Hi Peeps! Hopelessly behind as usual ..... :)

Well its been a LONG, busy, crazy week. THANKS to all of you for the Birthday wishes for my DD. The girls had a great time at the Japanese restaurant !

Sam’s been down this week as her BFF is moving away, leaving this Saturday. We are making plans to get the girls together in July, I’ve also been helping a friend put together a memory book for the graduating class at my old elementay school. She was really behind and I helped her with half the book!! A lot of work, but it is fun (but put in some loooong nights !)

Pas: :bday:party: to your DH!!! It was great catching up with you earlier today ... You willl ROCK your inteview!

Happy that you all felt the POP love! :hippie:! And that not so friendly CM??? …. he needed a Mango Slushie bigtime!

BTW, i wear size 8 shoes ... Sarah agree with you having trouble with finding our size .....BTW thanks to you I have the "Boo to You" song in my head all this week! Love the CD!:thumbsup2

Heather: Fantastic magnets! You are so creative … so glad you are both on the DIS regularly, missed you and those great pix!

GG: Happy that the surgery went well for your DH.

On my way back to work, spoke with Christine and Magic!! Got 2 for the price of 1! They are having lunch in St. Pete's!!

Kook: Just read your post .... Go for AoA / YC CL the 2/4 split! and I LOVE the Cars theme! It was tempting to move over to a FS for our Aug ressie, but there will be another time for that. :goodvibes Plus with your new dates .... someone you know will be over the bridge from you!!! :)

Missed SOO many posts, and today is NOT the day to get catch up! Hope everyone's been well, planning and changing lots of ADRs, Dates, resorts, etc.

I've missed you all! Sorry I can't quote everyone!

:goodvibes

Pas That's a good discount, and it's value season. Poly Cl.:cloud9:
Poly wasn't available. well CL wasn't. For less than Poly I got AKL CL  Now I have to work on airfare  Came close to CR...very close

WDTC update:

All this hemming and hawing I was doing could have been minimized had I called CRO earlier:rolleyes1

Savanna View Kidani is not available from 8/20-24 (with our discount) and I have to have an SV, so that's out of contention.

AKL/CL also isn't available.

CR/BLT isn't available.

So, out of my 4-nighter list, YC/CL is available - even Lagoon View:). This may be shaping up to be an Epcot/MK split again like spring break:scratchin

WL/CL is available from 8/24-9/1 so I was relieved to hear that:goodvibes

I can't wait - I love your TRs and ALL 3000 photos!!!!

Helloooooo? What a great birthday present for your DH - a booking at AKL;). And, with CL, your SV is automatic:goodvibes

I only jog on a treadmill and even so, my IT Band on one leg was hurting more than usual so just like you, I started cross training on the elliptical. Today, I only jogged 4 miles then did 2 miles on the elliptical and no more IT Band pain:thumbsup2
Heather's TR was so awesome....I fell in love with Bay lake just from her pictures....I booked AKL! D will have his "secluded, I am not in Disney...and I will be in Disney...gettin my Disney love back" Does this mean I will miss you by DAYS>>>> You'll get to see Janet tough, and Dani still? Magic too...who else did I miss for August.

That's great Christine & Magic could meet up..in such a beautiful place too! I was very glad to hear from you today. Knew you were busy, but I worry..it's what I do...now off to shower to be fresh & pretty for my birthday big guy

Really??? I am gone for 2 hours and the chattiness blows up!!! :lmao:

Back to work now after DD's school play. It was cute! Now, just an hour and a half more here and WEEKEND!!! :cool1: (although DD8 has 3 games this weekend...)

Anywho, Jeanette - I really love the idea of AKL CL for you, and you've done it before right???

padawans/KOOK~ agreed, elliptical is the best way to go. That's what I use. I tore my meniscus back in college during a long jump at a track meet...I refused the surgery at the time and did physical therapy...it probably wasn't the best idea, I should have gotten it fixed. I really can't run for the life of me now...but the elliptical works. I'd be scared to see a recent MRI of my knee! :scared:

Padawans...Marathoner, huh?! Awesome!!:thumbsup2 I signed up and paid for the Princess Half last February, but unfortunatley my orthopedic told me I had to stop running altogether...the cartilage is shot in my knees along with arthritis in the left knee....I turn 40 and fall apart:laughing: Ridiculous! Have you ever run any of the Disney races?? If not...you should. I'de cheer you on:thumbsup2 It would give me an excuse to go to Disney again;)

Pas....:dance3: for AKL CL....of course I do have my doubts. You still have 2 months to go which means 60 days of possible changes.

Kook....no luck, huh? Too bad CR and AKL aren't available. So I'm afraid to even ask....is AoA still in the running?popcorn::

Janet...glad to 'see' you:goodvibes

:dance3: for AKL/CL!! Thanks for thinking of me ....

For August, Kook and I will be there same times :goodvibes but sadly will miss Magic, Dani and you.

Hi Heather! So happy you are back on the DIS regular!

