Arriving at MK just before HEA starts?

If we arrive at the park at 8:30ish and HEA starts at 9pm (this upcoming Saturday night), could we walk up Main Street and join the crowd in front of the castle to see HEA?

Or will we be directed away from the hub because it’s too crowded and no there’s no more room for us?

Will we be able to get into the park at all to go on rides at that time or will the crowds be blocking us?

They keep walkways open, but it is crowded and hectic. If you're going for rides, shouldn't be a problem. If you're trying to get up to the hub to view fireworks, I wouldn't.

We did that 2 weeks ago. Ate at Californina Grill and walked over. Arrived about 8:15 and were able to get a viewing spot near the hub. Everything around us filled in by 8:30. but you should still be able to find a good place to watch.

Depends on day of week and time of year as well. We did a Plaza dessert party view back in September and the space right outside the gated area, with basically the same view, was open until 20-30 minutes before.

Depends on your definition of “we“. Saturday night in particular is packed, and even more so because now you’re dealing with it not being shown every night due to the Christmas parties. I’ve never seen crowds for fireworks like I have on a Saturday night in Christmas party season. If it’s you and one other adult who is going to have no viewing issues, you can probably manage it and squeeze yourself in shoulder to shoulder with someone. If you’re talking about a party of five or six with several kids, you’re gonna have a very difficult time finding a spot.
