My, my, my what a chatty bunch you are this morning!!! :goodvibes

It's a beautiful day here in NH. :cool1:
DD8 has softball games today and tomorrow so that's where we'll be. :)

I did manage to book another non-Disney trip this morning, from 6/29-7/3, I am taking my girls down to MD (where my mom lives). I was able to score pretty good airfare and couldn't pass it up. It will be a trip of many purposes. So the the girls can see grandma....we are going to the Harbor Aquarium....and we are going to visit DC one of the days. ::yes::

Most importantly, we'll be able to see my new nephew who will be there by then...my sister is due very soon!! First boy in the family for awhile!!!

When we get back, we'll have to get ready for the big wedding that the girls and DH are in on the 6th...and from the wedding day...it will be 9 days till Disney!!! :cool1:

I can't believe that I am going to have 3 weeks off from work in July, and all of them will be out of state on vacation!!! :goodvibes

First, I just want to give you a HUGE hug.

It is plain awful to have a miserable job! Especially for you because it requires a tender heart and outstanding skill. To have management treat their nurses so carelessly...well... another BIG hug, sweetie.

On the bright side - soon you'll be out of the place, on the road with your gorgeous and wonderful family (not sure about mil ;) ) and all that crap will be history....let yourself be immersed in the magic...the beach, US and of course, Poly CL. I cannot wait for the first happy text and photo!

Oh, and I just love the plans...I am such a road trip nut...wish I could go too.

Sheila, I know just what you mean how a memory comes back like that ...it is a wonderful, warm fuzzy feeling...and reminds us how close our boys are to us all the time - even now.

Sarah, you are such an inspiration to me. My cancer was diagnoised in Sept of 2010 and although radiation was recommended, I declined. Knowing the little I do of your journey, you inspire me to be courageous and look for the rainbow wherever we can. Every day I pray this round of chemo will be easy on you and you will be in remission for a very long time.:flower:

Ya know, y'all make it extremely difficult not to be totally GREEN - being able to meet for lunch...sigh...while I'm thrilled for the times you'll get together, I know I speak for many of us who wish we could all be closer. ::yes::

Just last night Janet and I were talking about an RC NYC weekend trip. It would be easy for me to fly up (my broom works well with enough notice) and I miss NY so much! Imagine - a Broadway show, a visit to Lady Liberty, fantastic food (esp Italian!)...oh, what great memories could be made.:goodvibes

This is one of those time I wish I had a huge bank account to do with as I please, or one of those CC's I parted with a couple of years ago. Truly, how I dislike giving Disney a penny more. :upsidedow

Wouldn't that be fabulous!! :cool1:

One of these days I really am going to call on you to meet me at DL for a long weekend - GCH or DLH ...both work for me. DL is home and it has been far too long since I have been home for a visit.:thumbsup2

Oh my goodness....pas you would be a perfect Disney Monorail Nurse!!! Wonder if there's any money to made....just think...helping guests feel better while spending time with Mickey & Minnie. Be still my heart.:goodvibes

Happy Saturday, RCers!!

Took me forever to do this multiquote and I accidentally deleted some quote I had in there...

Dani...I love your idea with Danimal! All the plans you've come with for you Poly trip are so thoughful and fun!

Deena...you've been in my thoughts and praying all went well!

 Magic, Janet, Candace...and oh, no my brain froze!!

Have a great day! Catch up later! :grouphug:

Yay! For meeting in DL!!! :goodvibes

Just wanted to pop in to say HI! to everyone!

I haven't even started to catch up on this thread, but read the last couple of pages and am in tears over some of your troubles! I am so sorry for those going thru these trials! Like Jungle Cruiser, well, I couldn't said it any better. She took the words right out of my mouth as well of my heart.

I am no longer on chemo, not for the last 2 1/2 weeks, tube out of stomach, but I landed back in hospital because of internal bleeding again. They managed to stop it, got blood replaced and I am back home ( on Tuesday.)

