Good question Alex! I met him when I worked part time behind the bar at the greyhound stadium where he was the catering manager. I actually wasn't the least bit attracted to him and didn't even realise that he was interested in me till others starting taking the mikey. He tried various methods of wooing me including plying me with champagne and smoked salmon and like a fungus he gradually grew on me but I still wasn't convinced until we kissed, corney as it sounds it was definitely in his kiss!

Darren and I will have been together 17 years this summer but we only got married in 2003, can you guess where?

I never wanted to get married and I definitely didn't want the big white wedding fuss. I always said that if I ever changed my mind I would just go away and do it and that's exactly what we did. We got married in Florida at Cypress Grove. It was just us and the girls and we had a really lovely, special day that I'll never forget.

I guess the rest of our holiday was our honeymoon but we did manage to have dinner at Victoria & Alberts which was lovely.

We also had a big party the week after we got back for all our family and friends and that was a great evening.

Although I'm not keen on chocolate I do love an easter egg Don't know if it's just me but the chocolate tastes different and is so much nicer. DH doesn't like eggs but loves chocolate bars so what we do is buy one where he likes the chocolate bar and then I have the egg, works out perfect.

I think that would have to be my GHD straighteners, I couldn't live without them but my ipod is a very close second.

Daffodils when I see daffodils I begin to feel that winter is coming to an end, just a shame they don't come out for very long

No and neither does Darren so we had our garden decked and brightened it up with lots of nice flower pots.

Hi Jan,

I have lived down here for nearly 23 years which is more years than I spent in bonny Scotland which is a bit I was originally an East Ender as well

No DH is a born and bred Essex man

I like an nice made to order omelette and if it's Florida I like pancakes.

I actually have a fear of the water. I can swim I just have absolutely no style. when we were in the Dom Republic DH persuaded me to have a go at diving, only in the pool mind you. It took me a while but I finally managed it and was surprised that I liked it.

Does mini golf count?
I've never skied
I used to go riding every Sunday morning but that was one of the many things that disappeared once I had children

I would like a boy purely because I already have the two girls. I think DH needs an ally he does tend to get a bit ganged up on

It would most definitely have been a kids movie, I never get a chance to go see anything else these days, I think it may have been Barnyard or Over The Hedge, whatever it was it was obviously memorable
