Attendance

I just checked the onsite hotels that just a few weeks ago were sold out for all next week and it looks like rooms are open. I had to initially book a 2nd reservation to extend my trip but I was able to call today and extend my original reservation and cancel the 2nd one and save about $200 in the process.
Did you book direct with the hotel? I paid/reserved thru Costco travel and am wondering if I can get a lower rate since I notice they now have room openings at the GCH that I dont think were there a week ago. Trip has been prepaid, so I am not sure if I have any leverage. Anybody had any success with something like this?

Costco Travel just refers you over to Walt Disney Travel Company. I haven't used them for a few years but I recall seeing a $200 cancellation fee. Not sure if still there or what the terms are.

I would:
Read the terms
Price the package to see if prices have changed (and maybe price rooms on DL website for comparison)
Call the number to reach WDTC and inquire about rebooking hotel portion/switching to GCH room

I booked direct since we went used the AP discount. For the one reservation they canceled they did refund my deposit which could take a week or more to get; since it was a room only reservation it didn't have any cancel fee. Not sure how it would work with a prepaid package. I would check the fine print on your package to see what it says. But it also never hurts to call and ask.

Thanks @gerilyne and @SeaDis ! Calling tonight :)

If Disneyland is expecting lower crowds this weekend, they sure haven't acted on it. They are still not accepting Flex Pass reservations for tomorrow, Saturday.

I’m very interested to see wait times this Saturday.

At 2:10 on a Friday SR has a 20 minute wait, PP 25 minutes. Space is 65 minutes... I’m wondering if it went down earlier, causing a line. Seems like a pretty light Friday at Disneyland.

I'm trying to figure out if RSR still having fastpasses available is because someone canceled or if they are in fact still available. It's almost 2:45 PST with a current return time of 7:25-8:25pm.

When the weather is nice, Fridays tend to get quite busy starting after 3:00, when locals start coming. If that does not materialize in the next few hours, it's a harbinger of the troubles that may lie ahead.

You can only see cancellations if you’re in the park actually trying to get FPs. The ones that show up in the “attractions” part of the app are what’s currently distributing for everyone, Maxpass or not, no cancellations.

Well, it’s 5:23pm and PP has a 25 minute wait, Space is down to 45 minutes, and SR is 20.

The Coronavirus is having an impact. There is no other way to explain the low crowds. It is 5:30 on a Friday, and you can still get a 8:45 PM FP for Toy Story or a 9:00 for Space Mountain. Even the popular Soarin' Over CA has a 30 minute wait.

Those are wait time of YEARS past....

Hopefully we can enjoy it while it lasts....

Looking at wait times for today less than an hour after park opening, it seems the crowds are back. 45 minutes for Peter Pan, 40 minutes BTMRR, 50 minutes smugglers run, etc.

RSR FPs are already distributing times in the afternoon, and from FB group chatter it seems like ROTR boarding groups went quickly compared to the last few days.

It will be interesting to see how crowd levels are later in the day since I know mornings have been busier than normal lately with people showing up to the get into ROTR BGs I

Interesting. My friend and her boyfriend are there now and they said it’s empty lol

It very well could be, I was just making an observation based on app wait times and comments I am seeing on Disneyland FB Groups from people who are currently there.
