My husband and 15 year old son are at Disney now. They checked into Sports on Friday. With the package that I set up for them, they have quick service dining, 3 park days, and 4 nights at Sports.

On Friday when I saw the weather forecast for the East Coast, I added another hotel night and dining, but not park day. This was over the phone with guest relations.

On Friday they checked in and then went to Downtown Disney. Returned early evening and went to eat at the food court. Magic Bands not working no dining plan on them. Got that straightened out and returned to the room.

Saturday morning went to Epcot, no park tickets on bands had to wait at guest relations and get that fixed.

Saturday evening husband couldn't get into hotel room, son's magic band worked.

Sunday morning (today) husbands Magic Band would not allow him into DHS but son's worked fine.

So far the guest services at Epcot extended one fast pass time because they had to wait in line and were late for their 9am one at Epcot.

Last night manager at Sports gave them an extra park day so my disney experience and the confirmation email showed 4 park days total.

Today at DHS the guest relations person gave them 1 extra fast pass.

Right now they are at DHS and I looked online at My Disney Experience and it is showing no park days, just dining plan and hotel.

Can't wait to see what happens tonight when they try and get in the room or tomorrow at the park. Wonder if they really have 4 park days, since I re arranged their fastpasses to include an extra day.

That's got to be so frustrating! Hope Disney gets their act together so they have no more issues. I'm glad Disney gave them a little something for their troubles......:flower3:

So you are saying everyone should now leave one person at home to troubleshoot the kinks that come up during a trip? ;)

OP, I'm so sorry they are dealing with all this. Remember, "this is only a test". Or so they say. I hope they are done being glitched.

I would love to see that conversation.

Yes we are going to leave you home to troubleshoot our Disney Trip while we actually enjoy said Disney trip. :lmao:

And then there will be a death.

I sincerely hope things get better for you OP. Hang in there.

So funny! :rotfl:

I also hope that this gets straightened out. It all sounds a bit ridiculous.

That is so funny about being home to work out the kinks. In a way it is true. He keeps calling me and asking me what to do. I did all of their fastpasses ahead of time. Gave them all of the information of where to eat and what snacks to get for the best deals. He went on a work trip at the beginning of the week and then the plan was a few days at Disney.

They are having a great time and they got tons accomplished at Epcot yesterday and so far today at DHS. It is just frustrating.

At least the CMs on site are trying to make things right for them. That's good to see. I hope the rest of it goes smoothly.

He just called me. The tickets for the parks are off his account again. Stopped at the desk on the way back from DHS to check on food balance and get the tickets restored. Found out he has two more mugs on his food account. Even though they already got their mugs on Friday.

I just do not understand this system. It works great for some people and others just keep having issues upon issues. I know it is a test, but none
of it makes sense.

You are savvy though. Maybe you can do this for other people. A full time FP problem solver. You could probably handle 5-6 families a week. :)

I am going to have to train my people better. I have a little time, my next trip is going to be Disneyland.

This could really be a growth industry. ;)

And if you're heading west you have a LOT of time. It drove my crazy how LITTLE there was to do ahead of time. :)

Oy. :badpc:

I was just checking Magic kingdom wait times for the heck of it and they seemed quite long. 1/2 hour ago I saw Pirates of the Caribbean at 70 minutes! Are they reporting some long wait times or is this normal for this time of year?

I hope things go nice and smooth for them now :)

Granted my husband and son do not move very fast :-) compared to me when I take our younger kids, but yesterday at Epcot they were late getting in because of Magic Band issues, but they got in about 930am. They did Test Track, Mission Space, Land, Soarin, Nemo, Crush, Spcaeship Earth, innovations, and the countries to the right of the USA. Ate at USA and left the park around 730pm.

Today they got in DHS around 915. Did TSM, Star Tours, Muppets, ate lunch, gmr, backlot, one mans dream, that I know of and are back in room resting.

They have fastpasses for later tonight for Tower and Rock in Roller Coaster.

Just a thought...because I have heard a ton of people complaining about tickets and dining entitlements not being on the magic bands. But is there someway that the front desk at your hotel can read the magic bands to make sure everything is on them that should be? We leave in25 days for disney and I have 2 small kids, and I really don't want to have these issues with my magic bands lol

Wow sorry about your problems OP. Sounds like you are taking it in stride. That is so terrible to have that many glitches on a trip.

Sounds like my December trip. I logged 14+ hours with guest services. NOTHING worked on my magic bands. From park tickets, to charging, to the dining plan. NOTHING.

I finally found ONE cast member that could make things work. Before that I had up to 10 people tell me "it is all loaded correctly" on the magic band. Well, if it is loaded on the band correctly, why am I standing outside the park when I have tickets inside the park?

I will stop ranting. But sounds like Disney has some way to get it correct.

My husband keeps saying how could it be fine at the desk at Sports when they "fix" everything. But by the time he gets to the parks his tickets disappear? Plus I have been watching from home and keep getting the emails as they add the tickets back on, but then they disappear again.

It is a shame that Disney can't get it right, because it is a good concept if it would work correctly for everyone all of the time.
