For what ever reason my DH decided to book an early flight. We will land a little after 10:00 then we need to get our bags and our rental car. I know Animal Kingdom Logde will not let us check in before check in time but do you think they will let us use the pool until we can check in? :confused3

Yes. Not only can you go swimming, you can stow your bags, use a locker, use the locker room - which has showers. (I'm pretty sure no hair dryers though) You can also check -in, they will send you a text when the room is ready. Further, thre's a chance your room will be ready. Further, if you have a package deal- i.e. meals or park tickets- you could head to a park as soon as you get your KTTW card (room key, ticket, meals, charging- all in one card), and you can also start using dining credits right away.

the only thing you won'tbe able to get right away is any luggage tha you tagged with the yellow ME tags. Those won't arrive until late afernoon. So if you want to go swimming, you'll probably have at least one carry one bag (Or maybe wear swim suits under yor clothes?).

Also, AKL has activites all day long. In my opinion, it has the best resort activitiesof any WDw resort.

You can check in as soon as you arrive, but your room might not be ready. They will give you your key to the world cards with your park admission and dining credit (if you have the dining plan) and then you can leave your bags there and either enjoy the pool or go straight to a park.

We usually arrive around lunch time and if the rooms not ready we will head to the pool, grab lunch and relax for a while. We always pack our swim suits in our carry ons.

The last three years we have arrived at the Poly at 7:30AM. Twice they had a room available for us and checked us in. The other time they held are bags for us until our room was available at 3.

We always arrive at about noon and we have always been allowed to check in. We usually stow our bags and head to Animal Kingdom since its the smallest park. We come back after dinner, get our bags, and then go to our room. Have fun on your trip!

&ou can check in when the computers roll over at 7:00 am. Disney speak for check-in is latest room availability.

Believe me, they want you to get your KTTW card and start spending money........

Yes, and the opposite is also true- We've had late flights home, so after checking out the resorts have stored our luggage and we were free to go to the parks one last time. We also went swimming at the resort, using the changing rooms at the pool (and having to take home wet swim suits in our luggage!)

Just make sure to pack bathing suits of whatever you'll need in your carry on bags - since you might not get your luggage for a few hours after coming off the magical express.

Just chiming in to say that there's a really good chance you'll be able to get into your room, especially if you're going during a low-crowd period. We arrived at the Poly at about 9:30 on our last trip and were able to get right into our room. We went in, stored our bags, did a quick change into warm-weather clothes, and were getting ready to head out the door on the way to MK when the bellman arrived with our bags from DME. It worked great! We had planned to just stow bags and go, so we were pleasantly surprised that they had our room ready.

Thanks guys. :thumbsup2. We are going to rent a car so we should be able to get into our bags if needed. It will be nice to take a dip in the pool when we get there. This is our 8th trip to WDW but our 1st time in a resort! :cool1: I can't wait!!

Just like everyone else mentioned, you will still be able to check-in and get your keys and all. We always have an early flight going to wdw. This year, my flight is at 7:15am so I will be arriving at MCO at 9:15 and should be at POFQ at around 10-10:30am. Sometimes our room has been ready since we always go during a "slow" time of year. If not, we go to a park and wait for the text. We use DME so we don't have to leave our bags.

Ditto what everyone else said! :) We have arrived by 11 before and have checked in and were surprised to find our room was ready! If you room isn't, they will store your bags for you and text you when it's ready! So enjoy the pool or parks in the meantime!

Last 2 times in NOVEMBER, we had to wait till AFTER 3 to get to the room. Not so good considering we drove 10 hours already.

But they take you bags, and there is alot to see if you are new to the resort.

We arrived at about that time during Spring Break at Pop, and were able to get our room when we checked in. So you never know...

We plan every WDW trip to be at the resort by noon, and flyout later in the day.

It makes you feel like you have an extra day of vacation! :thumbsup2

Hello all, just had a question and was wondering if anyone else has run into this before and could give advice?

My husband and I are DVC members and will be staying on points Sept 12 - 21 in a 2 Bdrm villa at Boardwalk. We have 6 guests staying with us as well, most of whom will be on the exact same flight as us. However, one or 2 of our guests may be arriving several hours earlier in Orlando. We are wondering if they would be able to use the Magical Express bus service and head to the resort before us? My husband and I and most of the party will be renting a large van when we all arrive several hours later. I know the early arrivals could just wait for us at the airport but was wondering if they have the ability to use the magical express bus and say hang out at the resort/pool before we officially get there to check-in?

Any input really, really appreciated! Thanks so much. :flower3:
