ASMo preferred location...

What's a preferred location I could request without it being a location like Fantasia where it cost extra to stay there. I know no request is a guarantee but we've never stayed there so we have no idea which areas are better.

The Fantasia Buildings are the preferred buildings.
A lot of guests who want to be close to food court/bus stop request either the Toy Story buildings or the Dalmatians buildings.

I just got back from my first value stay at ASMo. I had requested Toy Story, 3rd floor (noone above you making noise), non smoking, conecting rooms. We got everything but Love Bug instead of Toy Story. At first I was unhappy but my DS seemed to like the Love Bug cars and Winner's Circle and we were very close to the elevators and ice machine but around the corner on the back (quiet) side of the building. It was a relatively short walk to the food court. We really enjoyed the food court.

One night the bus line from MK to ASMo looked like 2 or 3 bus fulls. We just got on the ASMu bus that was already there and got seats and had a reasonably short walk back to ASMo. I bet we got back to ASMo 40 minutes faster.

Great tip about taking the ASMu bus. We are going in Dec. I just might have to use that tip so thanks!

We had friends at mighty ducks at ASmo, we were at ASmu, and it was a much closer walk for them to music. If i was picking and ideal room for services, it would be the very back of ducks, and i'd use music food court and transportation.(Be sure to by a music mug to keep the flamers away).

Request the Dalmatian Building building 1! We just stayed there last week and it was literally with in a few feet of the Fantasia buildings (which would have upset me if we had paid extra for Fantasia!). Right by both pools, foodcourt, lobby, gift shop, bus stops and laundry, if needed.

ITA - Dalmations are in a great location. Not only are they within easy walking distance of just about everything - including both the Fantasia and the Mighty Ducks pools - they're relatively quiet.

I would definitely request that section again.

I was jrjac's next door neighbor while we were there and it was great. I actually think Dalmations 1 might be closer than Fantasia, either way though it's not any further.

Preferred rooms by definition cost more. At the All Stars and Pop Century the rooms designated as preferred were all of the rooms in specific buildings for example the Surfing's at All Star Sports and the 60's at Pop Century.

You can examine a map of the resort and select a non-preferred room that suits your desires, for example distance to the food court.
