Attendance ? for regular December travelers

Here's a question for all you DISers who've been to WDW multiple Decembers. Our last trip was the first week in December 2001. It was great, low crowds, short lines. We are going this year 12/5-12/13 and I'm wondering if we can expect the same amount of crowds. I know early December is usually a slower time, but I'm wondering if 2001 was normal or if it was especially slow due to 9/11?

We went 2000 and 2001 and it was very nice with low crowds.

We're going again this December for the same reason!

This is a good question, and one I'd like to see more answers to. We went in 2001 and 2002 and are going again this year. Last year seemed just a tad more crowded than 2001, but it is hard to compare because we went the week after Thanksgiving in 2001 and two weeks after Thanksgiving in 2002. It was still very low crowds, so the small difference wasn't a big deal at all. Maybe 5 minutes wait compared to walk on for some rides. Enjoy!

We've gone the last 5 years around that time. 2001 was probably the least crowded, 2000 was the most. Last year wasn't too bad. None of the trips were as crowded as our October 98 & 99 trips.

I'm wondering what the crowds are like on weekends in December. We've always gone in the early fall, but this year we're going the week after T-giving. There's another thread going about how crazy Saturdays are at WDW, and we're wondering whether we ought to plan to do nothing on our Saturday there. Any advice anyone???

MK is crazy on any Saturday any time that I've gone (September, October, and December). BUT the other parks are very manageable in December. We've done Epcot and MGM on Saturday in December and didn't think it was bad at all.