No matter what, we ARE GOING to WDW in JUNE~
I don't know if you ladies know this, but JC and pas keep me going, I love them both dearly!:lovestruc

And I continue to contemplate replacing our last night at the BC CL with the GF SugarLoaf.
(only RPC standard available and that's not happening right now.)

I am soooooooooooooooooo happy to see you posting. You are always in my thouhts and prayers. Yay for no chemo, and no tube. Sorry to hear you were back in the hospital, but you are home :lovestruc

Now then, WDW next month :goodvibes I think you should spend your last night in SL. Ending the vacation in your beloved GF is perfect. You can relax in the lobby, listen to the music...perfect :cloud9: It seems like you and pas are just going to miss each other. However, I will be with you in spirit

 Thank you!!! I plan on taking a pic at our Welcome to Florida rest stop...enjoying our free OJ cup while the kiddos snatch up lots of flyers :goodvibes

I got a txt from my boss today thanking me for all I do. :rolleyes2 Means nothing...and with the extra 2.5 hrs I stayed last night...guess what I splurged on....a cabana at the Poly :beach: Another surprise...oh and I added a Poly day (took an RPR day away) Shhhhh...I had to.... no cabanas available June 1st or 2nd...except Premium...uh that was $319 :crazy2:

Yes to EVERYTHING you said....I will be in WDW early morning 9/28....I hope....I will find you before you leave ::yes:: Maybe I should stay at GF just in case you happen to stop by before you go home that morning :hyper:

LuvLuvLuv: Have you heard when a decision will be made? Bet you aced it this morning! :cool1: ...I sure wish Carsland was a little closer to FL! Guess, I will just have to devour your trip report once you get back. ;) But I will do a Cars suite at AoA for sure when I book there. I'm not girly so Cars theme is much more “me”. ...REAL BACON!! WDW bacon is soooo odd. I get your excitement.

padawans: If only the TAG Fairy was alive and well for that one... “If I could find a wedgie proof bathing suit, I might try slush gusher or summit plummit.” :joker:

Janet B: So you were on the phone with a CM becauuuuuuse...???? ;) I too am looking for a alt 'Ohana so mabic lightning can strike twice! What day? :listen: My ADRs have been generally set, but I was just trying to see what availability was out there for Aug 19 at different locations just in case I can stay a little longer after check out... Maybe DtD, or Tony's or...

Jungle Cruiser & JanetB: My Mom and Dad are visiting NJ from FL right now. This past Wednesday they were just in Dover and Lake Hopatcong and also at the Cracker Barrel... wish I was up there with them so I could meet you guys somewhere Sunday! :cutie:

chimo2u: A 25th anniversary WDW bash sounds fantastic and so much fun to plan. If you start planning now for 2016, just maybe you can break pas130's all-time RC record. :rotfl: We love to watch ELP from the Resorts, too. :worship: We too just stop everything to watch every time we are at WDW.

sjs314: What a cute story. Just the ammunition a younger brother needs to needle his older brother. :thumbsup2

pas130: Did we all just know you'd end up Poly??? Yay, I'm so happy for you being at one of your Happy Places. :dance3: Is your B'day Aug 19th by any chance???? ;) Keep thinking good thoughts til you are on your way to FL! Then kick back, enjoy vacation time and don't think work. Once you get back home, it sounds like time consider new work options that let your talent shine :butterfly rather than be squashed. :crowded:

disneydreamin247: Yum for dinner at 'Ohana on the 15th at 5pm. Ooooohhh, maybe we can do this. I'll PM you. ::yes:: You know, JC has a great point. With your many creative talents, maybe you can broaden your horizons to a career move to utilize them. Getting paid for what you enjoy doing.:lovestruc ...Date night with your big man Danimal is so cute. :groom: I second the idea of BW, my happy place. Or what about DQuest and Dtd?

LuvLuvLuv, pixarmom & padawans: Make that me three on TIW. :thumbsup2 It just works so good for us, especially with the FL res and AP room only discount. The 20% off everything is nice and we prefer the flexibility to order what, when and how we want.

