BTW... I find it quite interesting that in the poll ASMu is over 50%, and CBR is in the 40's..... :confused3 Eeks... hope we made the right decision....

we have only stayed at music and movies. but i would love to stay at CBR. ive wanted to our last trip but because we take a friend or 2 of my dd and have to get 2 rooms we go to all stars. we did visit CBR. it looked so pretty, we ate lunch to. we walked all around. we really liked it , i like the feel of the island type hotels. hopefully someday we will get to stay there. but if it were to cost just a little more i would DEF. go with CBR. you will have a great time at either one . Have fun.

Agreed. I'd go with any resort over CBR. It's the oldest mod, has no elevators, if you get stuck out in Trinidad south, you might as well be in another resort because it's so far away from anything. They're putting in a new pool but it like putting new hub cabs on a gremlin.
It's true that it is a large resort. We had a room location that I thought was in a different time zone. The resort is pretty but I'd try a different resort next time before staying at CBR again.

I like ASMu over CBR because CBR was way too big and the buses werent that good when we went so ASMu gets my vote

I have heard this before on other threads ... what is the major issue with the CBR buses?

I have heard this before on other threads ... what is the major issue with the CBR buses?

CBR being a large resort has multiple bus stops. For what its worth, we had the best bus service of any resort stay at WDW at CBR. I think its a luck thing. Sometimes you can't catch a break, and sometimes it just seems that Bus Karma is your new best friend! The good news is that it doesn't share busses with another resort. I want to say CBR has a total of seven stops. Thsi didn't bother me at all. I hate sharing between resorts far more than I hate making mulitple stops at my own resorts. What's nice about all those stops is that regardless of what area you are in, you have a bus stop and quiet pool near you. The food court may be further than you like, but at least its a pretty walk! And all of the mods except POFQ are spread out. But I like that with all of them since that gives lots of room to spread out in and I love strolling around those big resorts, like CBR, , POR, CSR, OKW and SSR. ASMU is smaller and more compact but it still has some sections that are a hike as well.

Music has one bus stop. Its not covered and if you are in one of the sections (like Country Fair) that is situated furthest back, you'll be wishing it had more than one stop. And remember, the All Stars do often share busses with each other. Not always but it does happen. Doesn't bother me, but many people don't like that at all as far as busses at the All Stars. All resorts get their heat with bus issues. They either share, or they only have only one stop that might be far away.

CBR is large. It doesn't have elevators. Neither does the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside and most of the buildings at OKW don't have elevators either. I thin that was bad planning on Disney's part. We have learned to request a ground floor room which is a request only. One thing about it, at CBR the buildings are all two story as far as I remember so you won't have more than one flight of stairs to climb.

I think at this point you have to just go with your gut. Anytime anyone posts a poll, they will get lots of responses which is a good thing. But it can drive you nuts too! For the most part your poll is even which could be taken that you have narrowed your choice down to two great resorts!

I just think CBR is very romantic and your code has given you a huge savings. Normally the price difference for a week would be far greater. I think for our six nights in April the difference between Music and CBR was something like $450. Which is why I went with Music and we loved it and the money we saved. But this was for a trip with two kids, not a honeymoon. For that, I'd go with CBR all the way.

Good luck and have a wonderful honeymoon wherever you decide to stay!

We like both of them...

If we are not going to be at the resort much we usually book a value.
If we are planning on going to be at the resort quite a bit we book cbr or YC.

I haven't stayed at ASMu, but I have stayed at ASMo and if ASMo is any indication of how all the All-Stars are, I won't be staying at an All-Star again.
I've stayed at CBR and loved it. It's the only Moderate resort I've stayed at, but I thought it was extremely nice. As others have mentioned, the layout and landscaping of the resort is fabulous. Very lush and tropical and the "beaches" with the hammocks on them are so relaxing. I highly reccomend it.

I stayed at both resorts in May. I did 7 nights at ASMu and then moved over to CBR for 4 nights. I like the ASmu and the room was nice and quiet and comfortable. When I moved to the CBR it felt like I had moved way up in space, comfort and surroundings. I felt so much more relaxed. I think you made a good choice.

ASMu is a nice hotel, but CBR is much more romantic and relaxing. Since it is a honeymoon setting, I would highly recommend you ignore the haters and stick with CBR - you will be much happier. Having a guaranteed king room is great, too. As for being spread out - what's wrong with that? I assume you might like a little space and quiet...

And as of now when I write this post, CBR is ahead once again! I love the pictures some of you hav posted. Only 11 months to go and I'll be there myself!

Thank you to all of you who voted and who shared their experiences/opinions! We apprecaite your feedback.... we have decided to stay with the CBR for our Honeymoon part II. I am sure we will have a chance to check out the ASMu at some point - and we look forward to it. ;)

:thumbsup2 Have a great trip!

Hmm...we're staying at ASMu this year for the first time, and we've stayed at CBR twice. The first time was on our honeymoon, the second time was with our two boys. We've usually stay at the values, but we do love CBR.

For the $240, I would have picked CBR.

Have a wonderful Honeymoon Part 2!!

I think you made a great choice. And do check out Music someday, its a great resort. My favorite value.

Man, I wish I could get a code like you got for our trip next June to CBR!

And now I see the poll is tied at 36 votes each. Again, they are both great resorts equally in my book. Just in different ways.

We actually were pretty exciting about trying out ASMu, but we figure the next time we go to WDW we will have a child - so we will get a chance to try the value resort then for sure . ;) (That's if I don't change my mind again before we go ....:lmao: )

We are now at the point that we either need to get two rooms or a villa because we are now a family of 6....we often wish we had stayed at the value resorts before we had 4 so we would know if we liked them and if we'd be able to comfortably fit. Now we go back and forth every time we go over where to stay. If we had visited the values pre kids we'd know :) I think I might actually prefer the values w/ NO kids (we'd spend less time at the resort and probably wouldn't use the pools) and do the moderate/deluxe w/ kids so they can enjoy the great pools :)

I don't think you can go wrong with the CBR though :)

Ahhhh... very good point. Well, maybe we'll have to go back to the values when we've got one "on the way"... ;)

For your Honeymoon, definately CBR! Even if you love kids like my wife and I do, we wanted fewer kids around during our honeymoom. You'll be around plenty of kids at the parks, so the CBR will give you a little more space to yourselves.

For a honeymoon, I would've picked a Disney Cruise