Janet...glad to 'see' you:goodvibes

I started running at age 15. That was.... uh 26 years ago. Gosh I'm getting old. I know what you mean about turning 40. In my 20's I could just jump out of bed and run. Now it takes 3 cups of coffee and 20 minutes of warm up to get the kinks out. My knees are good. I think I'm biomechanically designed to be long distance runner. You have given me an idea for another trip. I think I could do a half marathon. If you need a excuse for another trip your welcome to be my cheerleader.:goodvibes Don't worry Pas will change. She may end up at AKL CL after it's all said and done, but there will be 50 changes in between.;)

Wow, this thread is moving quickly!

pas, Happy Birthday to your DH! :cake: I gather your August trip is currently at AKL? Sounds perfect, but I suspect there may be some changes ahead ;)

Janet, :wave2: Glad you are enjoying the CD! I saw your new ticker, when are you going in the fall? Sounds like you are busy being a great MOM!

KOOK, so let's see if I am up to date. (1) new dates, with an additional day :yay: (DA club ;)) (2) last 6 days at CL WL (3) Undecided on the other 4 days? (4) Your post on the YC thread caught my eye...no SAB view for you. What are your other options? No BLT,CR availability...do I have that right?

Wow, a 7 month baby when you were stationed in Korea. My DD, who is receiving her Phd from Stanford next week was a 7 month baby. Spent a month in the hospital, infant respirator and so on.

Dates and resorts are all officially changed:

8/18-20: AoA CARS. This will be our first Value.

8/20-24: YC/CL/LV. This will DH's first time at the YC and our first LV there.

8/24 - 9/1: WL/CL. Where else!!

I have not one single ADR, so I know what I'll be doing after dinner:surfweb: (yeesh, it took me a while to find that smilie - how did it get waaaaay down there?)

I can't believe you check into POP the same day we check into AoA Cars:yay:. Do we meet on the bridge? I'm coming over for a King Cupcake and I'd be happy to give you the nickel AoA tour.

Congratulations on AKL/CL! Has Don emailed yet? All those times I was booked there (umm, but have yet to stay CL:rolleyes1), he was always such a great IPO concierge.

Torn meniscus? OUCH! That'll put you out of commission for a long time.

HA! Not only is it running, but it crossed the finish line, O ye, of little faith, doubt no more, the dark deed is done.

Janet what are your dates? We are there until the 17th!
Now that I have to arrive one week later, I miss you (and your cabana) by one day:headache:

I think you should do the half! It's a great excuse to book another trip;)

I don't know how my DH does it. He's 48 and runs 6x week and only has a sip of water before running and never stretches:sad2:. And, 5 days a week he's running by 0600. Jogging together on vacation ends up one big compromise with our diverse "styles," with me doing most of the compromising:rolleyes:

You must have been so worried having your DD in the NICU for a month - and now look at her - she's amazing. Mine only spent one week and mercifully didn't have any complications, just a little jaundice and light therapy for a couple of days. I was really nervous bringing her home at 5 pounds, but they thought she was big. Maybe to a Korean she was big?

That's too funny that you caught me posting on the YC thread. I hope you approve of the revamped trip:flower3:. Any chance you'll be there before 9/1?

That's my problem...I'm not biomechanically designed to run, seriously. But...have been running off and on since college. I've always had to wear inserts in my running shoes because my feet pronate (over pronation) so you can imagine the damage I've done...unintentionally of course. Oh well...that's life;) My DS10, almost 11, really likes to run...says he's going to try out for track next school year. I just don't want him to damage his knees. You should try the Princess Half. It looks really, really cool!!! Mostly all women...some dressed up, some not. You run through the castle, through Epcot. Watch some YouTube videos on it:thumbsup2 You can get great discounts on resorts if you are registered...but only select resorts. Let me know if you decide to do it.

Kook I like your choices, and I love long vacations. :thumbsup2 I think you will like the Yc cl. The customer service is very good. A little too good for my taste. I don't really like being waited on hand and foot. I'm not used to that. It makes me a little uncomfortable. I really don't want my kids to get used to that. They're too spoiled already. I preffered the Poly and HRH where the kids had to clean up after themselves. I do love the resort. I'm a long distance runner my husband was on the track team so it's like the tortoise and the hare running together. My 8 year old likes to run with me sometimes. He also has those fast twitch muscles. I can't keep up with him. It's embarrassing to be outpaced by a 8 year old.

Jenny Congrats on the cruise. Dec should be a great time. The ship should be decorated along with the resorts. I really wan't to sail on the Fantasy next year. The prices are pretty good Sept/Oct. Of course thats hurricane season. It seems so far away and I'm impatient so I settled for the 4 day in May, but I may change it to the Fantasy in October 2013.

Jennyjinx, yay for booking a cruise! You now have more than one trip to look forward to!!

KOOK, I wasn't stalking you. I went to the resorts page and saw that you were the last poster on the YC thread. Sounds like the trip is shaping up. Do I remember correctly that you preferred the Cars theming at AoA more than the LM? I gather you have stayed at the YC, but not your DH? We prefer the BC, closer to EPCOT :goodvibes, but it's not a strong preference.

All this talk of pregnancies and births reiterates a huge reason why I do not want kids. :crazy2: :sad2:

The last thing I wanted to do at age 22 was have a kid. It's ok not to want to have kids at age 22.:) Enjoy your youth.:thumbsup2 When your ready you'll know. I wasn't ready until my 30's. Kids are wonderful and so worth all the labor pain.:goodvibes