Minnie&Nana: RC NYC weekend trip should definitely include the Broadway show, a visit to Lady Liberty, fantastic food (esp Italian!)...and maybe a quick DCL excursion out of NYC? ::yes:: Speaking of road trips... your FL road trip is on soon! :drive:

Mousemommy1: Big summer fun for you!! :flower:

GrumpyGrandma: My NJ cousin loves DL more than WDW if that's possible. :goodvibes She goes to DL often as her DH has business there and he is always booked at a hotel that has view of DL property. So they upgrade to one of the DL hotels for minimal cost to them. She and I have tossed around the idea of going together. Of course we wouldn't get his work discount, but she'd be well versed about discounts we'd qualify for. ::yes:: Maybe we could plan it when you and other DL RCers are there.

Lulu's Mom: What the heck, I say just replace all the days with GF Sugarloaf. :goodvibes Glad to hear chemo is done and your trip is on no matter what! :wizard:

pas130... There is an opening at DL now, so an opening at WDW can't be far off... Something to smile about... ;)

Off site Condo Seaworld Sat & Sunday
Monday off to Royal Pacific (plas t take DD for ice cream for her birthday at HRH thank you)
Friday off to Poly CL....woohoo...only 2 nights but we will do lots of swimming and snack room....then hop back on the road to Myrtle Beach...almost 1/2 mark back toNJ...scored a great deal on 2 BR beach condo for 3 nights...do some laundry, swim, decompress...whine about how I don't want to go home  My father packed up and moved to SC last month (very suddenly) so he may visit us, I hope so the kids miss him. Funny story, my WL CL reservation was still intact....with no deposit they transferred the money from it long ago...long in rc time. Glad the CM caught it :crazy2:

LOVE the plans! :thumbsup2

I don't really enjoy the BW. :duck: I think he would prefer hitting the parks anyway, like we used to in the good old days.

Dani: Great idea!! Think I will get these for my 2 nieces ... and FYI, you probably know, but we buy our trading pins on Ebay, we get a lot of pins for a great price.

Yeah for a date night with Danimal! ...:cool1:

I have been looking into them but I'm afraid to get scammed. :( I'm going to surprise Danimal with a few to get started when we're down there.

Janet you brought back a wonderful memory to me this am, in fact I am still smiling thinking of it. *TL was newly opened and both my DS were anxious to try out the HumungaKawowBunga(sp)?
My eldest almost fell as he went to stand up at the end and the cast member standing there said " Get your bearings young man" with this Aussie *accent. We all heard the CM's remark (DH & I) were sitting in the viewing stand and Jason had just come down the other side of the ride. Jason loved teasing his older brother about that day every time we went to TL

That's such a beautiful memory, Sheila.

Dani, I think date night with Danimal sounds great! Kids love one on one time. What a handsome date you will have. The gift bags sounds great. You are one talented lady. First we find out you are a makeup artist, you are a TA, a party planner...we need to find you a new job that uses these talents!

It's a gorgeous day in NJ. We are off to a barbeque this afternoon. :cutie:

Enjoy your day BBQing!

I wish I could find something else that was stable. I have self confidence issues and I'm afraid to try something new 100%.

YAY for kidnapping!!!! I want to find a better, healthier place. I have other offers, but I am a bit nervous as I have worked other agency jobs and the grass is rarely greener... But I am watching dear friends so burnt out, they are different people. Nursing is a roller coaster, hoping we hit bottom and are on our way up the hill..just hoping....

Have you thought about becoming a Medicare provider? Those nurses get paid $$$$! I knew an LPN that was making close to $40 an hour. I can't imagine what an RN would get. The good part is that you set your hours. You only take cases on days and hours you are willing to work.

Just wanted to pop in to say HI! to everyone!

I am really looking forward to meeting all my RC friends in August, as well as all my Poly peeps on the Poly in August thread!
I didn't even think of DQuest. :scratchin I will have to see what plans I can scheme up. All I know is it will be perfect because I will have the best date in the world. ::yes::

Hi all!

