Thank you all for your suggestions. I remained "semi" strong. Booked my flight home so I got in on the SW sale for my original date so no adding on days for me! BUT I only say "semi" cuzz I know how easy it is to change dates with SW!!!! :rotfl2:

I can't believe I am going to let this sale go by. But I don't know what I want to do yet so I just can't pull the trigger! There aren't good prices on the days I am already booked at BC. I just went into the office to get everyone's sw rapid rewards numbers but I st back down. Lol this is riculous!

Janet lets hope not. I'm going to try to behave myself.

Marie I see you have stayed Cl at BC twice. Did you like it? I'm planning on staying at BC in May, but I'm not sure about Cl.

Hi Padawans :goodvibes I've only stayed BC CL once, in Feb2011 with DS 15.... I hate to be a downer, when I LOVE CL so much, but BC really underwhelmed us. :sad2: it was a resort I looked forward to but I found CL very small. The food offerings where nice, hard boiled eggs in the AM where a nice added addition. CMs where indifferent, save for a couple who where extremely friendly and helpful. If you spend time on the BC/YC thread, you know the lovely Teena....it was wonderful meeting her. Our first day there we knew it wasn't for us, and briefly thought about switching to AKL CL, ( our tried and true favorite!) :cloud9: but then decided since we only had 4 more days we'd suck it up and stay. This next point is more resort related than CL, but I thought I'd mention it as it played into our overall opinion of the resort....I know many like the walk to Epcot.....We HATED it! After walking sooooo much all day, we seriously found it a chore to walk through FW and all the way back through IGW to our room! It seemed so much extra walking! My feet where in agony by day 2. I also prefered the buses from our previous AKL stays.....very prompt and we where let on and off up close to all park enterances! Even my teen son wanted to go back to AKL over BC....that speaks volumes. But we stuck it out, and now I know it's not for us. I won't say I'll NEVER stay again....but it is not my first choice. I'd be open to trying BWI CL, actually it was my original resort for this trip.....the whole boardwalk area is my style! But I think POLY fits us better this time, and I am really looking forward to its laid-back style/ island feel :cloud9: if
POLY doesn't deliver, at least we know there is one place we can consistently call home.....AKL  CL
I think we will love the POLY too, though....I have a good feeling about it :)
Hope that helps....a little, but sorry I couldn't say it completely WOWED us!

Thanks. That 's how I felt about Yc Cl. My seven year old even said Yc cl was just eh, but he gives Poly CL 2 thumbs up. He was the one that asked me if the Cl at Bc was better so I thought I would ask you.

The offerings at Poly Cl were great for kids and adults. My kids loved the crustables, corn dogs, wings, meatballs, cheeses etc. They had stuff for the more adult palate like sushi, potstickers, hummus, grilled, meats vegetables, salads and other stuff I can't remember. I love the BC/YC resort, but I don't think I'll spend the money on Cl next time we stay there. I'm hoping we like Wl and BW. I have read many great reviews on both resorts.

My cousins in San Diego go to this every year. One of these days I'm going to have to attend with them. :wizard: Now, I hope when they do, they still have the Game of Thrones rickshaws for people to ride in up and down the road in front of the convention center. I must sit on the Iron Throne.

I was going to go, but Macy's blacked out that weekend and I wasn't going to have enough money in time. :sad1: I know I will definitely be going next year as long as I work hard in school and save up enough money! :goodvibes

After a long talk with my mother, she said as long as I go to school full time and work hard, put most of my paycheck in my savings account and save up enough money for the trip, I will get to go to New York for New York Comic Con! I was glad we were able to compromise. :goodvibes

Your trip is soooooo close!!!! Hope you're all packed up!!!

We haven't been to Foxwoods in quite some time....I was pregnant with DD5 the last time we went down there (and we actually went to Mohegan Sun). DH thought my big belly would be good luck at the slots....not so much...

We keep talking about all of the fab things we could buy at Disney if we strike it rich. :lmao:

Packed???:rotfl: Funny, you are. I do have the 7 suitcases out...and I've gone through all my clothes and Faith's clothes. But, that's as far as I have gotten. Will certainly do it this weekend....times a' tickin'!

