So Ive been a lurker for awhile now and finally decided to start a Planning Journal.
About Us....
My name is Ashley and Im an early childhood education teacher, I currently work with Georgia's lottery funded pre-k program. My DF is Jordan.... you'll get a kick out of this... his last name is Ashley. So ultimately I will be Ashley Ashley. AHHHHHH.
My friends and I joke that I will be Ashley² signing documents will be super easy because I can just sign a squared sign ² after my name. You will soon notice that I can get off topic sometimes so just bear with me. Jordan works in the pharmaceutical industry for a company called Élan. We both share the passion of ALL things Disney (AP holders) and Georgia Bulldogs (season ticket holders). I'm so glad that I don't have to convince him into having a Disney wedding.... it is just understood!
How we met....
Jordan and I have been together for five years. We met about seven years ago while in high school. We actually met at K-Mart. Growing up in a small town has it's benefits but finding something to do on a Friday or Saturday night isn't one of them. Everyone used to meet up in their cars and hang out in parking lots.... yeahhhhh we were REALLY cool.
Well one night me and a couple of friends were hanging out at K-Marts parking lot and up strolls Jordan with Lyndsey (a girl friend of mine) I thought maybe they were dating? 
So we all talked for awhile and later that night Lyndsey called me and said I gave Jordan your number because he was asking about you. The rest is basically history... we hung out our last two years of high school and became great friends and started dating right before my freshman year of college. DF tells everyone he found me on blue light special! Always gets a few laughs....
The Proposal....
He had been really sneaky the whole week before. He had planned something special but wouldn't give me any details. As you get to know me you will find out that I need to know ALL details. I can't help it; I like to have some control. He just told me to pack a bag and he would tell me more when I got to his place. The whole ride there I was on edge. I thought of EVERY possible thing that he could've planned... When I got to his place I had to turn right back around and get in the car again. We drove into the city, Atlanta. I still had no clue where we were going?! We ended up pulling into the W hotel downtown close to World of Coke and the GA Aquarium. We checked in and he was acting really weird and nervous and the front desk kept calling. He said we were waiting for our dinner reservations and they had screwed them up but were going to send someone up to let us know when we could be seated. Well about 20 minutes later there was a knock at the door. Jordan said they gave us free drink cards... When we got to the elevator instead of pushing down he pushed up. I wondered where we were going because the restaurant is on the ground floor. He said he wanted to show me something first. We walked into the pent house.... it was beautiful. There were tea light candles lining the hallway. A table was set with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and a rose. I just started balling.... I knew what was about to happen or at least I hoped! Then he pulled out the ring and started saying something.... I was in a daze. Then he said will you marry me? Silly me.... the first thing I said is "I can't see the ring." He responded with well does that mean yes. I shook my head. I will always remember that moment. He did a great job... I was so impressed.
