We aren't going to Mickey's Halloween party. I wondered whether it was a good strategy to go the the park that day. We have a flexible 14 days pass. I was thinking of doing two days 9-1 on the days of the Halloween party and maybe return to MK another evening? I thought maybe attendance wouldn't be mad that day as people would want to avoid the park totally because of the early closure (i.e so as not to waste a day). Or will it be bad all day? Thanks.

Can't speak to current habits, but when we've done either holiday party pre-covid, the MK on Main Street and the Hub started getting crowded around 3:00 p.m.

It'll get crazier in those areas after 4:00 up to party start time. And, I mean CMs patrolling along shop fronts to keep an open pathway--that scary-crazy.

Two reasons: 1) Partygoers start being admitted after 4:00, and 2) CMs begin asking people to show they have party wristbands. If you don't, it'll be Disney-gently suggested you head for the MK gate. After around 5:30, there'll be groups of non-partygoers being escorted to the gate by CMs.

You should be fine in the MK until 1:00-2:00, after which you'll do well to go back to your resort or to hop after 2:00 if you have ParkHoppers.

Can't speak as to currently, but pre-2019 we did MK many times on MNSSHP days. Historically it typically had low crowds until 4:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m. when the partygoers can enter, it builds up fairly fast as you have the mix of regular park goers and the party group.

If you don't mind missing the nighttime entertainment, they are good MK days because the crowds can be large on the non-party days as people avoid the party days because of the early closure.

We've gone that day when we weren't going to a party---- and more often when we were going to the party that night we have used a regular ticket for the first part of the day, gone back to the resort around 2:00 to change into a costume, re-entered in the regular line with our regular ticket around 3:30 in costume telling them we would go get our wristbands in the in-park station to avoid the long lines for party entry. We love MNSSHP.

I actually chose to go to MK on a party day and leave for HDDR just when party crowds will start to enter. You can do that with a monorail ADR.

We also have 14 day ticket and will go for another evening to MK for the nighttime spectacular and we also booked a MNSSHP for a another day.

Typically it's extra busy in the two or three hours surrounding crossover time. I don't see that being any different this year.

We find up until partygoers can enter the park that the crowds are lower than many days that week. We choose to go to MK on party days as the early close keeps many from booking.

Historically, going from 9-1 on a party day would be a great choice!

Generally the park will be pretty quiet before 4 when the party goers start to arrive. If you have young kids or a park hopper or a lengthy park pass, it's a great day to go to a park and then hang by the pool (or hop in the afternoon)

Yes, that's a good plan. Parties pretty much disrupt the crowd flow of every park for close to 5 months.

Crowds will be noticeably lighter on party days (at least before 4pm). It's mostly just the guests with Park Hoppers who head elsewhere before the park closes at 6pm. That puts a heavier strain the other 3 parks to absorb the crowds all the day long.

On non-party days, it's the reverse, everyone pours into the MK, including increased park hopping in the evening, to get a full days value, plus fireworks.

Question about non party nights. Do they still do the kiss goodnight? This is our third trip and I am trying to catch it <3

I don't think they've been doing the Kiss goodnight anymore (? as far as I know.. been watching streamers at the park late and never goes off)