My sister and brother n law have been to Mohegan Sun a few times, but for some reason they prefer Foxwoods...not sure why. How long does it take for you to get there? It was like maybe an hour drive to Foxwoods from their house....if I remember correctly....it's been years!!!

And lets see....what could we do with all that money...???....hmmmm....visit WDW on a quarterly basis! Presidential Resort suite each visit!!!

Foxwoods is between 2.5 - 3 hours from our house. We used to drive down and come back the same night, so this is the first time we are getting a room. :goodvibes

As for packing...we have a pile of stuff that goes to Disney in the corner of our bedroom. I can't really pack since the girls and I have to fly down to MD 2 weeks from today (our pre-vacation vacation) :goodvibes. Guess I should pack for that one first. :headache:

Perhaps you should;) My problem is deciding what to pack for AKL...I'm going to try and pack our AKL clothes in 2 suitcases and leave the cruise clothes in the car. Who knows?! I'm sure this will all change...

Have to get Stephen's haircut this morning, then hopefully some pool time:beach:

Mornin' RCers,

Happy Friday!:yay:

Mousemommy,
Happy Anniversary! Have a wonderful time at Foxwoods!!:dance3:
Noticed Mickey is hiding on your ticker. 1 month!:cool1:

Jenny,
Thanks so much for the kind words. :goodvibes

Heather,
Your vacation is almost here! Looking forward to some great photos from AKL, and also hearing about your cruise.

Good Morning, RC family!

Happy Anniversary, Candace!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Heather, LOVE the photo of the day! Almost "borrowed" it for my FB timeline, but then saw the ship in the background and fear set in! :rotfl:

Good Morning RC'ers. I came on here last month with my dilema between the YC and WL for our end of August trip and I am proud to say that I made the change!! We were originally booked at WL for all six nights, but for $50 more, we could upgrade to YC!! We decided that since it will be middle of summer and super humid in Orlando that SAB will be awesome!!!:yay: We love WL but feel that it is more of a 'winter' resort of us. We are Fla residents so we will definatley go back and stay there come Dec- Feb. On that note, I am impatiently waiting for the new offers to come out today:confused3- lets hope- If there is something better there.....Maybe another change is in our future. :rolleyes1

A question, I have only stayed at YC once before......Is it faster to take the buses/ walk/ or the boats to HS??

Time to change my ticker!!!!

HELP!!!

Well, sadly I am too late as I would have been the sole RCer to tell you to add on dates...so I could come down and join you for a few days!! (AOA would have been fun to try)....but it is just as well you saved your money for the January trip ...and it means I can save the last 3 days of the non-expiring tkt I've been waiting to use.:thumbsup2 (that sounds convincing, yes???:rotfl:)

I'm afraid to ask but .... what is a banana bag??? And do I really want to know?
Sorry we got all nursey on you ladies.....I mix banana bags on a nightly basis...

What, in the name of God's green earth, is a banana bag?????
Just the name made me laugh, but that's because I thought of a banana hammock
Got that mental pic in my head now Candace....ugh

When your Christmas break. I'm looking at Dec 11-19 is this safe.
Ours doesn't start until Dec 23rd...safe from a NJ standpoint...
Our "Maybe Potentially Official RCing AoA Guinea Pigs" ... okay Mama Linda and Janet, new titles for you? With all this mention of AKL, I'm starting to question my "maybe potential" January plans for AoA...
:rotfl: My DH mentioned scones...looks like our next family trip will be back to AKL CL...

My ticker has changed. I'm doing the kooksplit Wl Cl and BW CL. 4 nights at each. I wasn't planning on Cl, but I thought if the weather is not as warm as last year we'll have the lounge to hang out in. I'm planning on Sea World in May with a week at BC. I was looking at some of the SeaWorld Packages and they are very reasonable. We havent' been to SeaWorld in Orlando so that would be something different to look forward too.

