Ate nights at Disney (June 16-24) -complete

Wow, a 6:45 ADR and you didn't finish till almost 10:00? That's one LONG wait/meal!!

Yum!!

Thanks for the great reviews. You make me want to try Tutto Italia now. :thumbsup2

It was so good. I wish I could go back tonight! :thumbsup2

I made a ADR for Tutto for our August trip!! :thumbsup2

I had one more ADR to make and didn't know where so just made one for the Norway Princess Dinner just to have one at a time I wanted.

After consulting with my DD9 who told me she's going into 4th grade and didn't need any more princess pictures :rolleyes1 - UNLESS THE FOOD WAS GOOD  - I have decided to cancel the Princess meal and book Teppan Edo instead. :thumbsup2

Again thanks for the great reviews, it really helped me when deciding where to make my ADRs.

It seemed even LONGER. The service there was the worst we had by far, and the food wasn't that great either. We will never go back.

I'm glad I helped. It makes me feel better about staying up until 12:30 each night DISing when I should be sleeping! :goodvibes I hate it when that alarm sounds at 6.....

Our kids are the same age, and DS9 loved Teppan Edo. He only ranked Le Cellier higher and that was because he could get a whole steak there. I only let him have half of mine at TE. :)

This morning we went to our happy place for breakfast....

CHEF MICKEY'S
We love breakfast here! There are so many choices ranging from eggs and breakfast meats to fruit or even doughnuts. DH always calls it a shameless display of gluttony, and he is right!

The characters have changed a little since we were there last year. This time they all came to our table. In the past Goofy has stayed at the entrance. Characters included Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. We got some great pictures!! Character interaction here has always been great.

This year we could see the monorail from our table. :goodvibes

I can't think of anything that wasn't good here. DS had a plate full of bacon and Mickey waffles - you can't beat that. :rotfl: Except maybe with an entire plate full of chocolate doughnuts like his dad had! :lmao:

The chef made some special Mickey waffles for DFs DD - peanut contamination free! :thumbsup2

Our waitress was great. She kept our coke, milk and juice full, and quickly swept away the empty plates.

We had breakfast at 10:30, so it served as both breakfast and lunch.

We have eaten here 3 years in a row now, and will hopefully make it four next year. :goodvibes We have always been happy with the service, food, and character interaction.

I would give this an 8 out of 10, and we will definitely be back. :thumbsup2

This was our only night without a dinner reservation. Everyone had been complaining because I had made so many dinner reservations in Epcot, but guess where we had our CS dinner on this our free night.....

EPCOT! :lmao:

YAKITORI HOUSE (JAPAN)
We all love sushi, so we decided to give this place a try.

We had 3 Tokyo sushi rolls (avocado, cucumber, crab meat and smelt roe reverse rolled in sushi rice and seaweed) with 2 ginger cakes and 1 chocolate chip cookie, and a Tempura shrimp udon with a cookie. The udon was in a pretty big bowl and was steamy hot. The udon noodles were huge. They were about the thickness of 6 spaghetti noodles. This kids shared this with lots left over. The soup was rather dark - possibly beef based (?) and there were two very large tempura shrimp on top. The boys also shared one of the sushi rolls, which they loved.

DH and I each had one of the other rolls. It was pretty good. If you've ever eaten pre-prepared sushi from a frig. then you know what this was like. It reminded me of the stuff I get from our local grocery store. Not bad, but nothing great either. It even came in the same type of tray with a little ball of wasabi and a little pile of ginger.

We had lots of extra CS credits, so we went back for 2 more rolls. This time we got the special, combo. roll. It was half Tokyo roll and half spicy tuna (raw). The spicy tuna was just OK. It wasn't spicy enough for me, and it had sort of a smoky taste. Again, it tasted like grocery store sushi.

We enjoyed this meal and would probably return if we were having a sushi craving.

I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

Last review!

We had planned for a full day in the parks with a late night flight home, but Delta canceled our flight and put us on one much earlier.

So, we got up early, checked our bags, and headed out again to.....
EPCOT! :rotfl: I honestly think we spent time in that park every day!

We had time for one last ride on Figment, Mission Space, and two on Test Track before we had to eat lunch and head back to POFQ for our ME pick-up.

We had to eat something close by, so we ended up at....

ELECTRIC UMBRELLA
This place was crowded and it took us a while to get our food because they ran out of cooked meat. But since we had to wait for them, our burgers were hot and fresh.

Both boys had chicken nuggets with fries and no sugar added brownies. DH and I had bacon double cheeseburgers with fries and cheesecake with strawberry sauce.

We were all very happy with our last Disney meal. The kids loved the nuggets, and our burgers were very good. I didn't try the brownie, but DH said that it was surprisingly good. The cheesecake was great. I put very little strawberry sauce on it, but it did add a nice sweet flavor. It comes in a seperate cup.

There is nothing special about this place, but it is in a great location. We wouldn't plan to eat here again, but if it worked out that way we wouldn't complain.

This one gets a 6 out of 10.

Thanks for all your great reviews. I enjoyed reading them...and they made me hungry for our trip September 1.

Great reviews! Thanks. I'm going to make an ADR for Teppan Edo now.

Great Reviews! Thanks for sharing! You have really maked us excited for our upcoming trip!

Thanks for sharing It has given me some great insights for next years trip.

I've read about the great lasagna!

The Profiteroles and Copetta Sottobosco are calling me!

On my ADR!

If my picky DS wants to go "plain", hopefully he can get an "adult" portion of the kids spaghetti and meatball? Anyone ever do that?

Thx.:goodvibes

We didn't try, but the kids portion was pretty big. How old is your DS? It might be enough for him. If not, I'm sure the staff at TI would make be happy to prep an adult portion for him. They were wonderful! They made a special dessert for our nut allergy kiddo with not problem at all - and it was HUGE! The manager even stopped by to make sure it was good. :thumbsup2
