Arrrrggg! Jungle Cruse Top Ten ...

I have been trying to get in the Jungle Cruise Top Ten all week. Sometimes I remember when VMK opening rolls around and sometimes I get in about 30 minutes late. It seems that no matter when I play, my score just misses the Top Ten.

This was what happened today. I check the scores before I go in and 10th place is 24,000. I get 34,000 and now 10th place is 38,000. I play again and get 41,000 and now 10th place is 48,000. I play again and I get 52,000 and 10th place is 52,050. I keep on getting better, but the brass ring keeps on staying just out of reach. Meanwhile, the same people (who have Tent Rooms coming out of their ears) place in the top ten again and again and again.

Finally, I gave up and played a game of Fireworks and who was there? One of the multi-top-ten Jungle Cruise players and she beat me handily at Fireworks too. {sigh} She must spend a lot of time on VMK!

I won my tent room by getting a high score in Jungle Cruise, but I played at opening.. even before getting my daily credits. That's the only way I could do it! Hang in there!!

yeah me too! i had to get in pretty much the second it opened on a weekday. weekends i have no prayer. lol!

but i got in, and did about 35, and i made it. i was very very excited!but you can make it! just come in like the first thing it opens and play, and you can make it. and i have tryed to follow those tips given beofre about jungle cruising too. from another post.

do you know what happens if you get top ten in fireworks? i heard it was a nemo chair... i'm tempted to now try and get on first thing and see if i can score one of those. however i think that woudl be way harder! lol!

I've been trying to get that elusive tent room. I go directly to Jungle Cruise at 10am. I always end up in the top ten, but never 1st place. I've only got 7 more days to try and get one before we head to WDW.

you don't have to be in first to get the tent room, just the top ten. thats strange that it did not work for you...

It is definitely the top ten list, not first place. I just did one of my mule accounts and came in 8th and got the link for the room.

You don't keep getting them, so Wynsome and others don't have them coming out of their ears, LOL In fact, Wyn never got a Tent code, since she had hit the top tens before they started doing that.

Ahh thanks for the info. I got on the top ten long ago before they started giving out the rooms, so I'll have to work with the mule in the morning.

Yes, it's true. Each player only gets the tent code message once.

Also, the very first time you or your mule, plays, you get the poster and 50 credits. However, if you get a high score on that very first time you play cruise, you do not get the poster and 50 credits, only the tent message and 100 credits. Thus, I crash first, get the 50, then play for the 100 and tent.

Ever subsequent top 10 will get you 100 credits, and that is it. In the early days, they used to give film, but no more. Wish they'd bring that back!

Yes. You have to try and get in the top 10 fist thing when VMK opens. And do the best you possibly can. I did this and placed in the top 10 a couple days ago. Only I didn't know that you had to actually go to the parks to get the code. (Just give me the darn thing in an email already!)
So I'm out 1 tent room that I earned with 54,000 since I can't possible get to the parks.
Oh well. Life goes on. If I can survive what my life has gone thru, I can definitely survive without this room. *sighs*

But instead of trying to get the top 10 now with 10 minutes of play, i just crash in the first screen and make at least 100 guaranteed credits in the same amount of time or less.

Double ARRRGG! I just made the top ten (with 52K) and I received the message, BUT I didn't see the link. When I deleted the message, I saw the link floating on my screen. And now ... it's gone!

Same thing happens to me, although I never get over 45,000.
This Morning I was having a GREAT game, only to have VMK crash on my last 'lap'.
Oh, well.......It's not like I'm going to WDW soon anyway

OMG! I had someone here offer to get my tent room for me!
Yay! And I'll always thank him for it.

Anyways, I've had VMK crash on me right as it was heading for the return dock. Either that or their server would boot me off (connection lost). And that would also happen during a really good game.

Me thinks they need new servers.
