We are staying at the All Star Movies next week and had requested Toy Story, no smo, 2nd Fl. Any other tips for this resort? Do they provide coffee maker, hair dryers, Irons when requested. Can you keep these for the length of your stay? Do they give shampoo etc. enough for family of four? I know this a transprotation ? but is it really 40 min to go by bus to AKL for dinner? They say it is 40 min and you must first go to MGM then AKL. Should we take taxi and how $ is taxi? When I told my family I was posting and asked if anyone had any ?. My DD wants to know if they have Frosted Flakes there?

You can ask for a hairdryer on check in. My wife got one and hated it because it was overused, underpowered, and noisy. For our next trip we bought a curling iron and small foldable hair dryer for trips. I do not remember there being any coffee makers in the rooms, or irons. We did love the hotel, though, as it provided some great photo ops. Don't forget to get the kids picture taken on RC racer and in the Tv in the courtyard next to the dalmations. Almost forgot, the hotel had the standard bar of soap (micky soap actually), and small bottel of shampoo. I'm sure if requested they would leave extra, but we take our own.

The All Stars showers have a soap/shampoo dispenser on the
shower wall. You do not get individual soaps and shampoos.
As far as I know they do not provide coffee makers for the rooms.
They will give you an iron and hairdyer though on request. And
yes they do have individual prepackaged cereal at the food court,
included Frosted flakes!! As far as transportation goes, you might
want to take a taxi to AKL. I am not sure the cost, but AKL is not
that far from the ALL Stars. If Animal Kingdom is still open when
you plan on leaving, you could take a bus to there, then transfer
to the AKL bus. Have fun.....

We stayed at ASMo Toy Story 2nd floor for 9 nights in November, we asked for an iron the first night and had it for the length of our stay.

Also caught a taxi to AKL for breakfast at Boma it cost around $10 if memory serves.

No coffee makers.
We stayed in the Woody building, backside, third (top) floor and loved it. We were next to the elevator.
The AS have bars of soap at the sink. And combination soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower. You just slide the lever to whichever one you want.
Allow 1.5 hours if you are going from any resort to another resort. Our bus service at ASMo was great. But like any WDW transportation service, there is no guarantee you will arrive in a timely manner.
Taxi may be a very good option in this case.
And if you aren't paying extra to stay in the Fantasia buildings, you can request a certain building, floor, etc. But keep in mind, that is a request and not guaranteed either.
ASMo is a great resort and you should love it.
