I happily booked my upcoming trip, and got the exact rooms and dates we wanted. So why, why, why am I now doubting what I booked and feeling a pull towards other resorts?

I figured the posters here would understand -- everyone else doesn't get it. :rotfl:

Ok, guys, WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

Do I book for the October 11-16 dates and take Danimal to see Smash Mouth? Do I just go the End of September when my RC friends are going? HALP! Can you read the desperation in my post? :rotfl2:

I'm desperate too :( What to do?? I feel torn. I need to check fall scheduling with work to make sure I won't be missing anything.

The Poly HM room is only available 10/19-22. I had her look from the end of September all the way thru October. I put it on hold just in case.... plus it'll be a little cooler at night. But that was the weekend I wanted to go to DL. The other option would be to take off right from WDW and go to DL 10/22-26. It would actually be perfect and only one request off of work--and closer to our anniversary.

But I also want to see my RC friends...... wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Boooo our dates wouldn't even overlap! I'd miss you by 3 days. :(

It might not have cooled off as much those dates, but if heat and humidity isn't a problem then go and have a great time with your munchkins!!

Until everyone has airfare and date changes are likely out of the question, would wait to book around other RC trips - if that makes sense? After all, this is a thread devoted to changing!:thumbsup2

I get back from a nice looong lunch to find everything posting and RCing away ... so something is right today!

Good morning, my wonderful friends. :grouphug: I can't thank you enough for all your kind thoughts and prayers. I have been doing chemo off and on for 7 years and was very apprehensive about this protocol. I was actually in the chemo chair with my iPad reading what you all had written. I can't even begin to say how much it meant to me...and the fact that I did much better than I could have hoped shows that friends and their support do make a difference. :grouphug:

One side effect from chemo is the infamous "chemo brain" (it's actually just an excuse for those of us whose memory is sometimes lacking) I have read the thread this week, but can't begin to comment on everything...this has to be the most active (as well as best) thread on the DIS! So, I apologize for what I miss!

:wave2: to everyone and to echo Minnie & Nana Happy Friday!

Hi Sarah!! So happy to see your post  and no apologies needed, just so glad to know you seem to be tolorating this round of chemo better than the last. And you lift US up too my friend, by your positive thinking and wonderful friendship.

I just want to say how much I love my RC family. Thanks for putting up with me :grouphug:

I was just looking over the F&W deets and saw Smash Mouth is playing. Danimal loves them! This gives me more things to ponder. :scratchin

Dani, I echo others RCers, there is no "putting" up here, we are very lucky to have you in our lives!! And you are beautiful, don't EVER let anyone tell you or make you feel otherwise.

PAS: woohoo!!!! :goodvibes Great choice HRH :goodvibes I'll have lounge/resort buddies :cool1: I hope HRH changes her mind about the Halloween party. I'm sure she'd love it! :goodvibes There will be quite a few of us there that weekend, You, Myself and my BFF/and my sons (19/16) , Deena, Janet?, Amandaw......I Don't know if that is all of us, but that is quite a few! I think the Sept 30 MNSSHP is going to have a few of our fellow RCers......how exciting! :yay: I'm just so excited our paths are going to cross

Marie, as I PM'd you not sure about my dates ... But just found out the Sam's BFF has no dates off in Sept or Oct. .... SOO, not sure if she will be joining us...her mom wants to wait until her DDs school starts and see how it goes but how can I plan and do that??? I may just throw caution to the wind and GO with you all!!

janet my friend Up for the challenge of a Mother's Day recap....

Hmmmm.... well just got finished with some "ghost-writing" for a special friend and yes, could probably swing a RECAP and it would be fitting for all us RCers ... moms, fur baby moms, moms in training, Moms by friendship ,,, etc. :goodvibes And a very special Mom's day to Christine and Sheila...

Someone just booked a Deluxe Room at WL (and a CY room for MIL) just one night (can't save $$$ to save my life):rolleyes1

Pas ... NOTHING you do will ever surprise me!!! I actually had a feeling you might do something like this!! (And TOTALLLY understand, I love my EMH hours at MK too!! :woohoo:)

Gah! I will never ever be able to keep up with this thread! I feel like I should quit stopping in since every time I do I am so far behind :faint:

I see lots of people need hugs so.... Mother's Day will be sad here too since it's the first one since I lost my mom.:sad1:

luvluvluv, glad you had a great trip. Did you use online check in with CL? I was curious about you saying your room at YC was ready before you left the Poly. That sure would be nice during my June multi split!

As for RCing, I now have an AOA/AKL CL split for August. DH's car pooped out on him and we have to skim vacation funds to buy a new one since the car account is short. :furious: Haven't changed the ticker yet because I'm really not feeling like it's gonna keep :lmao:

Have a good weekend all! :goodvibes

Oh and a very

Happy Birthday to Bree on Sunday!! :yay:

party:

:tinker: Hope all her wishes come true!!