Just popping to in say Happy Weekend! It's a holiday weekend here, but I am working all weekend too.:crazy2: Oh well, more $$$ for Disney! And they are only 6 hour shifts, still lots of the day left to spend with the fam.

Feeling like a crazy mom lately though, my DD's are so full of energy, and talking and arguing, and more talking :hyper2: and louder talking and back talking...UGH!!!! I love them so dearly, but sometimes I wonder what made me think I was qualified to do this "mom" bit. :( I find it hard to be a good role model at all times and not lose my cool, which I do occasionally..

DH tells me they are just being regular kids, but I hope and pray we are not doing things wrong!! Sometimes I just can't wait to tell them we are going back to the Poly, :scratchin

Your fine it's normal sibling behavior. Their the best of friends and worst of enemies, and it changes by the minute. When they start to drive me nuts...and they do on a daily basis, and I have been known to lose it. I remind myself how lucky I am to have healthy, smart, happy, energetic, talkative, and loud kids. The opposite of those things would be much worse. :goodvibes

The good thing is...for the most part I leave work...and all is well...3 more shifs...3 more shifts...funny to be back at the Poly, right> I am not worried about DH's reaction. He will be happy, especially once I plop him in the cabana with a drink

 You put this very well...plus they grow so fast, and we need to embrace every moment. I can't tell you how many times I've threatened to cancel vacation becaue the thought of 17 hrs in the car

I think I can...I think I can :rotfl:

Pas I hope you find a job that works for you. I bounced around from job to job until I found this one. I've been there 4 years (which is a record for me), and have been pretty happy. I can't say it's always great, but as far as nursing jobs go it's the best one I've had. Seven years ago there was huge shortage of nurses in this state. The hospitals were paying bonuses of 500.00 dollars for every extra shift worked on top of your overtime. 30,000dollar sign on bonuses. The good times stopped about 4 years ago. Wage freezes going on 3 years now. No more bonuses. This years hours have been inconsistant. I think that is just temporary. People don't stop getting sick. This was just an odd winter is what I'm thinking. I shouldn't complain I have a good income, but the cost of living just keeps getting higher.

Dl just raised there ticket prices, by quite a bit. I'm not feeling the Disney love right now. :sad2:I'm having second thoughts about my Dl trip in September. I could spend a week at the beach for 1/2 the cost of 3 days at DL. I can't wait to see the WDW resort and ticket prices for next year:eek:.

Ticket prices stink to begin with....4 day PH for US/IoA (I bought for MIL) $150 and WDW tix...won't even go there :confused3

It's crazy at work. Warm weather is much busier, and of course nights ALWAYS busier than days...yet half the staff :sad2: ER is the new primary care, these pts are much sicker than years ago...discharged too quickly, readmitted...well, you know. Glad you are happy where you are. My job was a happy place...and it is probably time to look around. I have lots of contacts, and can call in some favors ;) BUT FIRST>>>VACATION!!!!!!!!!:yay:

pas I say even if you don't want the DL job, apply, fly out for an interview and I'll meet you for some DL fun! If they offer you a job and you don't want it just tell them you changed your mind! :cool1:

padawans I agree the DL ticket increase is crazy! I bought my DH ap yesterday when I heard they were going up. Thank goodness DD and I got ours in March! I'm sure the WDW prices will be going up soon too. My plan is to buy a 8 day PH for DH from UT for our October trip since he isn't planning on going back in 2013. My existing ap expires in Oct but will be good for that trip. I'm planning 2 trips in 2013 for me .... right Christine? ... so I'll just buy an ap now before the prices go up. Sound like a plan? :cool1:

pas Only 3 more days! A job at DL sounds like heaven and think of the CM discounts :rotfl: It is nice to dream, eh? :)

I know....I actually looked at the job description AND qualifications....this IS the perfect job for me. Part time EVERY FRIDAY/SATURDAY...I have the ER experience, I am bilingual, good customer service skills (I can bring my DAISY award). If only it was in Fla. I could fly back and forth... My dream job.... :cloud9:

It seems they dont adjust pricing to the slow economy ,but what company does? Its just part of the the every day grind.:confused3
