Attack of the Lakeshore Lodge

The original plans for Reflections were announced as a partial DVC / partial hotel setup (with no specifics on the unit mix, just 900+ rooms). FWIW. Personally I suspect that will still be the case now, but TBD of course.
I'm wondering whether the fact that DVC announced it rather than Parks & Resorts means they've reworked the interior plans to make it all-DVC instead of the combo DVC + hotel. I suspect they like being able to have the DVC owners pay for operations and maintenance while being able to rent some rooms for cash. They could have redesigned the exterior as well, even though they're using the same footprint. The concept art I've seen so far has been for Reflections. Now that Poly Tower is about to open, we have new fodder for speculation!!

I do find it odd that the official name now seems to be "Disney" Lakeshore Lodge. Compare that to *Disney's* Riviera Resort, Disney's Old Key West, Disney's [everything else] it sure feels a little weird to me and sticks out. (I do realize the subtitle of Reflections had the same issue.)
You know what? We saw Moana 2 last night and the screen before the movie said Disney Moana 2. I mentioned it to DH that it looked like a typo. Maybe a trend here.

I think it also means they suspect Poly or Riv, ideally both to be sold out or close to it in 2027.

IF that is the case, how much could dues fall down to for the Cabins/Lakeshore Lodge? Could they possibly get into the ~$8/pt range like the other towers? I also wonder how long it will take them to announce they will be part of the same association? I'm assuming 2-3 weeks before opening. 😂
It’s funny because it’s true

I don’t think they will fall into the low $8 range. I suspect upper $8 to upper $9 range

I just learned about this from an owners update. They didn’t have much information.

It would put me off buying if its bundled from a dues perspective with the cabins as their upkeep costs are going to be much higher per pt than a large hotel building. You could possibly say the same for Copper Creek, but the cabin point cost there is so high it probably evens itself out.

The CCV cabins weren’t trucked in, positioned on a slab, and then set up with the idea that they’d be hauled away and replaced in a couple decades or so.

A few thoughts....

Transportation.... what is the plan with this?

A beautiful serene resort that requires me to drive or take the bus would work for me just fine, but it would really need to be done well - a beautiful lazy river, several LARGE pools, several nice eatery options - doesn't have to be as fancy as Topolino's, but just nice and elegant options, hopefully including a food court style option, fire pits, multiple LARGE hot tubs, etc.

Somewhere that, if I were doing a resort-only stay would be ideal... think something like a Disney themed Marriott World Center or Hyatt Grand Cypress, and less like Old Key West or SSR...

Otherwise, I don't see how they can do a points chart that is as high as where they have been lately... I also think 900 rooms is a lot!

It doesn't have to be Typhoon Lagoon, but a relaxing, sprawling nature-focused resort with large villas (RIV, VGF, or OKW size), walking trails/bike paths, lots of pools, lazy river, that would be a hit, and I would happily invest in 200-300 points there.... Even if they were at a RIV sort of points chart range....
