Morin' Peeps!!

MM: Sorry you are feeling some effects after indulging, but hope you had a blast!! Drink plenty of water (and have some caffeine to perk you up!! Hiding out in a cube is good too :)) Is it bad enough to warrant sunglassess?? :teeth:

Feel better soon!

Good deal on the Photopass CD! It will be nice knowing its prepaid and you can order & edit all th pix you desire!

I did grab the Kidani one bedroom Savanna View for 4 nights (with 40% off:goodvibes) - still 10 nights over at the other Lodge.

Heather (AKA, hstrickland) doesn't know anything about this, so don't mention it to her because then she'll have to say, "I told you so..." And then I'll have to sheepishly mumble something like, "You were right..."

Have to get DD up now for her second to last day of middle school.

Well, Kook, no surprises here! :goodvibes Congrats on scoring the room (with that great discount!) We loved Kidani last year!

You're going to love Photopass!!! We always do it...you can never have too many pictures!!! And Pirates League is a blast!! We did it 2 years in a row. Your kids will love it. Here are the links to our review of PL...

Pirates League 2010

Pirates League 2011 Part 1

Pirates League 2011 Part 2

Heather: Your pix (and subjects:)) are fabulous!!

She is so precious!! Wow...is there any WDW subject you don't have a little trip report link to?? I love it!!!:thumbsup2

I don't think so! :)

[
Hmmm. Has any RCer stayed at AoA yet? Who is going to be our guinea pig?!

Well, not that it means that much on THIS thread ... but I have 2 ressies back to back weekends for MNSSHP. :cool1:

If you haven't picked up on it, yet....I'm a bit obsessed with photographs:rolleyes: Last year when we got ready for the trip report, we had over 3000 pictures...like my sister tells me..."you're ridiculous, Heather." What can I say?? :rolleyes1

REALLY??? we couldn't tell! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the info about the smores!!! Didn't know they did that. The kids did that last year at FW with Chip n Dale and they loved it!! Do they do it every night??

Heather ... we did this last year ... I think it's nightly (at least at Kidani). The girls really enjoyed it! :goodvibes

basketlacey: As far as MNSSHP and th PL .. I say go for it!! Being a pirate is acceptable at any age, bet your 13 yr will get into it with your other 2! :goodvibes

We have never purchased the CD before. We usually just get the photopass card from the first photographer we see (usually in front of the Castle at MK) and we just get all of our cards on that and then go home and order the Photobook and some of the pics we want. I guess I never really saw the need to order the CD...but, with the Photopass +, we can get our 1900 PF, Akershus, Chef Mickeys photos...all ride photos, and Pirates League photos, so I am psyched about that!!! :woohoo:

It will be interesting to edit them all, I think...I am still going to get our photobook though, I love making those!
We have gotten the photopass cd the last 3 years and I love it. I love being able to edit all of the pics with borders and such. Here is a tip though - as you are editing them, save them as the size you want to print them. If you don't, the borders can get cut off. Learned this the hard way. So all of my favorites that I think I might want 5x7s or 8x10s end up being on my cd multiple times in multiple sizes.

I always paid $99 for the cd in advance which seemed like a great deal. Not sure what I will do this year with the price increase but I will probably cave :rotfl:

So are you leaning towards onsite at DL?? Just my 2 cents....but I think I would do onsite. There's something so magical about being on property. Can't wait to hear your decision....good luck with airfare!!!

Yep Smores are every night. That was really fun. It was one of the first things we did after check in. Also, they do a movie every night right behind the bar area. That was perfect. We had 6 adults, 5 kids. Adults sat by the bar and enjoyed a beverage or two while the kids watched a movie. We even brought out their dinner one night from the food court and they watched and ate.

Definitely leaning towards DL onsite. I don't think they have PL though! BOO!
Good Morning to all of you... :goodvibes So much chatter going on, so early... you east coasters are at it bright and early. ;)

Excellent idea, thanks! She'd love a Halloween pin, too. She's 5 going on 20.

