The bulbs shining depend on mA rating. Quality light bulbs have rating between 150 and 200mA. Low rating bulbs can easily burn out.

While talking about light bulbs, a Christmas tree should have 90 to 100 light bulbs per foot.

Every bulb must have Twist-proof socket.

If you are looking to buy pre-lighted artificial Christmas tree, you should check the light strings with 8-10 inches between the lights on the string. Appropriate space in the light string is good to attached with tree.

You should buy light string which contain micro chip in the socket. So when the bulb removed-broken or burn out, the remaining live because of micro chip. This kind of string is quite expensive that standard lights.

Generally the needles of artificial Christmas tree are made from PVC. The high quality PVC increases the strength and rigidity of the needle and gives the realistic look. This kind of PVC is fade resistant.
