ASMo to WHISPERING CANYON??

Just noticed the thread here for Pop to Whispering Canyon. Would this be the same for ASMo??

How long should we allow for travel time from ASMo to WCC??

Do I understand it right that the best route would be to go to MK and take the boat to WL?? or....is there a bus that we can take that would be quicker??

Also ...if we were to take a taxi--how much would that cost for 3 people??


Just had a thought---have stayed at CR before and know that they have a boat that leaves from there that goes to WL. Could we somehow get a bus to the Contemporary from ASMo or could we go to the TTC and transfer to a Contemporary bus and grab a boat from there?? Would this be quicker time wise or would the boat at MK be easier and faster???

There aren't buses that go from resort to resort. You have several choices.

1. Bus to Magic Kingdom--bus from Magic Kingdom to Wilderness Lodge. This will probably not be the fastest.

2. Bus to Magic Kingdom--boat to Wilderness Lodge. The boats sometimes make a couple of stops, (Fort Wilderness, Contemporary)

3. Bus to Magic Kingdom--walk to Contemporary--boat to Wilderness Lodge.

I can't help you with the taxi, as I haven't taken one. There is a transporation wizard at

That offers another solution of
1. Bus to Blizzard Beach-Bus to Wilderness Lodge.

but it isn't always accurate. The time to allow depends on the time of year you are traveling and the time of day.

I never suggest anyone try to get directly from one resort to another via Disney transportation. Just plan on the nearest theme park for that part of the day and go from there. In your case plan on some time in the Magic Kingdom either before or after your meal.

2 weeks ago from BWV bus to MK boat to WL. Total trip to 1hr. we had to wait about 15mins for a boat to WL. Make sure you allow enough time.

Is the Blizzard Beach route currently an option or will it be in August??

This seems the quickest since we will be coming from an afternoon rest at ASMo and are planning on going to dinner that night before hitting the MK's EMH evening hours.

Blizzard Beach is very close to ASMo and this seems like less of a hassle of switching to different transportation modes---busses and boats. We have a 5:10 ADR at Whispering Canyon so I'm wondering if this is an option and when we should leave ASMo? Are the water parks open at night???---I'm sure at this time of year they probably are---if it would be fairly simple to take a bus from ASMo to BB and fairly easy to find the bus to the WL then does'nt this seem like the best option for us???

We needed to do this one trip.

At the time of year we went the parks closed early. We had to take a bus to Downtown Disney and then hope a bus to Wilderness Lodge. We had late reservations.

another alternative is the bus to Epcot and catch the bus to WL. If you work the times right it could be the shortest. The bus from Epcot to WL is very quick cause WL is the first stop...but if you have to wait 20 minutes for the bus...oh...well....
