For those of you who've already stayed at WH...how often does the pool cleaning guy come? I am nervous about leaving the gate at the back open for pool maintenance because of security. I wonder if I can schedule the visits so that I can be there?

I know, I know uber paranioa...

It may vary depending on what service each owner uses, but our paperwork said once a week and he came already. Popped in one morning thru the back screen door and was gone in less than 10 minutes. We keep the sliding patio doors locked, so no worries.

Glad to hear all the nice things about WH! We'll be there in August.

We've stayed nearby, in Oak Island Harbor, so we're pretty familiar with the area and its proximity to the World.

Considering the wide range of some reviews, can those of you who've had great experiences post links to the homes/townhomes you've liked? Or at least post info for getting in contact with the owners? I don't think this would be against the rules....I hope not!

Target is about 3 miles or so ( 5 minutes) west on 192. There's a Black Angus Steakhouse about a minute from WH entrance. It's on the corner of Old Lake Wilson and 192 ( on the right). There's an Outback Steakhouse in the Formosa Gardens Village across from Red Lobster (sort of), about 3 or 4 minutes away.
