Attn: All HOMELESS Disers

I believe that they are basically identical ships as to the placement of rooms etc.

The main differences are in the decorating of the common rooms. For example on the Wonder they have WaveBands, Barrel of Laughs and Cadillac Lounge in the night club area while on the Magic it is Rockin'D Bar, Sessions and I think Diversions.

The Magic was in dry dock this year and they have done some upgrades. Moved the teen club to a different spot, put in an adult coffee bar etc. and some other upgrades.

It will be neat just to be on the Magic, it is like going on the Wonder but different .... if you know what I mean. You will be able to find your way around easily but it will have a different look and feel to it.

We love to cruise, except my husband always says, They can just leave the ship tied up to the dock, he doesn't really care if the ship even moves
:p

You will have to try cruising when you get the chance.

Be warned though....once you start...you may find yourself hooked!!!!!!!

We are::yes::

That's what I've heard. I'm already hooked on travelling as is, I don't know if I can add cruising to it.

Robin -- How exciting to have a cruise booked! DH and I are going on our 2nd cruise this summer. You're right....it is addictive! Haven't tried the Disney cruises yet, but they're definitely on the list! What are some of the cruises you've been on?

castlegazer -- I became a PT travel agent just a few months ago. My aunt owns a travel agency and I became an outside sales agent with her company. She's pretty much training me as I go, although I am taking some of the individual vacation company's training programs. I've started with the individual cruise lines, but am going to get to take the Disney College of Knowledge program in the next few weeks. I'm VERY excited about that! This is what I LOVE to do. I actually wanted to be a TA when I got out of college, but the job market took me elsewhere. I'm hoping to get enough experience under my belt that I can do this full time in a few years.

Hope everyone has a great night...and a fantastic day tomorrow. Remember, we're getting closer and closer to Friday! Hurray!

We went on the Carnival - Fantasy quite a few years ago. It went to Nassau I believe.
We went on the RCCL - Monarch last year. It went to Key West and Cozumel.
This will be our 6th Disney Cruise coming up. We have only been on 3 or 4 day cruises so we have always gone to Nassau and Castaway Cay.
We find the service and food to be best on the Disney Cruises. We enjoyed the RCCL cruise also but the quality is definitely not the same.

Good morning everyone!!! Another crazy night in the casinos my friends?? Hey Ericka....didn't you see me waving to you from the pool?? I was hoping somebody would see me. Sat there all day, waiting for the cameras to set up. Ah well. Another missed opputunity.
But maybe it's time to take a cruise. You guys are giving me some ideas. Will have to look into that.

See you at the slots later on. Off to get dd ready for school. Have a great day all.

I'm like Dan, I'll drop in once in awhile, but don't expect me to "catch up"! It's why I have dropped visiting most "clique" threads.

Dropping in is just fine I would think. Can we have special dispensation from someone so that we can be called something other than a 'clique'? That name just conjurs up such yucky memories. And I really don't want to be 'exclusive'. I personnally really like droppers-in!!!!

Drop ins are ok by me, If your looking for a place to come in and sit by the pool, tell a joke, grab a sandwich and beer and go, I'm good with that::yes:: .

I think the "clique" comes from so many feeling like they have to do "catch ups" and leaving out the occational poster. We used to do a lot of early morning shenanigans on the riddle, but when the "angel" thread came along, folks got so involved, the fun got lost a bit. It's still fun, but different. Maybe a nice morning joshing place would be fun!

Here is a good one for this morning!
Doesn't it seem that more and more physicians are running their practices like an assembly line?

Here's what happened to Buford:

Buford walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Buford said, Shingles. She wrote down his name, address, and medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aid came out and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, Shingles. She wrote down his height, weight, and complete medical history and told Buford to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, Shingles. So she gave Buford a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, told Buford to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, Shingles.

The doctor asked, Where?

Buford said, 'Outside on the truck. Where do you want them?

Diane, that's so funny. :rotfl: :rotfl: .

And in my opionion, quite like some of the medical professionals we have in my area.

Having recently had to deal with lots of doctors, it was especially funny to me!:jester:

That's funny, Diane! Gave me an early morning laugh with my coffee.

Robin, that's great about your cruise.

Morning, everyone. We still have snow in NY so I think I'll take my book and go outside of our Vegas house and read in the sun by our pool for an hour. Anyone is welcome to join. Maybe I'll order a picnic for lunch, too!

sun, pool, book and lunch........sounds wonderful to me

I can only speak for myself but......
As an original poster on the Angel thread.....I do not like it when the regular threads are referred to as 'cliquey'. I think that word gives a negative impression. Cliquey implies that they are snooty & exclusionary......in my experience none of these regular threads are those things!
They are just people enjoying chatting with each other & no one is excluded. I am sorry if people feel that they are being excluded but in reality nothing could be further from the truth.....everyone is not only welcomed but encouraged to join any & all of the threads!
Please stop by & say 'Hi'....stay & post regularly if you want to.....or stop in occasionally if that's more along the lines of what you would be comfortable with. We would love to chat with you!

Morning all. Vey funny Diane:laughing: And Robin, how nice for you. Six Disney Cruises, wow..I guess you really like them. I'm working my way up to the DCL. We've done Carnival,NCL, and RCCL. We are actually looking at a Celebrity cruise for nex spring.

We are expecting 6 inches of snow tonight. Yuk!! I'll see you all at the pool.

Yeah I agree totally.
Woa guys - from your frequent houseguest, I have nothing bad to say about any other thread, I think the friendships I am developing on this board are awesome and they come from all areas - in fact I ran into a best friend of mine from when I was in fourth grade here on the DIS that I had not talked to since fourth grade, priceless. If you stuck your head into some of our scrapping threads you may feel we are being exclusionary, but its only because we have a swap or trade set up not to exclude anyone from participating - and I am brand new over there. I don't feel DISplaced at all, in fact, if I have something to pipe in with I often will. :teeth:

On with the Vegas talk.

Oh, Robin (Cruisin'Kroezes) - I am a total cruise addict too - my DH and I feel the exact same way as your husband does - fine, leave the ship in port, we don't care. I love that cruise you found. I have a cruise in planning for our anniversary, but plans are a little fluid right now because we can't decide whether we should do the Bermuda cruise right out of Boston, or go on the Wonder or Magic.

First let me apologize to the regulars (are there regulars here yet?) for hijacking your thread.

Call me sensitive, or call me looking to start trouble...but don't call me a member of a clique, or exclusionary......Though I can't claim to be an "original" riddler, I am an "original" angel (in many ways ::yes:: )

I find it offensive that some people decide to spew ill will towards a group of friends simply having fun in their own lit tle corner of cyberspace. Every thread isn't for everyone, and it's our individualism that makes the internet an interesting and fun place to come to share our space....but that doesn't make any individual thread on the CB a clique or exclusionary. You jump in where you find people talking about things that interest you....I have yet to find a thread where outsiders were blatantly shown to the door.

A group that congregates in the same area generally have like interests and hobbies and have something to talk about. Like a dinner party in the real world, if you don't have anything to talk about with the group standing near the windows, move to the group near the punchbowl.

With that being said.....I would like to formally welcome everyone to the daily riddle threads (which have experienced record numbers of new posters in the last 6 monthes...we must be doing something right....), and the Angel Thread. Stop by and see for yourself.
