Attach old MagicBand instructions, please?

Hi, we start our trip today. I booked resort room only and tickets separately (through Disney). I found our old Magic bands. How do i connect them for door, room charging and especially tapping in as onsite guests for extended hours? My phone will be dead all the time if i use it.

Your old MBs are already connected to your MDE profiles. They should be capable of opening the door to your room, charging to your resort folio and tapping in at parks. You don't need to do anything as long as your reservation and tickets are linked to the same MDE profiles that the MBs are attached to.

Ok - if you sign into MDE, go to "My MagicBands and Cards." Scroll down the page to the list of guests. Click the Triangle next to each name and make sure the band you have on you is active (match the serial number).

Sometimes you still have to ask the front desk to make sure it works.

Ok i do see them. Looks like we each have 8 attached to us, but i only found one set. I have thrown away so many over the years when we went every year. Looks like the ones i found are listed but ’inactive’. i guess i need to Activate them.

We continue to take our most recent "old" magic band on trips. When staying onsite, we ask the front desk to make sure it works okay upon check in. Usually they just hold it up to some sensor and ask us to verify the pin code on a key pad. Has successfully worked that way every time for us.
