I know....I actually looked at the job description AND qualifications....this IS the perfect job for me. Part time EVERY FRIDAY/SATURDAY...I have the ER experience, I am bilingual,good customer service skills (I can bring my DAISY award). If only it was in Fla. I could fly back and forth... My dream job....

I thought it sounded perfect for you too, PAS what a dream job! if you did it, would DH be able to relocate to a new job easily?? Who wouldn't want to get up and go to work everyday in the Mouse's house!???!!!

It seems they dont adjust pricing to the slow economy ,but what company does?Its just part of the the every day grind.

On another note. 3 day park hoppers at Dl 970.00 for my family. Hmm 10 day hoppers plus water parks is 1500 at WDW. I always feel like a get more for my money in Orlando, and I don't have to deal with traffic. The cm told me that since my last visit they started charging 15.00 a day for parking, but the good news is no more resort fees. I'm starting to remember why I stopped vacationing in Cali.

The Premier pass went up to 850. I won't be doing that. 1 year ago I went to Guest services and asked how much the premier pass was. It was 700.00. In June it went up to 750.00. Now its 850.00. In my opinion that's a huge price increase in 1 year.

When I was at Ak last week. I was buying lunch and the cm asked me if I wanted to donate money to the animal. I said excuse me, but I spent 10,000 on this vacation do you think you could use some of that money for the animals. The cm looked at me dumbfounded. Disney asking for donations really?

Ok I'll stop complaining. I'm going to go put the deposit down on my cruise before they raises the prices. Still not sure about Dl.

Happy Sunday RC'rs!!!

Just checking in to say hi! It's 90 degrees right now and DH and I are sitting on the deck watching the girls run through the sprinkler. We participated in a walk a thon today in the scorching heat, and poor DD8 has softball practice in a few hours!

But...just relaxing for minute.

We did manage to get to the store and finally secure footwear for our trip. Usually we are all about sneakers at Disney but in July heat, we were thinking not so much...so I researched sandals (almost as much as I research resorts ) and now the whole family has found a pair of Keen sandals that they love. Hopefully, through heat and downpours, our feet will stay happy this July.

I know Disney prices are just crazy! And why should an ap at DL be more than one for WDW. The resorts on average are also more .... no values for Calif!!!! But I still think you should make your trip here next year ..... just think Newport Beach and Catalina!

Actually it's this year Sept 25th to be exact. WDW next year. I told my son we were going... oops. He wants an angry bird birthday and wants to decorate the hotel room with angry bird decorations. I think my big mouth committed myself. I did come across some good news. I can get discounted tickets through my employer or my husbands employer. The corporate discount rate is 230.00 dollars less for my family than buying through Disney. Anybody that lives near Disneyland and wants to buy tickets check with your HR deptartment first.

I agree with you about the Dl Ap. I don't get how they can cost as much as WDW. That carsland better be something special. Oh yeah Catalina is I haven't been since I was a kid. I'll have to add a return visit to my bucket list.

I'd love to ditch work tomorrow...but the guilt would kill me...they asked me to come in early, I declined and magically my hours changed on the schedule...WTH I actually asked my co-workers what would hppen if I just started freaking out and throwing stuff like the patients do

Then later 2 nurses debated just walking out...I told them not worth losing your license...at least I'm not alone in my misery...hope it's better after some Florida magic

Janet you brought back a wonderful memory to me this am, in fact I am still smiling thinking of it. *TL was newly opened and both my DS were anxious to try out the HumungaKawowBunga(sp)?
My eldest almost fell as he went to stand up at the end and the cast member standing there said " Get your bearings young man" with this Aussie *accent. We all heard the CM's remark (DH & I) were sitting in the viewing stand and Jason had just come down the other side of the ride. Jason loved teasing his older brother about that day every time we went to TL

pas, just get through these next few days and then relax and enjoy your wonderful vacation. You are such a gifted nurse, you should be able to find a better working situation. Janet and I knew better than to tempt you, however, should you change your mind we are meeting in the afternoon! After you return and I return from CA we are going to kidnap you and so we can get together.

