Dress code? Are shorts with collared shirt acceptable?

Bobbi

When I was there in May. My son wore nice shorts with a collared shirt. They say the dress code is resort casual. I would say no tank shirts.

We went from MK back to POP to change and then back to WL.

What a waste of time. DBF changed from shorts and polo to shorts and nice button-down shirt and I changed into nice capris and a sweater set. The clothes we wore to the park were the equalivent of what most people had on.

Are you on the DDP? While we thought AP was nice, we had a better meal at LeCellier for only one credit.

You can go straight to the parks to Artist Point if you would like, you don't have to dress up. We were there a couple weeks ago, people coming in shorts/jeans, etc. The hostess said, you all are fine, we don't enforce the resort casual dress code. Just no tank tops or swimwear.

Artist Point is fantastic, you will love it!

We're not on the dining plan, and we have eaten at AP before, perhaps usually in winter, because I was taken aback when the person mentioned a dress code.

Thanks for the help.

We had dinner at Artist Point in June and there were handing out shirts to men who were wearing T shirts. So, yes, they do enforce the dress code.

The OP will be fine in a collared shirt and shorts.

Polo shirts are fine, according to the dress code -- no need to change into a button-down. Tee-shirts and tank-tops are not, so if you're wearing tees or tanks to the parks, you will need to change before your meal at Artist Point.

Uncleromulus, thanks for the WDW website link, I've forwarded it to our family/friends who will also be going. The WDW site is hard for me to navigate, I appreciate the fact that others can do it, it just overwhelms me.
Bobbi :)

The portabello and ****aake mushroom soup they have should be pictured next to the word "heavenly" in the dictionary... :thumbsup2

<edit> LOL it filtered out the 2nd mushroom type, I guess because the word starts with the bad word for "pooh" LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Hmm.... can't the bad words filter search for the bad word followed by white-space or punctuation, instead of just the four letters? :-\
