1-day park admission certificate at the resort check-in so it wasn't put on our cardkey.

Tinkerbell, thanks for asking about this. I was planning to start a thread about it in the next couple of days. I am in the same boat, I was not sure what I could do with my 1 day passes.

I also had someone in my party that will need to upgrade their one day pass when we get to the park. I guess we will be heading to MGM guest relations when we get there. I had thought that I read somewhere that we could do it at the hotel, guess not.

That is very interesting. Does anyone else know if this is possible/the best way to go? Has anyone done this? I was a little worried about the plastic room key as opposed to the paper ticket.... :confused3