I haven't even started to catch up on this thread, but read the last couple of pages and am in tears over some of your troubles! I am so sorry for those going thru these trials! Like Jungle Cruiser, well, I couldn't said it any better. She took the words right out of my mouth as well of my heart.

I am no longer on chemo, not for the last 2 1/2 weeks, tube out of stomach, but I landed back in hospital because of internal bleeding again. They managed to stop it, got blood replaced and I am back home ( on Tuesday.)

No matter what, we ARE GOING to WDW in JUNE~
I don't know if you ladies know this, but JC and pas keep me going, I love them both dearly!


And I continue to contemplate replacing our last night at the BC CL with the GF SugarLoaf.
(only RPC standard available and that's not happening right now.)

My ADRs have been generally set, but I was just trying to see what availability was out there for Aug 19 at different locations just in case I can stay a little longer after check out... Yes, Keen is the brand. They are quite amphibious, lol! Good for wet and dry conditions...full foot coverage yet still cool. Good for not getting toes run over by rogue strollers or ECVs (or for gripping underneath the seat in front of you on wild rides per DH ). They seem super comfortable...will be spending the next 55 days breaking them in.

That's the problem. DH works for a utility, he'd never get what he has now. And he's got 20 yrs in...but (not that I'd wish for a layoff) if his situation changes...it may..we may be outta NJ for good

A rainy rainy day today. Glad you & Sarah had a great lunch...I missed you both too. Work wasn't horrible...and I only left 45 min late

As for Poly...haven't checked in...second guessing...BC on my mind...

The trip to WDW in October may be canceled ---- because by that time ---- we might be living there It was discussed yesterday, we're both ready and targeting for September. I am going to go down solo sometime in June to hunt for an apartment. We haven't told family/friends yet, so besides my Disbride's FB group--you're the first ones to know!! The trip to WDW in October may be canceled ---- because by that time ---- we might be living there It was discussed yesterday, we're both ready and targeting for September. I am going to go down solo sometime in June to hunt for an apartment. We haven't told family/friends yet, so besides my Disbride's FB group--you're the first ones to know!! I'm trying to get my June trip in order today, so I won't be around much. Happy Monday

When we retired I thought about moving to FL but no way for DH! I think the summer weather would be a bit too much for me .... of course it's hot here. But in the end my family is here in CA.

Speaking of family .... for all of you who were so supportive of my mother/daughter relationship .... I had lunch with my two granddaughters yesterday and that all went well. Even talked about getting together again. So in the end this might be for the best. My daughter and I don't have to deal with the drama and stress that we seem to bring on for each other and I still get to see my grandkids. I'm at least sure that 3 of the 5 want to see DH and myself. So all is GOOD!!!

PasThat time change would kill me. I'm just now back to normal. My dh may get transferred in the next 2 years. Miami and Mco are places he could go. I have had so many travel nurses tell me not to go to Florida. The pay is much lower than Arizona and the working conditions worse. I can't imagine working conditions being worse then here. We did actually look at houses one day on our trip. The property taxes were a shocker. Despite all that I would still love to live there. I just love Florida. So much fun stuff to do. 2 more days. Have a great trip you deserve it. It seems like you work a lot. Will you be able to relax a little on the hours now that this trip is done?

LuvIt's great that you are so mobile. I think I am tied to this house for the rest of my life. I hate the thought of being a landlord, but I think that is my only option if we ever have to move. Nothing sells out here. Whenever we stay at BW or BC/YC we meet locals on weekend trips. I wouldn't let living there stop you from enjoying the resorts. Great descision.

Wow Deena!! Well now is the time to do it in your life before you get settled with kids and a house, etc.. Looking forward to your updates!

All this Orlando move talk has me (like Sheila) just a little green with envy ... although can't see myself living there at this point in my life .... but what I would give to work for Disney some day!
