OK, I have a DIS history question. When I first joined there were constant talk about "duct tape" and the "duct tape patrol". I felt like I wasn't in on the joke. What was that from???

Not likely. The Tag Fairy hates those "tag begging" threads, and she really only tags when the mood strikes her.

Not for yourself, for others. If you see someone post something that is snort through the nose funny, can you "report" the post in a good way?

Oh, that would be so fun if that could happen, especially since there are some really funny things that get written that could be deemed tag worthy. I do agree with WMK about the begging threads, and can see how a submit feature could be abused. Maybe there could be more tag fairies in the wings, you know- like the 3 good fairies in Sleeping Beauty.

Oh, that's tough! There are so many different places to post, for people with so many different interests? The Community Board has everything, but I love the Restaurants forum (check out the Food Porn threads!), the Cruise forum, the Theme Parks Attractions forum. There's always something fun and new on the Podcast forum, too.

2. Do I need to be concerned with putting pictures of family on DIS or is it a personal preference?

Completely personal preference.

3. Why am I so addicted to the DIS?

It's a mystery!

What is your favorite food, dessert, color and etc.?

As long as you like! I can make up answers all day.

Food... hmmm... I love good Tex-Mex or a great steak (medium rare, please).

For dessert, something with creamy, rich chocolate is always a good choice. Or tiramisu, with espresso on the side.

Colors? I'm a blue/violet kind of girl. Around the house, I have a lot of deep blues and bronzes and browns, and "old" colors.

I'm not Kathy, but I could maybe answer a couple of those.

1: It depends on your nature. Such as people who like to scrap and the like would most likely enjoy the Creative Community board more than they would like the Photography board. (That is, if they don't like photography.)

2: It depends on how comfortable you are with the site, and whether you trust the people on here much.

3: The Webmasters have a certain pull over one's mind once they join the DIS. This keeps you from doing homework/working/whatever you are doing at the time.

I must have it set to invisible mode. I change it around sometimes.

Is the moderator board more fun than the CB?

Nah. It's really pretty similar.

Do you guys talk about us?

Sometimes! We often post about interesting threads, "Hey, you guys need to see this fun thread!". We also post about problem threads, and compare ideas on how to handle. We talk about how to do things, what to make sticky on different forums, who's going to be out of town so someone else can watch their forums, when we'll be at WDW to meet up, what's happening in our real lives. It's a lot like a big clique thread.

An alternate ID could be fun.

And we do encourage mods and webmasters to join in and post wherever they like! They were picked to help out based on being fun and active posters, and we sure don't want them to stop because they started to help out more officially.

There is a bit of a line they have to be aware of, though. It can be hard for a moderator to take off his/her moderator hat and really be a regular poster. And it can be confusing for posters to know how to react to them, too.