:woohoo: Very exciting! I haven't a clue about the hotels out there but I'm popcorn:: about your planning...

..........

Hmmm. Has any RCer stayed at AoA yet? Who is going to be our guinea pig?!

I have a 7 yo dd going on 20 so I feel your pain!:rotfl: She got into pin trading last year and we had an absolute blast with it!

Good morining all. Not even going to try to catch up right now. 15 pages or so in 2 days. I guess my trip is officially going to be changed again to Dec. My dh has a 2 week training class "sometime" in late Sept or Oct. He's not sure when, but he would prefer not to plan any Oct. trips. I can't decide between GF/BC split (yes he will stay there and be happy about if I put my foot down)or Wl cl/bc split. I can't decide. I have no idea whats available at interline rate. Availability may make the choice for me. Any thoughts?

My DD (newly 14 :)) is BIG time into pin trading... (her ol' mom is kind of fascinated too!!) :goodvibes

Have already purchased 50 pins on Ebay (should be arriving soon). We are geaing up for August!!

We will be initiating my 7 year old grand niece into the art of pin trading ... sure my DD will give her pointers (as well as check out the CMs with green lanyards in case DC needs to do a little trading on her behalf ... :rolleyes1)

For December, I like the WL CL/BC CL option :goodvibes WL is beautiful and majestic, especially at the holidays! :cool1:

pas I know you would sis! ;) I will have to decide. Since it's a king I could actually have both kids in the bed... Hmmmm some good old family bonding time, or spend the almost $500 on something else. Tough decision!
 Can't think of money better spent!

I really like the idea of a MK/Epcot split. Seems to make planning ADRs so easy. Of course using that theory no AK ... unless of course you do a AK/Epcot/MK (WL) split. Oh I'm no help at all!
:rotfl:

pas, DO NOT give up or change RPC for you and HRH. You two will absolutely love it! It will be such a special bonding time and she will be the happiest young lady!!! Your DH doesn't care where you stay in August. Save the money there, you can have a drink, stroll the grounds at any resort...
When you come back from Cali....my GF ticker will be untouched! No worries!

Hey ladies .... guess what? I get a TIARA for my DL Diva trip .... once I am true royalty there will be no living with me!!!
Love it!

Love it! Exactly what I was thinking! Queen Mother Grumpy Grandma!
Technically...you ARE the Mother of a Queen...so Queen Mother is fitting :dance3:
THE RC QUEEN HAS SPOKEN :worship:
The RC Princess has too

PAS: I say either POLY as HRH keeps hinting at ;) ..... I would love a couple friendly faces in the lounge/ or pool/beach side :) .......OR, stay on the monorail loop and do your RPC as you have booked, that looks amazing too :) and you are only a quick tram trip away for a meet up // perhaps a fruity concoction on the beach for wishes one night :thumbsup2 or a meet up on MNSSHP day (Sept 30) if you decide to go.....we are renting a Cabana that day, so mostly lazing around the resort for most of Sept 30 afternoon (10-2pm) before hitting MK at 4 for some counter service dinner and the party :)
A stop by your cabana sounds lovely! We will definitely meet up!

Kind of wish I could change resorts to CSR but then I'd lose free dining. Too bad my DBf didn't get his financial aid package till after the FD window ended

It definitely gives us an excuse to plan another trip though :thumbsup2
Welcome! Did you book FD? You can change resorts as long as its available with the discount, even if the discount expired...all good!
I went out with some girlfriends after work to do a "wine tasting". It's always so much fun while you're out having fun, but right now I'm wishing I had a little less fun! it's going to be a long day....
Hydrate hydrate hydrate...hope today flies by for you Candace!