I haven't forgotten about the cruise that will be early Nov next year with a few days at the food and wine. I think I spaced everything out well. It gives me time to work a lot between vacations.
You'll enjoy SeaWorld! The Renaissance is right across the street, so is Hilton Garden Inn..but the Renaissance looks really nice..
Just wanted everyone to know that our Sarah (aka Jungle Cruiser) landed safely in CA!!
 Thanks for the update, I'm so self centered lately...I didn't text her :confused3

I....just....did..it!!!
Congrats on the cruise !!!!!! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Glad she is safe! So Janet - I guess you are the one in charge of posting everyone's whereabouts when they aren't home to post? First pas, now JC! Cut me some slack, I am just learning who is who around here!

So I am really struggling pulling the trigger on these airline tix. It is a great sale but I can't get both ways of my trip to line up unless I only want 3 park days. I even checked Orlando. So I can get to Orlando for $99 or to CA for $150 but getting home is much more. UGH. With 5 tickets to buy it adds up fast. I wonder if it is a sign to just wait until I fully commit to one coast or the other. I was totally planning to buy my airfare today and just wait to book my hotel later.
SW you can change without fees right.....just sayin....;)

I have 3 of the 5 days off. I can't request more than 2 days in a row off, and I can only request 3 unavailable days a month, which stinks, so I have that Friday, Saturday and Monday off and when I can, I'll be changing my availability to not work on Thursdays so I can have that 4th day off and pray I don't get scheduled on that Sunday. Why does this have to be so complicated?
Good luck Hannah...and if you're in NY....you are only an hour from me...janet can come up...dani too :woohoo:

but if I ever do, a RCer meet up IS a definite MUST :) :thumbsup2
Definitely....I think any of us would make that a priority if we hit....Suite style of course...I would book an entire floor at RPC :dance3:

You did it! :yay:

I'm still trying to decide between the eastern and Western carribean cruise. I'm leaning towards the eastern. I know the beaches in St Martin are clothes optional, and I have two boys.:scared1:I know my 10 year old will look away embarrassed, but I'm sure my then 8 year old will stare, and then walk up to the women and ask her whys she's naked. Hmm what to do?
:rotfl: My DDs would say that too....
I posted the 2 bedroom suite photos to the GF thread for anyone that is interested. :goodvibes
It's my next stop.....
Big news today, I bought a dress for DD's wedding. We have a lot going on in the coming months, and I didn't want to have to worry about this. Here is a photo of it:
http://www.dillards.com/product/S.L.-Fashions-Bolero-Jacket-Dress_301_-1_301_503017574

It is a soft sage-ish green, not sure why they describe the color in the write up as silver. I need to have some alterations done, so I'm glad I got it ahead of time. That model must be really tall, it's not that short on me. Once August gets here it's going to be busy straight thru to the wedding. I am so glad to have this taken care of.
I love it!!!

I....just....did..it!!!:boat:

Congrats on booking your cruise!! I would love to take one some day ... the closest I've got is a rum and punch cruise in the bahamas! (MANY years ago) :rotfl2: And I don't remember most of it!!

LOL!!!! Too funny :) I've got to try me some of that POLY punch :) little secret about me, I've never been drunk in my life, I'm a little scared to let go and not be in control of my senses, I always stop at about 3 at the most

Oh, Marie ... more incentive for me to come in Sept (like I need more:)

:goodvibes Glad she is safe! So Janet - I guess you are the one in charge of posting everyone's whereabouts when they aren't home to post? First pas, now JC!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: This is TOO funny ... well, I take my recap job very seriously .... :)

Hahaha, love it. They must get up to lots of mischief then, eh? :thumbsup2 (My guy is more like an evil Ron Weasley. I keep imagining him as the "Ron Who Wore the Horcrux Too Long.")

OMG!! TOO hilarious!!... well, they are not quite the mischief makers as that redheaded pair ....:)

:yay: for Comic Con!! What are the dates??

 I know you can relate...

You said you needed more incentive.....a room in RPC with a Queen bed all to yourself and a daybed for Sam (well you two can fight over that) and all you can drink Diet Coke....HRH & I really don't take up much room or bathroom time :goodvibes
