How is the buffalo sirloin at AP? I am thinking of ordering this, but I have never tried any type of buffalo dish, so I just wanted some opinions.

Also, can anyone recommend a very good wine that they serve here. I mostly enjoy red, but if one of your favorites is white, then that is fine as well.

I am really looking forward to dining here! I have read so many great reviews.

Buffalo is very good. You need to have it cooked no more than medium rare as it does not have the same fat levels as beef so if you cook it too much it dries out very easily. If you like Medium or more I would take as pass and order beef.

Wine wise, my favorite match is domestic Syrah. Cabernet also works really well as would Zin. Basically any big hearty red will be good.

I just had it Saturday, it was gooooooooooooood

Wish I could remember the wine my friend ordered, it was a pinot noir.

The Buffalo is good - just don't get it cooked more than medium. As far as the wine goes, I'd agree with Booyakasha that a full-bodied red would be best. I'd go for a Zinfandel myself. But if you're not sure, we've found that the suggested wine paring on the menu is always a good choice.

I had the buffalo this past jan and on every previous trip to WDW. I LOVE it and would reccomend it to anyone. So tender and so flavorful! Anyway try it, if you are a steak lover! As far as wine, go with the wine suggested, they will not steer you wrong!

Thanks! It sound very good. I usually order my steaks medium or medium well, so thanks for the tip concerning this. I will order it medium.

Really, Medium is too much for this cut. Give Medium Rare a shot you will not be disappointed. :)

Buffalo is very good and absolutely no waste!

As for cooking, ask what the chef reccomends and go with that.

I have had the buffalo twice at AP. Both times it has been excellent. I would have them cook it medium because it does dry out. Also, it tastes so good you just want to keep eating. It is a very rich dish so you have to tell your brain "I am going to stop eating". Otherwise you may over do, eat wisely.

Actually compared to beef. Buffalo is lower in fat and cholesteral i.e less rich.

Now what you put on it or have with it is a different story. :)

I had the buffalo steak just two weeks ago and it was excellent - I also went with the wine that was recommended. My favorite meal of the trip, even better than the sturgeon at Jiko.

My DH had the buffalo steak when we ate at AP a few weeks ago and it was really good. He ordered it med. rare and it was cooked just perfectly. He also had the venison spring rolls which were good.
