AS Sports Questions

Just booked a 7-night reservation last night. Wanted to go with AS movies, and the cost was around the $850 mark for middle of July. CM came back on the phone and said he had a room in AS Sports for $660. Well for a poor schmuck like me bringing my two younger brothers to Disney as an anniversary gift to my parents (one week alone for the first time in 23 years), $660 was too much to pass up.

My question(s) are: What am I in for. Noise doesn't bother me, and I'm up before most people. Will this place drive me crazy, or can I handle it for the good price?

That's a pretty big difference. Wonder why. AllStarMovies and Sports should be the same price, with-in $10. A preferred room will run you $10 more a night. But, the difference is 121 to 94. Not sure why. Anyway....the noise level should be about the same for both resorts. They are the same except for different theming. Go and have a great time. What a nice person you are. Lucky parents you have.

Thanks, I couldn't figure out the big difference either. Not going to worry about it though.

We stayed at All Star Sports the very first time we went to WDW, and we loved it. I really felt the Disney magic there. The only noise I remember was children laughing, and that was fine by me! I personally loved ASSports better than the Beach Club, where I didn't particularly feel the Disney feeling.
The All Stars just seem to be more upbeat and casual, and fun.

We went last year and are going again next year. They are all the same (Sports, Movies, Music). The only thing better about Sports is that it is the first pick up and drop off on the bus (you share with the other 2 All Stars)
I picked Sports because of the bussing system and because of the theme for my husband.

The sports is wonderful..we have stayed dozens of times.

It is the first resort in the all start area..so very convenient.

The food court is very good...better than at the moderate resorts.

We stayed in the Touchdown building a few years ago, and really enjoyed it! We have stayed in deluxes, and they are wonderful - but the values are nice in their on right. On our next trip, we are going to stay at All Stars Music! You just can't beat the price.

Oh, the Sports has a great pool with Goofy playing baseball and shooting water at everyone. My kids loved it!

And I also think you are wonderful for doing this for your parents!!
