As God as my witness.I'll never be sick at Disney World again~~~wrapping things up...

Wow I've missed a few posts...I'm still trying to figure out why your MIL needed a trailer in the backyard. Did she put it back there after the dog went missing...maybe she thought oh this is it....they're kicking me out??

Your picture are great....I am the type of person who gets their foot stuck or hand or whatever all the time...I am impressed you did not fall down getting your leg out. Believe me I would have fallen...brusied my hip and made a huge scene. It always happens to me...awful! I'm just impressed you put the pictures on here. It made my day. I was having a bummer of a day and you made me laugh out loud...Thank you!!

Can't wait to hear more about your 10 State trip.

Those are wonderful pictures of Mt. Rushmore!!

I've been on several of THOSE kinds of road trips, camping trips, vacations- you name it! Horrible, I tell you, horrible!!

I learned a long time ago not to try to figure out what MIL is thinking, because I just can't think the way she does.

I am an uber clutz! I'm always covered with bruises and most of them I can't remember how I got.

I think all parents have experienced those kind of trips. I'm not sure what it says about my sanity that I tried it again.

After rescueing my foot from the ferocious dinosaur, I led my pack of embarassed family members towards Primeval Whirl. This has become a family favorite and the kids were excited to get grandma on it. I think MIL was learning to be nervous if the kids seemed overly excited about a ride.

We had just gotten in line with only about a 10 minute wait, when Ethan decides he HAS to go potty NOW.....back through the line Ethan and I went and we were bummed that we would miss the ride. When we got to the exit the cm told us we could come back and catch up to the group when we were done.

I spotted this while I was waiting for Ethan.....I thought it was funny.

We hurried back to the ride and were able to catch up a few minutes before our time to ride.

Evan, Bailie, and I got in one car and as the safety bar came down, we discovered Bailie had a little problem....

We were all dying from laughter and barely managed to get the cm's attention, so she could fix it before we left the platform.

Free at last

After our time travel visit to MIL's childhood, we treked over to Tough to be a Bug.....this is a sentimental favorite of mine because we first saw it in Disneyland 6 years ago. I had never experienced anything like it before.

We wound our way through the tunnel that leads under the tree of life...

Seconds after we made it to the doors for our 15 minute wait....they appeared..............

a laughing, screaching, cheering, foul mouthed mass of Spirit Fingers.

In general I have nothing against cheerleaders. Yes, they are a little too excited about a ball and where it's going, but I can ignore them.

But you put a group of 25 along with their chaparones, and I use that term loosely, and they become so annoying that only the Brazilian tour groups can rival them for the #1 annoying thing at Disney World.

We were pushed and elbowed untill I was a bout to hit someone. Not to mention the "chaparones" were as bad if not worse than the girls. And the language they were using could have made a sailor blush.

I think the only person in the area who wasn't ticked was Evan, who was just embarassed to be seen with his family.

The spirit fingers with hair continued to scream and squeal throught the show, even Ethan was annoyed. If you can annoy an 8 yr old boy, you're good!

We decided to spend a little time exploring before FOTL. We came across a group in Africa and stopped to listen. the kids got involved and played some instruments, and I had to snap this pic of MIL with some of her cargo....

Up next......sucker envy...

So glad to hear that this year's Mt. Rushmore trip was better than the one years ago!

What a relief that Bailie was able to get her arm freed before the whirling began! :lmao:

Ughhh -- large groups of school-age children are just a recipe for obnoxious behavior! In fact, I can hear that kind of thing right now as the students have a locker break! :sad2:

Love all the dinosaur pics- they are funny.

I'm glad your trip went good. That looks really cool. Road trips can be a lot of fun but can also be a huge hassle and pain in the butt. Thanks for sharing your trip.

I've never been on PW- but after seeing your pics it looks a lot cooler than I thought it was. So maybe in the future i'll try it. :goodvibes

Wow I had to catch up on three updates. I have been too busy. I had to LMAO at you getting stuck. I thought I was the only one who got into messes like that. I would have been screaming that I couldn't breathe. If I feel trapped I panic and can't breathe. I am crazy like that. I loved all of your pictures. It sure looks like yall had fun.

The Mount Rushmore photos are great, the girls were actually watching the Mt Rushmore Phineas and Ferb episode today :rotfl:

Sorry the cheerleaders spoilt the ride, luckily I haven't met any of them yet!!!!

Love all the silly photos :rotfl:

Just finished getting through your TR so far! Looks like you guys had an awesome time. Reading about your MIL has definitely made me appreciate my future MIL a little bit more! You are far more patient than I!

I don't know how you teach middle school!:worship::worship::worship:
There isn't enough prozac in the world to get me through a day of that!

what I like most about it is the car spins as you go through the track, so it's a new ride each time.

I was in public so I tried to keep whatever dignity I still had!

Do you have cheerleaders in the UK? If not, you're very lucky.

Welcome to my crazyness!

No matter who your MIL is, there's always someone who's got it worse.:thumbsup2

It's near Asia on the way to Everest....I get so confused in that park so my directions are as clear as mud.

observant, thy name is Cherie.

Wow! I'm finally caught up- I fell asleep with my laptop and woke up to one of those infomercials, but I'm here! :rotfl2: I've been so busy lately. and traveling too. We're in Boise for awhile now. I'm glad your roadtrip went well - thanks for sharing! I can't believe your MIL caused so much trouble while you were gone.

I've woke up to an informercial before...it's never a good thing. I always seem to suddenly become consious during the colon clense.

Which is more important.....remodel the kitchen or go to disney world?

The logical side says the kitchen....it's still boasting it's original 1960's metal cabinets.

But on the other hand we only have 3 more years till Evan will be graduating.

Sometimes I'd swear there are two different people in my head arguing like they're on a debate team. Yes.....my mind is a scary place.

I :lovestruc my kitchen so I vote kitchen.

ok, where's the fainting smilie?

I asked my mom and sister the same question and they both looked at me like I'd sprouted horns.:rotfl2:

I just need to win the lottery so I can have both!