I did do online check in. I said that I would be there at 9:00am on the online check in form, but we didn't end up leaving Poly until about 10:30. I got my text at 9:49am! It was sure nice to get over there and have a room ready!

Happy Mother's Day to All!! Have a great weekend everyone!! Hopefully I will have some pictures soon!!

Dani, no one deserves to be treated with anything but respect. I am lucky enough to have met you and you are a beautiful woman inside and out. As others have said, document what happens and don't sell HR short. You never know, they may be able to help. In the meantime  and know you are loved.

There has been discussion about the weather in September. We have gone mid-September the past couple of years and are going again this year. It can be very hot, however last year wasn't as bad as the previous. We just adjust our trip. Get up early, go into the parks, spend the heat of the day inside or at the pool and then go back out at night. The upside to Sept (after Labor Day and before the F&W festival) is it's Value season, less expensive and not crowded.

LuvLuvLuv, welcome home! Sorry it was so hot, but look foward to hearing all about your trip.

MouseMommy, sounds like with all the RCing you now have the perfect trip planned :cloud9:

:wave2: to everyone and to echo Minnie & Nana Happy Friday!

So nice to see you checking in...you must be one strong lady!::yes:: Glad to hear you have time to check in with everyone.

Happy Mother's Day to all my RC friends!!!! :goodvibes

Sheila ~ My thoughts are with you this Mother's day.

I_Heart_The_Mouse ~ Sorry you are having your first Mother's day without your mom.

This has been quite the busy thread today!!:) I have been out all day helping my senior parents gardening, and now we are off to take eldest DD to girl guides camp for two nights :scared1: Can't let her see my worry!!:worried: No I know she will have a great time and the weather is great here. I hope everyone is having a good Friday...:goodvibes

Ok, so obviously I'm new to the whole CL thing. We are keeping our DDP. I know that it's probably going to be a lot of food...especially in the July heat. I want to be able to take advantage of the CL evening offerings, however most of our ADRs are between 5 and 5:45 pm. I did change one to a lunch instead and plan on hitting the CL apps that night. We will also be able to get the CL apps on our arrival day as we will get to the resort around 4 pm, unpack and get some apps, then go to MK for EMHs.

We will utilize the lounge for breakfast just about every day, and since we plan on being in the parks mostly at night, we will be able to snack in the lounge during the day...

Should we move more of our meals to lunch time in order to have a light meal of apps at night (obviously the evening offerings are more substantial) or should we move some of our ressies a little later (like 7)???

I'm so torn, because we will visit the parks at night based on the EMH's but I was thinking with the 5:00 pm dinner times, we would be able to get to the parks by 7:00 and have a good amount of time in them...we will also do some early EMHs...it's very difficult for me to imagine this commando family slowing down, but that's our goal this trip...suggestions??? :confused3

Phew I was beginning to feel lonely! I really have zero experience with CL, but I like your plan of eating breakfast in the lounge, (no groceries really needed for you except maybe water?), and apps when you can. Maybe some nights you will stop in for a nibble in the evening when you are back at the resort? Sorry I am really no help...but hopefully someone else will be !:goodvibes

I think tonight is decision night....stay tuned popcorn::

We've never purchased groceries at WDW. We will have access to water and drinks at the lounge, plus we'll have our mugs...between CL and our DDP, we shouldn't have to pay for any food! :rotfl2: except we are paying OOP for our anniversary dinner, and since we are eating at Artist Point and the girls are going to Cubs den, it's perfect because we plan on getting apps and drinks in the lounge before dinner so we just have to buy our entrees at dinner (and maybe one drink...I like to have a glass of wine with a good meal :goodvibes)

Oh nice! First I heard about the Artist Point Dinner and Cubs Den! Sounds perfect! The menu there looks soooo yummy! I guess you saw DH and I will be having our night out while the kids are at the Neverland Club but without an ADR at Epcot and seeing where the mood takes us. :) Yes your trip sounds like it's all coming together so nicely now. :thumbsup2

It's coming together very nicely now!!! So much so, that I have nothing to change, so now I'm just making my siggie prettier....:rotfl2:

It's still changing...

I like your Epcot idea, but I'm loving the fact that our date night will be in the same building as the girls, though we are probably going to swing over to MK for a ride on Space Mountain...

Candace I posted about this a few pages back. I definitely plan mostly lunches so we can maximize our lounge usage. A couple others agreed that it's the best way to do CL. I know pas said she does the same. I like to grab breakfast in the lounge before heading to rope drop. I usually plan a lunch ADR for us in the park for our park days. At night we like to hit the lounge for 5 to eat some yummy evening offerings and enjoy a beer or 2 (or 3!). Then we either head to the parks and have CS when we're hungry or hang around thr resort swimming and watch the EWP and fireworks from thr lounge while enjoying dessert! It's a great way to enjoy Disney, especially with a longer trip planned
