Didn't we warn your boy about the dry socket hurting really bad? :confused3 What happened to the clot? Poor kid. I hear it is one of the worst pains ever. Worse than childbirth, because that comes in waves, where the dry socket never lets up. I'm glad he is okay now. Glad you are home too although I am sorry about you're being the hydrant.

Well, it seems that the clot come out on the gauze...that the dr packed in there right after surg. That is why it was hurtingso bad. He really didn't do anything to cause it, just changed the gauze...

...But, my baby is feeling better now, and the dr gave him his own vicodin script today, so he is good to go for a while...

This kid is a person who has a REALLY high tolerance for pain...if he is in tears from it, someone else would be writhing...and the dr even said he has seen people on the floor from the pain...who knew? :confused3

:scared1: The poor kid. I do hope the pain subsides soon.

Yeah, advice from the trenches...having your wisdom teeth out is no picnic!

At least I know now for DS16...I guess we all know now for future reference...

I was twenty-five when I had my impacted wisdom teeth removed. I don't know if I sang any songs but I remember telling the nurses to just let me lay there a little longer and they wouldn't let me. :rotfl2: I was scared beyond belief of dry socket. Luckily it didn't happen, but I can't tell you if I did anything different when I changed my gauze to keep it from tearing out the clot.

Looking back at my gales of laughter in my previous post.... I hope I didn't seem insensitive! The dog and hydrant hit too close to home today - I was definitely the hydrant! I hope both of you (DS - physically and Deb- mentally) heal quickly!

PO3- I hope they get this foot thing figured out!

I think we all have days when we are the hydrant...

Not insensitive at all...it was funny at the time. Actually most of the time when I tell stories of family life and strife, I am met with gales of laughter from those within hearing...it must be in the delivery...go figure :confused3

Anyway...Heres hoping that we all have a dog day, and not a hydrant day tomorrow :lmao:

i'm stuck at work all week by myself because the other girl is on vacation,so i really can't do anything about it until she comes back.