The August Anniversary Great Lodge Split Stay :yay::yay::yay:

Speaking of the two coasts. I am so completely overwhelmed thinking about DL. I have priced packages at Disneyland Hotel and at a Good Neighbor hotel. Of course on-site is about double the price. But I think this will be the one and only time we do this. Its so strange to be looking at everything and not know my way around so to speak! I really want to book airfare today during the SW sale so I guess I am going to commit!
I would have to do onsite for my 1st DL stay :goodvibes

Good Morning to all of you... :goodvibes So much chatter going on, so early... you east coasters are at it bright and early.

Mama Linda AKA Grumpy Grandma has my vote....or Janet in Sept (unless she bunks with HRH and I)

When do your kids get out for Christmas break?????????

MM The secret to drinking is lots of water. A glass of water for every drink.Pas I saw on the news last night that they have clinics in LA where you can get a banana bag after a night of over indulgence. 300.00 dollars a bag. Something to consider after my next Cl stay.

I'm afraid to ask but .... what is a banana bag??? And do I really want to know? :scared1:

What, in the name of God's green earth, is a banana bag????? :rotfl:
Just the name made me laugh, but that's because I thought of a banana hammock

It's an Iv fluid that we give in the hospitals. Its full of vitamins and it's yellow. We give them a lot to alcoholics. I thought it was funny that movie stars were going to clinics to get these bags after a "hard weekend". The first thing that popped into my head was I could really use one one these after a week of "Poly punch".

When your Christmas break. I'm looking at Dec 11-19 is this safe.

I'll take it your throwing this out there as a general question...
I think that you should be good that timeframe...I would imagine that most schools have their break between Christmas and New Years...that's what our schools do...

I knew it had to be something more (for $300 bucks!) than my initial thought of yellow banana shaped barf bag!

Seems safe to me ... families may be start arriving at the end of your vacation. Our school district has school thru Friday 12/21; and off 12/24 to 1/2.

Thanks guys. I booked Dec 10-18. Schools here get out Dec 21. People from AZ don't go to wdw so I wanted to make sure the east coast was the same. We were there Dec 11-20 last year. Parks were empty until the 18th. The 19th at DHS was star wars weekend x10. 60 minute wait for TOT by 10 am. I don't know how people do Christmas week. :confused3

Hello ladies! :wave2: Just back from my torture session with Ron Weasley. (My personal trainer seriously looks like a grown up Ron Weasley. :lmao:)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I immediately thought "banana hammock" too. Great minds? Or some sort of mind, indeed... :rotfl2:

Oh yeah. I'm going to miss that this next trip! That was good... good stuff. Gotta go find that recipe again. :thumbsup2

Our "Maybe Potentially Official RCing AoA Guinea Pigs" ... okay Mama Linda and Janet, new titles for you? ;) With all this mention of AKL, I'm starting to question my "maybe potential" January plans for AoA...

My ticker has changed. I'm doing the kooksplit Wl Cl and BW CL. 4 nights at each. I wasn't planning on Cl, but I thought if the weather is not as warm as last year we'll have the lounge to hang out in. I'm planning on Sea World in May with a week at BC. I was looking at some of the SeaWorld Packages and they are very reasonable. We havent' been to SeaWorld in Orlando so that would be something different to look forward too.

I haven't forgotten about the cruise that will be early Nov next year with a few days at the food and wine. I think I spaced everything out well. It gives me time to work a lot between vacations.

Hey RC Peeps!!

Just wanted everyone to know that our Sarah (aka Jungle Cruiser) landed safely in CA!! :cool1:

Hello ladies! :wave2 Just back from my torture session with Ron Weasley. (My personal trainer seriously looks like a grown up Ron Weasley. :lmao:)

Love Ron .... he is SO likeable!!

Maybe my DD would throw more enthusiam into working out if I hired a George Weasley lookalike (my DD and BFF are aka George & Fred Weasley :))

Congrats Padawans it all sounds great :thumbsup2.... although, are we in for much RCing only to land back at this decision??? :teeth: Whatever, we'll be along for the ride!!
