What does everyone think of Artist Point restaurant? Is it worth the time and money?::MickeyMo

Love it! My dh and I eat here on every trip. It is one of our favorites. Last trip, we did the chef's selection menu, and in my opinion, it was a great value. We don't spend any more here than we do at our favorite "nice" restaurant at home.

The Portabello Mushroom Soup and the Berry Cobbler are both to die for!!

Give it a try!!

AP is one of our favs too. We've had our last two "last dinners" there. I like the food and the atmosphere. I've gotten the cedar plank salmon, and BF has tried a couple of different things. Once he got the buffalo steak, which I thought was very good. We've also had some very good appetizers there...they vary depending on the season.

Another thumbs up! Never been disappointed and one of our favorites also. JUST LOVE THAT SALMON. MMMMMMM! Oh yes and that mushroom soup...darn I'm making myself hungry.

We like this place because it is relaxing and romantic yet kid friendly. We've also had great experience with service here as well. :teeth:

We've eaten there a # of times and always had a good meal and good service.

Someone mentioned buffolo, does the menu have a great deal of "game" on it?? My DH would LOVE to try something different.

My DH & I tried Artist Point for the first time last October and we had a GREAT meal!!! Food was great, service was great, and atmosphere was great!!!

We had plans to go back on our July visit, but couldn't make it! We will definitely be back in December!!!

My wife and I love Artist Point. My favorite is their cedar plank grilled salmon. The salmon is grilled right on the cedar plank and then it is served hot to your table. The smell is wonderful -- by the way, it is transferred to a regular plate.

Save room for the berry cobbler for dessert. One order would easily serve 2 people. I couldn't finish mine on our trip in May. But then I did have a salad and entree beforehand. The portions are Disney-generous, so I'd suggest skipping lunch if you plan to eat there.

We had a miserable meal here. DH's food was great, mine was deplorable--in fact the only time I can ever recall sending something back at WDW..and it still came out totally wrong.

The server was horrid, one of the worst we've ever had.

But, that said we think we'll give it another try next month, hoping the first go round was a fluke.

We absolutely loved AP. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the kids even enjoyed the meal. They gave the kids ( boys 5 & 7) a picture to color. When they finished the pictures, they took them to the hostess who gave them a blue ribbon declaring them #1 artists. They LOVED it!

Hi,

Love AP too! The buffalo is great! The chef's selection is a great deal!! Can't wait to go again!!

Another big thumbs up for AP. We have eaten there a number of times and have always had fantastic meals and service. :)

One of our favorites. DH had the salmon, and I had steak. We topped it off with their yummy Berry Cobbler for two!!!!!

can we go in on an "off-time" just for the berry cobbler?

I'm not sure when that would be, unless you're thinking of late in the evening. I tried to make a PS there for 5:00 p.m. and was told that the earliest seating was at 5:30.

Like others before me, I have to give a big thumbs up to the mushroom soup and the berry cobbler. Can't wait to go back in October!

What you recommend for the first timers who would like to eat there? We are staying at WL in September for the first time I can hardy wait.

Thanks KELLY

All this talk of the great food at Artist Point is sure making me hungry. We will be trying AP for the first time this coming December, so I am glad to read everyone's reviews here.

We love Artist Pointe & usually eat there at least once a trip. My favorite is the Buffalo, my son's is the Cedar Planked Salmon.
We have had various types of game there, venison, rabbit, elk & ostritch - on different trips. Once we were lucky enough to get a game sausage sampler, which we really enjoyed.
