Atlantis cabana excursion?

has anyone done the Atlantis cabana? I know I have no chance of a cabana at Castaway Cay so this might be a good option for our Nassau day. Thoughts? https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures/nassau-bahamas-private-cabana-at-atlantis/
Thought: Atlantis is not a sit-back-and-relax place like Castaway Cay. Its about the river rides and water slides. I visit Atlantis every year for a week, and have never gotten a cabana. I tried to get one at CC, but they were all sold out by the time I could book.

Put more briefly: Atlantis' cabanas are nice, but are an extra-special luxury.

Hmm, good to know. Last time I was at Atlantis was about 17 years ago and we just sat by the water, and had no little kids! Maybe I can have my husband take the kids on waterlsudes while I sit in the cabana sipping cocktails with my in laws?

I had a cabana the only time I went to Atlantis, and I don't think I would have enjoyed the day without it. Your experience will greatly depend on the time if year you go, we went during spring break, and the place was packed. They don't allow you to walk through the water ways without a float, and those were super hard to come by. My youngest and I only snagged a glistening once, my oldest got one twice, and my husband never managed to get one, so he never made it through any of the slides. The food/drink lines were over a hour long. It was extremely nice to know that even though we couldn't really do any of the slides, we at least had a place to sunbathe, keep cool, and that we didn't have to wait in line for food, and that we had lunch and drinks delivered to us whenever we wanted.

This is no longer an issue (and it was really just a problem for cruisers/other guests that didn't know there way around Atlantis). There is now a place to wait in a semi-orderly line. Its near a spot where all people are required to get of of their tubes so there's much more turnover. Atlantis instituted this system sometime in the past 24 months. I experienced it first-hand last year over Easter and spring-break last year, and it worked well.

Like Disney World, Atlantis can be an awful place if you don't know how to avoid crowds. I've seen the lines you mention during my many vacations, and I feel sorry for the folks in the line, knowing that a 5-10 minute walk away there's usually a food venue with no lines.

So I get how a cabana can solve that problem, but I'm happy top help people here in this board avoid that situation without paying several hundred for a cabana.
