Kook.....
The Queen of Club Level goes Value
I want pictures....lots, and lots of pictures!!!!
Seriously...congrats on your new changes! 3 great resorts
You crack my crown,
Heather.
Who's the one who stayed Poly/CL and is staying AKL/CL? I've only stayed peasant level at those resorts
Yes, many photos and comments and observations will follow my stay.

Sneaking in over here to post, so. can't. wait. for.
Kook's AoA review!
No need to sneak or lurk around here - we're a friendly bunch - welcome back!
BTW, how is your DH doing? I remember that scare he gave us all (was it last year or the year prior?) Is he OK?
Just wanted to share....tomorrow I am booking that cruise baby!!! Oh yeah!! Can I get a whoop whoop?
Ok, so yes it's only a 3 day Bahamas, and yes it's not until Dec 2013... But it's all good!
We will be adding a 4 or 5 night stay at WDW....so to be continued !
I am a happy girl!
Is it booked yet? Have fun planning!!!
Kook I like your choices, and I love long vacations.

I think you will like the Yc cl. The customer service is very good. A little too good for my taste. I don't really like being waited on hand and foot. I'm not used to that. It makes me a little uncomfortable. I really don't want my kids to get used to that. They're too spoiled already. I preffered the Poly and HRH where the kids had to clean up after themselves. I do love the resort. I'm a long distance runner my husband was on the track team so it's like the tortoise and the hare running together. My 8 year old likes to run with me sometimes. He also has those fast twitch muscles. I can't keep up with him. It's embarrassing to be outpaced by a 8 year old.
DD and I stayed YC/CL in 2010. The lounge is so small (at least compared with WL), but the staff were very nice and helpful and everything was neat and tidy. I hope that DH likes it, but he comforted me in saying that if we didn't like it, he knows I can get us moved to another resort in a flash
KOOK, I wasn't stalking you. I went to the resorts page and saw that you were the last poster on the YC thread.

Sounds like the trip is shaping up. Do I remember correctly that you preferred the Cars theming at AoA more than the LM? I gather you have stayed at the YC, but not your DH? We prefer the BC, closer to EPCOT

, but it's not a strong preference.
I hope I didn't use the term "stalking" - such negative connotations. I love that you caught me mid-change, it means we're all looking out for each other

. We might change often, but our changes are filled with love

.
Since you're booked BC/Deluxe, aren't you subscribed to the BC/YC thread? Do you post there much?
Yes, I booked CARS - love the more subtle colors and retro 50s feel and those neon lights are so neat at night. LM is actually just regular rooms and not suites. I've never been a "princess" fan which has been carried down genetically to DD.
I prefer YC because the decor is more appealing to me and the lobby is so much more quiet and calm than at the BC. I think BC appeals more to families than YC, so I think that in general, the YC and the lounge is a little calmer.
Ok...newbie here so please forgive my naïveté .
You can change your reservation? Is there a fee?
Also, if we got ours booked in time for
free dining could we also use any pins or %off discounts in addition?
We're a fam of 5 (kids 14, 4, 3) and booked at POR but hubby REALLY wants a sep sleeping area for the kids so that we can stay up later and have "us" time.
I just was trying to find the most frugal vacation for 5 and POR allowed us the Regular Dining Plan instead of counter service only.
Help! So unsure!

newbie resort changer!
I know your change question has been answered, but have you also considered booking two adjoining rooms? Kids in a two queen room and mom & dad right next door? AoA FS sounds perfect for you and your family though. But if you prefer POR's location and/or amenities, then I would just price out two rooms.
I don't like kids. They annoy me so much, which is odd I guess because I love WDW, but I guess I'm so immersed in Disney that I don't focus on other people. I'm also not really good with them. I have the feeling I won't ever want kids or ever be ready.
Which I'm perfectly ok with. I can't say the same thing for DBF though.
Yeah, kids are the worse

. Like adults, they have their good days and bad. I started student teaching at 20 and thought I would never want my own. I'm an only child and so is my husband. But as I got older, I started seeing more of the positive aspects, and less of the negative. Like
MAGIC said, it's always good to leave all your options on the table and not close any doors. The way you feel about something at 22, is not always the way you'll feel at 32.
Kook, it was either the hair gel & gold chains on the men... or the license plates on the cars in the parking lots... that told me where the majority of DIS-ers resided. I can't remember which.
It was sooo nice to make it a 3-way today! Hey, speaking of 3-ways:
WDWKOOK and
Janet -- Sunday Aug 19 midday????
I admit I am shocked by the AoA pick!

Such varied resorts will make for a fun trip. Happy for you that all were available as you wished.
Hey Hannah! How's Macy's? I am kidless and old (well, old to you

anyway) and I say err on the side of kid when you get older... like 10 years or so down the road. If in doubt, go for it anyway and figure it out along the way! If you get too old like me to start, and then something goes south, you may not get another chance.

You can spot them a mile away. I love when guests from NJ are in the laundry room - I find it so entertaining. They have so much to chat about and they love to complain, like me.
Robinkeith 1 HI THERE!!! and
You most certainly can change your resort reservations as many times as you would like until you are 45 days away from your trip if you booked a package deal. If you booked under free dining (like I have) you may continue to switch around your reservations and you will not loose your discount. iF A better deal comes out, you cans apply the new deal but you cannot use 2 deals on one reservation.
A 1 bedroom at Kidani or Bay Lake towers will give you a queen sleeper and an sleeper chair in the living room and a queen bed in the separate bed room. We enjoyed staying at Kidani a few years back. The Fort Wilderness cabins are also an option because they have a bedroom with bunk beds and a queen bed and they have a murphy bed in the front room. You would still get the regular dining plan at either.
Another option would be the Art of Animation suites. You can upgrade to the regular dining plan if you don't want the quick service that goes along with a value.
Either way, welcome and enjoy changing. We can all help with whatever questions you may have about the various resorts as we research, switch, research some more and switch again.....It's what we do over here on the RC thread...
step!
Not trying to nitpick - just for the record, the one bedroom Kidani and Bay Lake Tower villas have kings in the master and the FW cabins have only a double in the bedroom.
Are you all ready for your vacation? Looks like next week is going to be a slooooooow academic week for DD. Are you doing your grades this weekend? Looks like we'll both be at the YC? Do our dates overlap?
